Service was very good. Lucy was great the last time I was there. The glasses one dishes are a a totally different story. I always try to go to a place a couple times before writing a review so I can try to make an informed decision. I went three times. First, because we had never been. Second and third because my son likes the place. Each time the glasses and silverware were dirty. Once they actually had a greasy film on them. Another time I could actually scrap the film off of the glass with my fingernail. I had pictures but they were deleted by accident. Needless to say that was the last time I went and I don’t think there will be revisit. It is a shame because the food was not bad.

Ruby Tuesday recently opened a Sunday brunch feature; so, with friends, we dropped in on the Ruby’s at Potomac Mills Mall this past Sunday. The sign on the door says the brunch begins at 9:00 a.m., but the door at this Ruby’s didn’t open until 9:15 a.m. The manager apologized for the employee’s ignoring us as we waited outside the door, so that was soothing. The food was slow coming out, even though we were the only customers; but, our server was fantastic and the food was very good. The brunch is reasonably priced and includes four courses. It’s not a buffet, which is just fine, becausse there are so many nice choices on the brunch menu. They forgot to bring the biscuits, but we were sated by the entrée and warmed chocolate chip cookies, so, we didn’t bother asking for the missing biscuits. It’s a nice quiet way to start Sunday morning and will return to give them another try. too bad, this Ruby Tuesday’s is now closed as of January 2010

Like Anna, we too didn’t feel like eating at the food court on Labor Day weekend. We make the long walk away from the food court and finally made it to Ruby Tuesday’s and was discouraged by the line. Luckily they were able to accomodate the three of us immediately. We sat down and ordered the Parmesan Shrimp Pasta, Chesapeake Catch, and Smokehouse Burger. Everything was delicious, service was great as well. Definitely a nice respite from eating at the food court.

Was out last minute shopping tonight in Potomac Mills Mall and we decided to get a bite to eat at Ruby Tuesdays. Normally I wouldn’t dare step foot in a Ruby Tuesdays unless a group of friends wanted to go but it being the only restaurant I could find in the mall it had to do. Did I mention that I worked at a Ruby Tuesdays as a bartender and server? So its not like I do not like the food its that I’m just tired of the food. To be honest with you I’ve been to plenty of Ruby Tuesdays since working there about 14 – 15 years ago. I am impressed that Ruby’s have made various strides in improving the décor and menu. I read one review that said they were unhappy because they got rid of the Sonora Chicken Pasta, well not anymore cause its back baby. Guess what I got for dinner? Sonora Chicken Pasta!!! Yana and her mother got some other chicken and pasta dish that wasn’t to their liking. The pasta dishes aren’t bad but can’t compare to Olive Garden. I will tell you what I thought was pretty good was the margaritas. On the rocks with a nice salt rim. They could have given me a better glass than the boring one they gave me. One major complaint was that our server was slow as molasses. We actually got our appetizer before we got our drinks and did not have any napkins and silverware. I will not punish the whole restaurant for one servers slowness or an overwhelmed bartender but 3 stars should suffice.

GROSS. I will never step foot in this establishment EVER again. I should have turned around and left as soon as I was seated. I’m going to keep this brief so that I can get the memory out of my head. I ordered an ice tea and the glass was dirty. You could see an actual ring around the glass. I wasn’t given any silverware. I grabbed silverware from a stack of rolled silverware. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I opened my napkin. The silverware was filthy dirty. I was afraid to drink my drink and eat my food.

So, after walking through all the«neighborhoods» of Potomac Mills… we were hungry! We did not feel like eating in the food court, so we opted for Ruby Tuesdays. Do you remember the Ruby Tuesdays before? The big portions, good food, and relaxing atmosphere? They changed the menu and not it’s more expensive, smaller portions. They also did not have the Sonora Chicken Pasta on the menu. They got rid of a lot of good menu items. The hamburger I tried was okay, but nothing spectacular. This Ruby Tuesdays changed their napkins to higher quality napkins and their dishes are the shapes square and rectangle. I think they are trying to fancy. They only give you a handful of fries too. We ordered two hamburger dishes, crabcake burger, and a shrimp pasta dish. The portions were small, but filling. Maybe it’s my gluttony, but I miss the big dishes with way too much food. Their attempts to upgrade… only upgraded the price. I think I’m going to try the food court next time.
