I NEVER write online reviews, but was looking up hours for the Nut Shop and saw the low rating. Agree with the last poster, low rating is TOTALLY unwarranted, so I felt obligated to break my no review streak :)
Their chocolate is delicious, and I’ve never had a bad customer service experience, on the contrary they have always been helpful, friendly and gracious.
Try it!!!

This specialty chocolate shop definitely doesn’t deserve such a low rating. We always buy our holiday chocolates here & a half pound box makes the perfect classy yet affordable gift.
The chocolates are made in-​house and they have a nice assortment. I noticed this year that they also have a large sugar-​free selection also. I really like being able to customize my boxes of chocolates to suit different tastes. They also have the best almond toffees!
Besides chocolates, there are nuts & dried fruits that can be made up into baskets etc. They also sell old fashioned candies by the pound like chocolate straws, barley candy and black licorice. Their new-​ish location is just across the street from the Colonial Diner on Rt 45. Parking is pretty easy for Broad St.
All in all, a nice local business worth supporting. The product is tasty & prices are reasonable.

Went in last Friday to pick up an order I placed 2 weeks prior. She stated, before I even walked 2 steps into the store, «I am on the phone, I am not being ignorant.» Nice. She also never got off the phone the entire time I was there…20 minutes! Customer service goes a long way, and this place doesn’t have it.

Old-​fashioned candy store on a cute main street. The red-​and-​white shop is very old-​timey. They still do things the old-​fashioned way. I read that they have machines from the 19th century! It’s like stepping back in time. The chocolates are good, but don’t expect too much in the way of exotic chocolates. The flavors are old-​fashioned, too, though they are adding some new truffles like clove truffles. If you’re in the neighborhood, it’s worth stopping in.
