my mom and i both go to this salon and get our hair done by mae! i recently got a balayage done by her and she did an amazing job. I actually got a balayage done at statements a year prior and the quality was nothing compared to the job mae did for me. totally recommend this salon and mae!

Been coming here to get my hair cut from Master Stylist Mae Lara for several years now. It’s so hard to find a great stylist that also stays consistent every time. I always expect a great haircut from Mae. I moved away to Gainesville over 4 years ago but I still travel 45 minutes to Lake Ridge every 6 weeks for my hair cut because it’s so worth it. Thanks Mae :)

I’ve been going to this Hair Cuttery for years, and it never disappoints! Mae always cuts my hair and does an amazing job every single time! I’ve had other stylists do my hair as well, and they also consistently do a fantastic job

I agree with the positive statements about this Hair Cuttery in Lake Ridge. Especially one stylist in particular, who is amazing: Mae Lara never gives a bad haircut. She is a «Master Stylist» who knows her stuff, and I always feel like I look far better than the standard price that Hair Cuttery charges, one of the aspects of HC that I really appreciate. My husband and I always go together (she will take appointments, which I recommend), and we’ve never had to wait longer than 5 mins. I can’t say enough good things about her!

Went in because we saw ethnic stylists. My little 9 year old received a trim, shampoo, blow dry & straightening iron. The place was busy & very casual. Zufran took us right away and was very nice. My baby looked so pretty and her hair was silly smooth. I was impressed since my kids are Puerto Rican & Black and I am Puerto Rican and all of us have thick hair. Everyone in there was happy too. No complaints

Was told on the phone that there are no appointments and there is no wait. Walked up and saw a sign out front that said walk in no wait. Get to the counter and was told 45 min wait. Really. It was a hair cut for my 4 year old son and it was okay. Price was the only thing that was good. I guess I got what I paid for though.

I wish I could give negative stars.
The reception was OK. Nothing great but then again they were really busy. What I really was pissed about was the horrible crooked hair cut I received by Mina. I asked for a trim. A TRIM!!! No more than half an inch. I walked about from hair grazing my collarbone to not being able to put it in a ponytail. This woman hacked off a good 1 ½– 2 inches of my hair. It is so bad. I am just now finally able to get it looking decent, a month later.
Just don’t go. Save yourself the time, trouble, and bad hair.

If you have hours of free time to wait and enjoy rude service then this is the place to drop in for a quick trim. Don’t worry about spending all of your time sitting in the reception area because there are only two chairs. Standing will surely make the time go by faster. Enjoy your all-​afternoon experience with their rude staff.
