Living in Woodacre, I love to be able to walk down and get lunch or just a bite to eat. I have a favorite sandwich that is amazing(#9)! They have a good variety of food and everything tastes good. They also have an assortment of bottled drinks. The people who work here are very helpful and generous. It is a family owned business. The owner also owns the Laguntitas market as well. You could also stop by for breakfast because they have great coffee and pastries as well as other options like eggs, toast, and or bacon.

A great spot for bottled drinks, breakfast and panini before or after a ride. The woodacre scramble with sausage was delicious! Ham and cheese panini with tapenade would have been better with a smidge less tapenade– could not taste the cheese. Lots of tasty vegetarian options, great coffee!

Owned by the same folks who own Lagunitas Market down the road. Same terrific quality and hospitality. The menu is basically the same as Lagunitas Market. The sunshine is not quite as good in Winter as it is at the Lagunitas Market, where the front door is on the West side and the patio tables are useful all year. Woodacre Market’s best attribute that differs from Lagunitas: Wine & Champagne choices range from very good enough to great for«gotta have it now» moments, and really terrific for«can’t-go-empty-handed» moments, when you just know stopping farther down the road for wine in Fairfax or San Anselmo will be a total pain in the neck. Only rub: the bathroom has a sign on it stating it doesn’t work. Yes, it does. One star off for this ruse.

It’s a cute place with a friendly staff but sandwiches are just terrible. Pastrami tasted right out of the can and bread was sub par. I am not familiar with other sandwich places in the area(so many of them on SFD road) but this one is no good. Sorry guys, I really wanted to like you, but the food isn’t good.

This is the best store between Pt Reyes and Fairfax. I’ve lived in Woodacre since 1977, and it always has been(historically) the best store in the San Geronimo Valley. So if you’re in that stretch between having just left Pt Reyes but can’t wait(or don’t want to drive all the way to) Fairfax, and need to make a pit stop for the basics, this is the place to go. There is lots of fresh deli food made, fresh baked goods in the morning and you can still get the Sunday paper there on the weekends too. Milk, bread, ice cream of course, even wine and beer. 4 stars instead of 5 because the place is pricey, but costs are high to be a small, remote store. As for the comment down below regarding«racist cholos» who work there, that would be pretty stupid for a store in Woodacre(which is next to Fairfax) to discriminate against white people now, wouldn’t it? And the neighbors across the street(Dickson Ranch) are in their 6th generation of managing the ranch which offers boarding services for over 100 horse stables(not exactly overflowing with«minority» customers one could say). Could you imagine? Hating on 90+% of your customers when only about 5% of Woodacre is «hispanic/latino»?!? As if Woodacre were filled with low riders and gang bangers. Duh. Get a clue.

been going there regularly for about 2.5 years, as i’ve been working in the valley quite often, and it’s an easy stop. first and foremost, this is THE place to get soup. i’ve been having the soups for lunch almost every work day, and have yet to tire of them. there’s usually two types of soup out, and the kinds of soup will vary. while all of them are far better than average, some of the stand outs would be the clam chowder(w/bacon!!), thai mushroom, curry chicken, pork stew, and cream of tomato w/basil. my favorite would have had to have been one day this summer when it was in the upper 90’s by 11am, and i walked in to find an ice cold pot of gazpacho loaded with bay shrimp. if they only had gallon sized containers… soups aside, i’ve found their sandwiches to be fresh, delicious, and well built. i thought the crab cakes were great, as are the orchid noodles. the people that make the place run are fantastic… attentive, fast, and genuinely nice. the cook deserves another positive mention for the soups alone. i have nothing but praise for this little«country» store in the redwoods. it’s one of the best things about living in west marin.

Love this place and don’t let any one else tell you otherwise! Great sandos, excellent selection at the deli and friendly staff! Woodacre Market will always have my patronage! :-)

The quality of sandwiches has gone way down since the new owners took over. The cheese and ham are of a cheap quality(actually the cheese was hard and stale), and I won’t get sandwiches(or any food) there anymore. They are OK for a casual passer-by that wants to get a drink or candy bar… and yes, I live in Woodacre so I know the history of this store.

I was happy with my breakfast sandwich on a bagel, though they kinda got my order wrong, when I changed from one type of bagel to another, then to an English muffin. In the end, I got my sandwich on a bagel that seemed pretty sweet, almost like a doughnut! Not sure what kind of bagel that was. It was yummy, though, as was the coffee, and the company of my dearest friends who are now living in Woodacre. Good time, will be back next time I’m visiting.

Upscale mini-mart/deli/wine-shop. Woodacre is not a big place, so this place has to be multi-purpose. For my purposes(a sandwich on the way home from Pt. Reyes) it was fine. Friendly service, quick, had just what I wanted. Large selection of bottled drinks, too. The avocado veggie sandwich was great, with big chunks of avocado, although it would have been better on bread from a local bakery rather than the mushy pre-sliced brown bread your Safeway calls«wheat bread». Orzo salad tasted a couple of days old, and although I liked the addition of dill, I would ask for moderation. And to the local who came in and accusingly asked the girl behind the counter if that was her dog sitting in the car(MUCH to her irritation) … thank you for looking out for our canine friends.(The dog was mine, the window that he couldn’t see was wide open, and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes.)

I believe it’s owned by the same family that has the deli in Lagunitas, but this place has a better food selection(especially for vegetarians), more places to sit and eat, and is only a little further up the road.
