Save some time and money and avoid this place at all costs. Worst service I have ever experienced. Ever. If you insist on eating here, ask for anyone other than Jackie. Lack of concern from the manager, as well. Food is mediocre at best. Salad tastes like whatever they used to clean the veggies. Burger was flavorless, topped with a processed cheese food slice. Turkey appeared to be dried out left overs from Thanksgiving, and this is June. And the sandwich was covered in soup from the waitress sloshing it all over the place. And the biscuit for the soup was apparently an invisible one. One entrée never made it to our table. Just. Stay. Away.

I ate here by myself on a Saturday evening and it was pretty slow. Maybe four tables total. The food came out extremely fast, but it was quite a pain to get my order of bread(my meal came with endless bread.) The soup was a bit greasy for some reason and tasteless and getting refills was hard, since the waiter was really slow. The restaurant itself was really clean, but probably due to the lack of customers. My banana nut bread had yellow stuff all over it(maybe eggs?) and I didn’t want to risk getting sick. I asked for another order of bread and it was fine. My overall experience was ok, I will probably give them another try.

Enjoyed the experience. Came in at 625am and there was no host at front. Within 2 mins a waitress notice me and let me know she would be right with me. I asked to sit at the breakfast bar and she said ok, came over and set me up. I got a cup of coffee and proceeded to scour the menu. The waitress who was working alone manning multiple stations gave me some quick feed back on some of the menu items. I settled on the Country Breakfast and Blueberry crêpe. A few minutes later i was greeted by the manager who welcomed me and shook my hand. Very pleased with his interaction. When my food came it looked great. I noticed a small piece of hair in my eggs and immediately showed the manager who was walking by. He apologized took the plate away and had it remade right away. I noticed the cook through the window had in appropriate sanitary garments, head cover, etc., so was not concerned. The Crêpe was amazing and the food came out perfectly followed by continued interaction from the manager and Server(Brenda). I work in the customer service world and I generally do not expect perfection l but I do expect responsiveness and a people first attitude. They aced both and the food was very good. I hope you have a similar experience too.

Went in at 9:40 am. Was seated immediately. At 10 am, our waiter had been to every table in a radius around us, sometimes 3 times. I asked him several times if he could take our order, and he completely ignored me. I even told him I was having a diabetic crisis/low blood sugar attack, and could I please have an orange juice. In response? I or nothing, not even common courtesy. In twenty minutes, nobody could even take a drink order? Really? Nobody stopped by the table. Nobody made eye contact. They all completely ignore our table and visits the knees all around us. When we got up to leave, since if I didn’t get something in my stomach, I was going to pass out, ma waitress was right at our table to sweep the menus off It, but didn’t have the courtesy to even say a hello, or ask if we needed anything or why we were leaving. Great customer service, guys… Not only will I not be back, I’ll be following up with corporate.

Stopped to eat with family while traveling. They weren’t very busy(about 8:00pm) and it looked like waitresses were behind the county prepping silverware, etc. so I was surprised when we had to wait to be greeted and then wait another 5 minutes to clean off a table for us to sit at. Our waitress, who obviously was new and inexperienced,(well at least I hope that was the problem), was nervous, confused and between spilling a drink everywhere,(yeah, sh** happens), couldn’t remember to refill drinks, kept forgetting to bring things we requested and overall just didn’t make our dining experience a relaxing one. Our food took forever to come,(They ran out of chicken), but at least was good and edible. Another gentleman, I don’t know if he was regular staff or a manager eventually came over to talk to us and was more personable. Luckily I’m not the type to trash a waitress for having a bad night and my family is good about having fun no matter our situation so after writing the waitress a note with some tips on how to improve and leaving her a decent tip for incentive we left. I don’t believe I will chance returning to see if she received further training and has improved. Slow service during non-busy hours, lack of staff training seem to be a huge problem at this location. I had never dined at a Bob Evens before and only did so because my sister always raves about this restaurant chain, let’s just say I wasn’t impressed and now have more ammunition to tease her with and as a little sister this is gold so that is why the two star rating.

We had an absolute terrible experience at this restaurant this morning. After the manager sat us at the table the server became visibly and verbally upset because we were seated in his section. I guess being double seated is a crime at Bob Evans. The argument between the two became loud and made the entire restaurant feel uncomfortable. It was just unprofessional and strange. The service was unsatisfactory to say the least.

My visit today was the 1st time I’ve ever walked out of an establishment and not tipped the waitress. My daughter and I were out running errands on her day off of school. Since we were near Potomac Mills she asked if she could get the French toast kids meal at Bob Evans like she used to when she was little. We arrived at 1:10 on a Monday afternoon. The establishment was not busy, in fact the topic of conversation amongst the servers were the servers who had been recently cut. We were greeted quickly, drinks gotten, food ordered everything was great. My daughter and I ordered breakfast, no special requests. At 1:50 I walked out. From the dining room you can see the food window, and my food was just sitting there. At the time I walked out it had been 12 mins, just sitting in the window. The servers, hostess, everyone kept walking past it. Talking to each other, talking to customers at the bar seating area. When I asked the server for my check, she mentioned that my food was ready and she was bringing it now. I declined her offer, telling her that eggs sitting under a heat lamp for 12 mins aren’t eggs I want to eat. I paid for check and walked out. I could understand if they were busy, but they all seemed more interested in chatting with each other instead of working.

I’m actually giving this 4 stars b/c of the customer service… Andrew(I think that was his name) was super helpful and friendly. He let me sample the bread and helped me out with the menu. I’ve never been here, let alone heard of Bob Evans. Based on past reviews, its not the best. But the food was ok(chicken fried steak, eggs, and hash browns), and the place looked clean. So overall it was bad for a last min decision.

Please read this review completely and you’ll see why I gave them 5 stars. I moved here the fall of 2015 and was happy to realize there was a Bob Evans not far from our home. By November we were coming most Sunday mornings. Like some of the earlier reviews, the food was good; however at times there could be chaos and not always organized. The restaurant was always clean and the staff polite and respectful. I’ve noticed that there’s new management. Although this location can still be extremely busy at times, it has become very organized. Servers taking personal responsibility to support one another. Taking time to help carry plates to tables because one server would need 6 arms lol. I’ve even witnessed the hostess coming to help bus tables when no one is waiting. One morning both a manger and GM were on duty and fully engaged. This location may have had problems, but they have since seemed to find their rhythm as a staff. I’ve even been bold enough to try steak and eggs for breakfast. To my surprise the steak was TENDER&FLAVORFUL! I had to ask the manager how they cooked it only to learn the marinate their meat for at least 24 hours. Needless to say, I was impressed with his response. For the price and quality, I’ll continue to come and ask for my favorite server. She always manages to have our drinks ready without having to ask. Guess we are creatures of habit.

When I sat down at the counter during a relatively slow hour, there were dishes still on the counter from previous people and the floors were absolutely disgusting. I asked to speak with a manager to see if cleanliness was valued because the food coming from the kitchen was in close proximity to the filthy kitchen. Billie, the manager, was pretty rude and gave me excuses on why the kitchen was dirty. 30 min later, it still wasn’t clean. Now I don’t know about you, but I have a problem with my food coming from a nasty kitchen along with a manager with a nasty attitude.

Avoid at all costs. We walked in waited for 10 minutes listening to the shift manager talk to her friend while the hostess was taking care of a long line of customers. Shift Leader didn’t even acknowledge us, so 10 minutes later and after other customers walked out behind us we finally got seated. My 86 year old Grandmother was in pain for standing so long. After that, we waited 15 minutes and no waiter to be seen, I had asked the hostess to be moved because no one was apparently working that section even though tip money was still sitting on table across from us from previous customers. I requested the older bald black guy which is a dream for hungry people as he is prompt and efficient. She sat us down and another 10 minutes later some ghetto tattoo girl shows up and takes our drink order. I ordered coffee for grandma and 10 minutes again no coffee. Mean while the Shift Manager aka complainer and rude to employees and unaware of her surroundings was pacing saying she’s having a bad day after of course her friend left. Shift Leader did not offer to help her employees and I did not get the waiter I wanted. We eventually walked out after I asked the waitress if they needed help making the coffee and she forgot about Grandma and that is a No No. I slowly walked Grandma out and we went across the street to Silver Diner. Probably 5 stars compared to Bob Evans. It is indeed the only Bob Evans that hires all felons or hood rats. Hungry people beware. If you do go there only request the waiter that is a older white lady that always smiles or the older bald black guy. Those are the only two who earn their weight of work. Needless to say the older black guy had waited on 3 tables before we could get a coffee.

Took 25 minutes to be seated(party of 2). Breakfast was VERY disappointing. Service was disastrous. Once seates, we waited over 20 minutes to he greeted. Still no one came until I went back to the wait station to ask for wait staff to come to our table. They apologized. We irdered. Food came 20+ minutes later, home fries were not crispy… like steamed potatoes. My daughter’s piggy pancakes were not prepared with bananas like the photo. Soggy pancakes ended up being left on her plate. Poor service continues… if you can call«being left alone until you go look for your waitress AGAIN» service! Then that’s what we got. We found her and asked for the check. Finally Something Arrives quickly.

I’ve previously been to a Bob Evans near Baltimore, which I absolutely loved. However, this location was so terrible it’s the first restaurant I left without even being helped. I waited and waited, was finally spotted by a waitress and was told she would be right with me after she finished with someone else. She never came back over and I saw her talking with other employees behind the counter just across from me. Then a woman I’m assuming is a manager asked if I had been helped. Earlier this week I had been told a certain waiter is very good here, so I asked if he was there, which at every other restaurant i’ve been at has been treated as a normal question. Here I was shortly and rudely told that she couldn’t tell me that because of security reasons and told me I could go look and see if I saw him. Since nobody seemed to want to do their job anyway, I left immediately after that.

I title this. Disorganized to ruin any potentially good dining experience. For several years I have regularly gone out for breakfast and a meal at other times a couple times a week at a couple of «diner» places near my home. This bob evans, 3 ihop locations, montclair family diner, and dennys. Each does something a bit different… but this one is getting pushed down the list below Mc Donalds and Dunkin Donuts. That is baaadd. I want to give it 2 stars because they do apologize and try and what food you get is good. but please read on to see why you really should just find someplace else and why I rate this place 1 star. My decision wasn’t made in a snap but over a bunch of experiences. What I have noticed is this location has the following: a dedicated couple of regular servers who are great, a good quality kitchen when staffed, woefully understaffed many days of the week(especially friday through monday. omg Mondays here SUCK as does tourist season and anytime a big convention comes to the Hylton chapel), regular apologies about a kitchen backlog, absurd amounts of tour buses randsacking the place, scarily bad staff and food after 2 pm, and the kitchen is constantly out of something. Sometimes it is something you can deal with, like no country fried steak, and then sometimes you find completely unacceptable, like coffee creamer… it is a breakfast place, how do you not start calling a district manager to get you some creamer…. and any vasic variety of breakfast meat. this is kinda what you do… Hello, it is Bob Evans, right up there with Jimmy Dean as one thinks of breakfast. Upper management clearly can’t be bothered to get out here and help this location as I don’t think the regular staff is chielfly to blame. They are left completely unsupported relative to the type of traffic they get here. I know the location is convenient, right off the highway… but so is Dennys on Dale and Ihop on 234. so that doesn’t explain the regular bad overall experiences. I give places oodles of chances, make alot of excuses and go in with patience, but I can’t bring myself with 3 other options nearby(less than 5 minutes away by car) to regularly wait for a table, wait too long for the food, have to manuever my meal around someone who won’t stock the store, and then put up with rude customers and«special» regulars also agitated by the mismanagment to ruin a meal I could make at home in less time if so inclined. I think I will just mosey on down and find someplace a bit more sincere about getting organized to take care of me as I do think my needs and wants are reasonable.

Dirty, understaffed, rude. I wasted my time and money here. Waited 20 minutes just for my OJ. I kept asking my husband of we could just leave. We had been traveling for hours and he didn’t want to make another stop. Who knows maybe my food will show up before the hour is up. BTW its 2:00 on a Sunday. They should be fully staffed. I see gross dirty tables and floors everywhere! The restaurant is about a quarter full.
