Been wanting to try this place for a while. Went last night & I was thoroughly impressed! Way bigger inside then it looks from the outside. The parking is a bit tough that is my only bad thing to say! Chips & salsa came right out & it was so good! We ordered the Taco Burrito & the special which was a chicken, shrimp burrito with cream, black beans & chorizo on top! It was delicious! We will definitely be back!

If given the option of pureed green bean baby food over PR’s again, I would gladly choose the baby food. And if I had to choose between watching back to back episodes of first Ellen, then immediately The View, versus a single bite of PR’s food, I would accept my two hours of estrogen-filled fate before putting another bite of PR food in my mouth ever again. PR’s is nothing more than a niche for nearby trust fund babies to call their Taco Tuesday water’n hole, for nothing more than only to be able to refer to it as a fond memory when they get older — for the sake only of having a memory of which to refer. As if purposely wearing pink polos wasn’t enough reason to shame yourselves… but I digress. So, unless filthy conditions, disgusting beer(clean your damn lines!), cold tacos, and horrible location with even worse parking is your thing, I personally recommend to find elsewhere a spot to enjoy your weekly celebration of the taco.

I just had the worst experience here. The service and food were just fine until at the end of the meal when a rat fell out of the ceiling onto our table and jumped off the table to scurry off to somewhere else in the restaurant. Ick!!! We had just signed our check and bolted for the door. Not a good experience at all!

Been going there for years, went there tonight and was really disappointed! Prices have gone up big time! $ 10 for a quesadilla, $ 10 for a house margarita??? Really? Won’t be back, can get better food, service, cleanliness elsewhere for that price!

My draw to PR’s are the poppers. BESTEVER. As for the rest of the food, I wish it was seasoned more. I expect at least some flair in Mexican food and this was kinda bland. Still I’ll be back for the poppers

Our motorcycle shop is on the fringe of college park and I was honestly super excited for another taco place to open because I was tired of the bland chain style menu, cheesy décor and flat atmosphere inside the Tijuana right across the street. The staff was super nice but the food was blander than bland. The chicken and beef both tasted the same, like plain meat. The taco shells, chips and salsa highly resemble Cisco store bought bulk items and the sour cream had a weird tinge to it. And to make matters worse, it was extremely cold(stiff) and after the second attempt of spreading it on my hardshell tacos and watching them crumble like the Berlin Wall. I gave up. Oh and I asked twice for one beef, one chicken and one pulled pork taco and received two beef and one chicken. And they weren’t busy… That said the staff was again very nice and asked me to please give them another try. So I might. That is, if every other taco joint in a 15 mile radius of our shop gets shutdown for health code violations. Or wait, never mind I’d still take the risk… So long PR.

Local taco shop. Pretty standard tex-mex fare. They seem to specialize in «Fundito’s» basically fried burritos. Portions are a decent size but not huge.

I had seen this place for many years. It looks pretty cool from the outside and the inside. However that is about it. I will never go there again the food is horrible. I love Mexican food and that was not even edible. Who puts tomatoes sauce on top of rice with bits of corn. I was so disappointed.

Atmosphere was great, we ate and saw the sunrail and other trains pass as we ate. Our table was perfectly placed to see the trains and that was an experience in itself. The food was decent in taste, the rice was a little hard but still ate it. I got Queso cheese on my chicken burrito and about 25mins later I was running to the bathroom with bad bad situations. And again ever 15 mins I hit the porcelain cruise. I am not 100% sure it was the food or Queso cheese but it’s very possible and mostly a miserable experience. I probably will never eat here again and only wanted to write this review to warn you. Please enjoy your visit to PR and I hope you do not get sick. Thanks

Like other reviewers, I wanted to like this place. Our server was a doll. The food was nothing, and I mean nothing, to write home about. I had the pollo fundido which was tasty in the way that Kraft mac & Cheese out of the box is tasty once in a while. It’s not real macaroni & cheese but just once in a great while, it hits the spot. The fundido was covered in velveeta cheese(yes, really) and was bland, dull, and uninspired with a skimpy side of rice.(My friends who ordered tacos didn’t even get the option of a side!) It was edible yet bland… and nothing I would go back for. I get such a chuckle out of people calling this«Tex Mex» All I can say is that anyone who thinks PRs passes for Tex Mex must have never really had it. The kicker, and reason for only one star, was the $ 10HOUSEMARGARITA!!! Yep, I kid you not. $ 10 for a bland, sour mix, heartburn inducing house margarita(nothing top shelf, or even middle shelf). THAT is what I call A RIPOFF! Sorry, no amount of kitschy graffiti on the walls and rest rooms that look like they were destroyed in a bar fight can atone for the outrageous price of their subpar drinks. The next day we margaritas at another bar that tasted about the same but were $ 3.00! Meh food and beyond overpriced drinks… I don’t know how this sad place stays in business… but I won’t be getting any more of my money. BTW, did I mention that the first round of chips and salsa is free but after that it’s a $ 1.00. Go enjoy that with you $ 10 margarita.

Fun and casual! PR’s is a great place to have a good meal for a cheap fare and get away from Winter Park proper. I have had the taco salad a good number of times and it’s good enough that I order it most times I go. However, my favorite item is the wings; which seems strange since it’s a taco joint but they are delish! One of the bartenders recommended we get them double dipped one time and that was a great tip! I normally bring friends or family while they are in town for a margarita and a lunch bite.

Food is okay. Bar service horrendous. If Sherrri is at the Bar, get a table. Owner obliviously spent an hour chatting with friends at bar while patrons were disappointed around him. No rice and beans with a burrito. Really. Any success this place has seems in spite of itself or maybe because of a younger wait staff. We wanted to like this place and come back often. Not likely.

Best place to go for good Mexican food, excellent beer and fabulous service. Parking is tight, but it’s worth parking and walking a bit. Loved the fish tacos! Shared the guacamole– to die for. It was busy– every table full, but my glass was never empty. Can’t wait to eat the leftover fajitas!!! Go and enjoy!

There was nothing extraordinary about this experience: the server wasn’t particularly friendly or particularly rude, none of the food was a must have, but it was a fine place for a one time stop. We had sweet tea and a swirl margarita(margarita swirled with sangria) and we’re both very happy with those drinks. Sweet tea isn’t too sweet and the 20oz swirl was perfect for a nice buzz. For appetizers we tried the jalapeño poppers and queso. Queso was a mistake cuz the poppers came with a side of queso for dipping I guess and my entrée also was drenched in the same queso. I had the lunch portion shredded beef fundido which is good and exactly how explained on the menu. My date got the ground beef burrito and the beef was flavorful and good. Spent $ 42 total on two appetizers, two entrees, and two drinks so not bad, but not worth returning with some of the other choices nearby in winter park.

Eh… was okay. From the divey look of the place I was really expecting something special. The dirtier and weirder the building, the better when it comes to tex-mex. I had fajitas with blackened chicken and shrimp. The shrimp was pretty good. The blackened seasoning was a bit too salty. The veggies were almost nonexistent and super brown and burnt. Id rather have 2 for $ 20 fajitas at chilies any day of the week!

So I will begin this with stating that my standards for mexican food are pretty high(I lived in Arizona for a long time with easy access to authentic and amazing mexican food). The grungy environment is fun and interesting but there is a line between being grungy on purpose and just being dirty. When we got our food we both agreed that the food«wasn’t bad» but it wasn’t that good either it was just okay. I had high hopes since I had some friends rave about this place but I don’t plan on coming back.

My all time favourite«dive bar» in Central Florida. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is due to the bathrooms. Ladies, you better have strong quads!!! Best ambiance, great quality food, all fresh ingredients, cooked to order. You must try their Queso with Chorizo as an appetizer. The Fundito is a must try, at least once, more than that, and you’ll need to glue yourself to the treadmill.

It really pains me to write a bad review. But I have had enough of trying to give this place a chance. Fun atmosphere? Sure. There is writing on the walls, low lighting, and feels like your cool uncle’s party garage. But the food is just SO disappointing. Food quality is very low. I have tried multiple dishes and the flavor is just not there. Awful burnt beans, bland cheese, plain dry chicken – you get the idea. Queso is orangey colored and very over priced for the serving size you get. For three people to eat and drink modestly it was a lot more money than I expected when I got my bill. Dishes that would normally cost around $ 7/$ 8 anywhere else cost about $ 10/$ 11 here but are lower quality. Which brings me to my next point of sadness – cheap mediocre food is one thing but expensive and tasteless is inexcusable. I’d like to say I will come back for a drink sometime and just skip the food but where is the fun in that? Plus a few margs on a normal day will cost you a pretty penny.

I know this place is a Winter Park staple, but my food was mediocre at best. I got a Taco Burrito that was covered in a red mystery sauce which soaked everything in its path. Any sort of vegetable, even lettuce, barely made it into this soggy wad of tortilla and cheese. The meat was bland and the I felt like I had just ingested a bucket of grease. To no surprise I felt sick before we made it home which was a short 5 minute ride, and upon getting home my body immediately rejected what I had just ate, if you know what I mean. I was excited to hear they were opening a location near me in College Park, but now i would be very afraid for my bowels to eat there again. If I ever go again I will stick with the free chips and salsa and a margarita.
