Northern Bank & Trust Company

I have used many banks over the years. Northern Bank is the best bank I have ever been a customer of. I almost always use Main Street branch but I have been to the other two branches that are in Woburn. The people have always been both friendly and efficient. I have been going there for almost two years now and have never had any type of customer service issue at all. Unlike the mega banks the people that work at the bank actually get to know you which is nice. I would have no problem recommending Northern Bank to friends and family.

I opened an account online, went there to make a deposit and the ladies start calling each other to come see the computer.
I started feeling ganged up on. Then one turns to me and says the account is closed because I have a closed account somewhere and I couldn’t open an account.
I had an account t closed, my ex wife’s, a long time ago.
Anyway, I left, went next door to citizens bank and had the best opening account experience of my life.
You scare people away northern bank, I’ll never consider you again for my money.

DO NOT use this bank! We have used the Westford branch sparingly over the years just for convenience and I can say any time I needed anything done there was a problem. Their staff is ill-​trained, their cashiers wear tiny tank tops to work (at a bank? are you kidding me?) and like the previous review before said, they do charge you for inactive accounts. I had opened up 3 passbook accounts for my kids years ago thinking it would be fun for them to see their money grow. HA! The balance actually got lower due to all the fees from this bank. And we are taking my poor kids only has a few hundred dollars in these accounts to start with. What a fiasco!
Today I went to try and close these accounts and the manager tells me (they run through managers like Kleenex over there) that because I can’t find the pass books the kids have to come in and sign an affidavit to close the accounts! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? My 6 year old has to sign an affidavit? Who runs this bank? The branch manager du jour Jerusa Santos was particularily odious and rude.
Warning to the wise — DO NOT GO NEAR Northern Bank and Trust — unless you want to experience total aggravation and mismanagement of your funds.

My office uses this bank and I am in here about once a week to do business.
I also use the ATM which is cool as it is a SUM ATM = 0 fees for me.
It never is very busy and the staff remember me which is a nice personal touch.
The manager here is a hottie. So it brightens my day to pop in and have eye candy.
I love candy.
