We stopped in for some appetizers around 2 on a Tuesday. The bartender ignored us and watched us walk around trying to figure out if we seated ourselves. Never did she acknowledge us and there were only two patrons at the bar. Our waiter was extremely kind. The appetizers were just average. The pretzel was huge and the kids enjoyed it. I had the spicy artichoke dip and it was barely warm. I mentioned to our waiter that it was off and he didn’t ask for clarification.

Came for our first visit to Wisconsin Dells and found this place randomly. The food was excellent the first night so we went back the next night because we didn’t want to risk getting bad food at a different restaurant. We got the strip and prime rib special. Will definitely going back. Also incredibly affordable. Service was fast and spot on both nexts. Salad lettuce wad very crisp.

Food was very good. The place was so noisy you couldn’t hear yourself think. We ordered a soft pretzel for an appetizer and we got about ½ way through it and there was marinara sauce on the bottom of it. We told the waitress we don’t know if the pan was dirty when they put it on or how the sauce got on the bottom but we weren’t eating it. She did take it off the bill. The service was VERYSLOW. I sat with an empty beer glass for probably at least 10 – 15 minutes and then had to flag her down. When she brought our food my wife’s soda glass was empty. She did not offer to fill it. Finally my wife flagged her down and asked for a refill. I don’t know that I would recommend it. Also there isn’t view of the river from it either.

Stopped in April 16th because we were looking for a place that had outdoor seating and a view of the river. It was a delightful day with the temps in the 80’s. Dropped off the wife to park the car and she proceeded thru the bar to the rear deck seating bypassing the hostess station(no one there at the time). We’ve been to other restaurants that in the off season/slower days that there is open seating. We sat at a table for at least 10 minutes waiting for the wait staff to take our order no luck. No eye contact, no acknowledgement, it was like the table was empty. I then went to the bar and got a couple of beers, bartender very friendly and went back to sit down to enjoy the drink and the nice day. All the time the same result we were invisible. At one time a table behind us asked if they could get a someone to come over. I said nothing wanting to see if someone would help us and nothing so we finished our drinks and left. On the way out I mentioned to the manager our experience and she said that that is why they have a hostess among an apology. Understood, but many places sometimes have open seating like I mentioned before but she was missing the point. If you have a customer that doesn’t have any drinks, no menu or table setting, any one of the wait staff could have asked«Have you been helped» Pretty simple question would have taken care of the problem and this lousy rating. Hopefully she does a better job training the staff.

I went here as a recommendation from a few others who were here before. The place is decorated very well with a massive fresh water fish tank. The waitress was sweet and everything tasted well. The Dells was not that busy but this place was. Perfect place for breakfast when in town.

Great place to eat. Our waitress was amazing, super attentive and very sweet. Drinks were good. I had the scampi salad and my fiancé had the prime rib sandwich. Both were outstanding. It was a nice low key restaurant, seemed to be more locals than tourists which we enjoyed. Not alot of little kids running around. Cool rustic décor. We enjoyed ourselves.

below average. My sandwich was good, however most of our group of 7 wasn’t impressed and a veggie pizza with no cheese was 18 $ Took 10 minutes to get a waiter & water. Probably wouldn’t go back.

Highly disappointed — had steak w/shrimp dinners that were overpriced for the quality of food. Steaks were nothing to rave about, served with canned corn for a side vegetable & we had to pay an extra $ 3 for a side salad along with the $ 20 dinner. We have loved this place in the past but it has definately gone downhill. Won’t be going back again.

Went for the Friday fish fry and for the fish tanks for my young boys, Well let me tell you these fish tanks everyone boasts about are nothing to see. Move right along! I have had better fish frys. It was set out buffet style with a few other choices(light on vegetables, which seems to be the Wisconsin way.) Fried chicken in this buffet was excellent though. The food was certainly not bad but I would not return. Typical boring Wisconsin fare. Illinois has me spoiled with its good food.

We visited, on a Wednesday evening. It was a rainy evening, so the place was half empty. The décor needs updating, but the view sure helps. If you have children, avoid the wsiting area… it could cost you 20 bucks, catering to little Rollo‘s desire to hook a prize. My lady ordered the perch special. She really enjoyed it. I opted for a full slab of ribs. They spent a little too long on the grill, prior to presentation. While the ribs were a little dry… the price tag of $ 20.00, made up for it. The menu here, covers upscale sandwich selections, as well as full service meals. The prices here, are more than fair. I will definitely be back, to sample other items on the menu.

Good food and the setting is really nice. We came on a Friday for their fish fry buffet. They were recommended and they selection was pretty good. My son is 11 so he was charged as an adult — he put 3 plates into his skinny body and my wife and I ate our fill too. He loved the Perch and all the fish was good. We got in quickly — got there just before 5PM — and we had a seat right away. By the time we left it was full so get there early. The buffet wasn’t expansive but several types of fish, fried chicken was great, and the salad bar was also good. Overall, it was a good enough experience that I would be back more often if I lived there.

definitely a tourist spot, but so are most other(sparse) options in the area and the food was decent. the worst part was the wait — we were famished by the time the dishes arrived. I thought the batter on the wisconsin fish fry was decent, which had many pieces of slightly dry(seemingly frozen) flaky white fish served with chips and(too HEAVILY-)buttered vegetables. the ribs were also adequately tender and sauced but the house special of broiled chicken(fried in the oven, I think) was alright, but a little too dry. the portions are large, but the wait too long. make sure you aren’t famished when you get here, as it’s gonna take a while.

I have visited this restaurant twice in the past couple months. The first time was a weekday afternoon and the place wasn’t too crowded. We sat at the bar and everyone enjoyed their food. All well prepared and tasty! The bar area has a nice look to it and it was enjoyable. I would give 5 stars for my first visit. My 2nd visit was on a weekend night and the place was packed Got a table with no good view and service was a bit slow. Now I realize that these things happen when crowded, however, I simply didn’t enjoy my 2nd visit as much as the first. 3 stars for 2nd visit. My gf got the ribs and I got the walleye. Both were very good. I’d recommend this restaurant, just know it can be super crowded on Friday/Saturday evenings.

Who is reviewing this joint? Because we were completely mislead! SO we will write an official review! This is a tourist trap they reel you in with the fish tanks. Do not and I repeat do not come here and this is why. 1. 15 people had 15 different entrees and every single one sucked! Seriously how do you mess up a grilled cheese. 2. Actually does there need to be a #2. 3. The wait staff was rude, drinks were empty, and if I can’t drink then the food better be good. 4. Over priced. My suggestion is to stay at the water park or the river. Honestly, go to McDonalds. End of review…
