If I could rate this Erik’s with zero stars, I would. We stood at the checkout for 15 minute without being acknowledged by the man working the register. He was too busy showing two shoppers pictures of bikes in a catalog. The men were NOT making a purchase, but were only looking. I think the guy working probably works on commission and cared more about the purchase of a bike more than the small odds and ends(pump and such) that we were purchasing. There were other workers in the store and it was not busy. We asked the man working– brown hair, thin… maybe in his 30’s if someone could come and check us out. Instead of calling another worker over he told us to wait a few more minutes and went back to the catalog. He offered no assistance. We put down our merchandise and left the store. Will not return. Ever.

Went to ride my newly repaired bike for the fifth or so time since it had been repaired. Was hoping to get in «one last ride» on a gorgeous Fall day. Turns out my 10 year old had smashed his bike into mine and moved the brake pad on my front wheel UNDER the wheel rim on the front right. I was PEEVED! There goes my ride AND I have to run it over to Erik’s again and pay MORE money to have it fixed AGAIN! I drove it to Erik’s in a fit, had to carry it in because the brake was so jammed the front wheel wouldn’t move. Oddly enough, the same tech that fixed my bike originally was just returning from lunch. He saw me, set his stuff down, and came right over to look. He spent about 15 minutes disassembling and reassembling and suddenly, Voila, he had made my bike like new again. I had figured I’d have to drop the bike off, come back and get it in a few days, but he was telling me he it was fixed! SO I asked him what the charge would be and he said, «nothing». Incredulous, I looked and him and said, «really?». YUP, really! I will never bring my bike anywhere else the rest of my life unless for some reason I should move. I can’t say enough good about this place!
