Hair Cuttery

Awful! Nasty attitude hair stylist. Should have walked out! No more hair cuttery. Card thrown out! I’m done.

I’ll start by saying I’ve come here at least a half dozen times and am relatively happy with the cut each time. However the wait situation, especially my last two visits prompted me to write this post.
Today I was told it would be a 20 – 25 minute wait. There were 3 people ahead of me so that was understandable. After 35 minutes I was the only person still waiting and 3 of the 5 staff members decided to leave for coffee or lunch. The two others were doing colorings so they couldn’t take me. I gave them 10 more minutes and then left without a haircut after wasting a total of 45 minutes of a busy Sunday.
I guess you get what you pay for, and it’s time to just look for a barber shop in town.

Totally agree with the previous posts. I also had an awful experience.
I went several times to the same hair stylist and every consecutive time she did worse and worse! Naively, I thought if I leave better tip maybe she can do better job and not worse. I started leaving her $ 7 and $ 5 dollars tips just for a haircut in the hope that it will encourage her to do a better quality hair cut on my short hair. She always remembered me and my name but it did not help the quality of her work! Every time she cut my hair quicker and quicker!
Last time when I went to Ashley she did the worst hair cut I have ever had. Even the lengths of the sides were different and she had to redo it. I will never go back.

I have always had great experiences with this chain of hair salons, but this last time I got my hair cut will make me think twice about returning to this location. I had my hair cut (washed first), but the hair dresser did a poor job of cutting. There were tufts of hair longer than others and one side of my hair looked longer than the other. When I went back to have it corrected, the manager didn’t even appologize. She looked at me like I was a crazy lady for thinking that her stylist couldn’t cut hair properly. I have very straight, thick hair that is routine to cut. The stylist sprayed my hair with something strong smelling and then corrected the cut. However, the next day, my hair looked like I hadn’t washed it in a week! There was this nasty, waxy residue all over the back of my crown and on the roots along the part in my hair. The stylist sprayed something in my hair to cause this. I also had an interview in 2 days after the hair cut and I was very distressed because of it. It took 4 washes with an anti-​residue shampoo to get it even remotely better. I remembered the name of this stylist and I will never see her again. But the way the manager didn’t even do anything to correct the situation really makes me think that this is a poorly run salon.

I had an awful experience here… the hairdresser who cut my hair did not listen to what I wanted, and cut my hair all wrong. I will never go back.

I think this place is very good for a simple cut. I have very long straight hair and usually only ask for a trim. The entire cut takes less than 10 minutes, so paying high prices at fancy salon just doesn’t make sense. I’ve even had my hair put in a spiral french braid for a wedding here and received many compliments. Also, unlike some other discount salons, they don’t up sell products or services here. Maybe they see my plain Jane hair and don’t bother.
I usually go mid-​afternoon on weekdays and I’ve never waited more than 5 minutes. I’m deducting a star because I’ve never seen the same stylist twice, so I haven’t been able to develop any sense of who works best with my hair. Actually it’s a whole new crew every time I set foot in the place.

I went in there looking for a haircut with a metal blade. I am mostly bald and prefer the metal clippers to the plastic clippers. When i asked for this I was given attitude by the girl (who obviously didnt have the proper equipment for her profession). She rolled her eyes at me and I said Thank you very much I’ll get my hair done elsewhere. For any managers that may read this, This was Feb 19, 2011. around 245 pm. She was the youngest I am guessing of 4 – 5 stylists I saw there. I will never set foot in there again. You only get one chance to make a first impression and this was SHIT.
