Decided to stop by after reading some reviews on Unilocal.Place was very clean and the lady who took my order was friendly. It’s a mexican market and the«restaurant» is within. I placed my order to go with the lady at the counter. I ordered the following tacos to go; AL pastor — marinated pork and by far my favorite. I love all pastor and this arguably one of the best I’ve had. Carnitas– not the best in my opinion. They were slightly bland I’m my opinion. The squeeze of lemon and the hot sauce helped but out of the 3, this was my least favorite. Asada– good carne asada, perfect with the lime. All tacos come dressed with cilantro and fresh white onions. They come with plenty of limes, radishes and pickled carrots which were delicious. Taco prices range from $ 1.49 — $ 2.25 depending on the meat you pick. I bought 9 tacos and a drink and spent $ 16.00 Good little spot that I will definitely visit again.

Truly authentic Mexican deliciousness! Nice cold beer and awesome tacos, enchiladas and sope! The chips are fresh and cripsy and the salsas are homemade and tasty. Definitely a great experience.

In a search for great tacos in Orlando, I happened to make my way into La Hacienda where Unilocalers have apparently been leaving great reviews for. Having been to Houston and LA to experience some awesome Mexican food, I have been quite disappointed by some of the more common yet popular names in Orlando. Don’t get me wrong, those places have good food, but they are either missing the mark with the real deal or they come at a higher price(not to mention not having tongue as a protein option. Try it. You won’t regret it). So despite my lack of a Spanish tongue, I found my way to the left side of this market where I took a seat and waited to be tended to. Being lunch, I needed to be in and out and told the waitress I was here for take out. Soon I was greeted by the cashier from the front, who told me she would take my order. I was actually afraid that I would have a hard time speaking to them, but her English was perfect.(Make no mistake, I still need to learn Spanish and can’t wait to one day order in Spanish) I ordered 4 tacos, priced conveniently at 1.59 each, two steak, one tongue, and one chorizo. I threw in a manzana(its an apple soda, delicious. Try it) and my total was around 8. I got to try it with both of their sauces, red and green. I believe the green is the spicier sauce, both go really well with all of the tacos except the chorizo which is pretty good on its own. The steak was perfect and the tongue was tender and moist. For me, 4 might have been a bit too much for lunch but with the taco cravings i couldn’t help it. If you’re a light-medium eater then 3 should suffice. My only complaint is that I wish I could stop by here on my late night adventures but that’s not really their problem. If you’ve been in search for a good taqueria, breakfast, lunch, or dinner, La Hacienda fits the bill perfectly. I will be back to try the other foods and update my review.

AMAZING tacos! I love authentic Mexican food, and a small dining area in the back of a Mexican grocery is about as authentic as it gets in Orlando. My husband and I popped in for a quick lunch, picking this place on Unilocal reviews, and although sketchy looking, it did not disappoint. Our waitress did not speak English, and service was a little slow, but the food was awesome. I ordered tacos, and they were perfect – juicy, spicy, and didn’t fall apart. My husband ordered the sampler platter, and everything on his dish was delicious. Best part? The price. Our meal was incredibly cheap for all the food we enjoyed.

Food is great, prices are amazing, I enjoyed everything I ate and I had the sampler so it was a good mix of nachos, quesadillas and another thing that I don’t remember. I will say we scared our waitress away when we told her we don’t speak spanish, which was odd because I we were trying to order a quesadilla at the time and she didn’t know what we were saying. The lady behind the counter on the store side came out and fixed the whole thing but I just still can’t figure out the issue about ordering a quesadilla. Regardless, I will be back, it’s one of the few authentic tasting Mexican places I have found in Orlando and again the prices are awesome along with the food.

Deliciously made tacos al pastor, carne asada o de lengua and they are not cheap with the portions. I normally make two tacos from one since each taco comes with two tortillas. The corn tortillas are freshly made at the restaurant. The tacos are $ 1.59 each and they are loaded! Best authentic place in town. This is like a mom and pops restaurant very humble but great food!

Not fancy by any means but the food is fantastic and cheap. I’ve been to Mexico twice and from what I have experienced, this is as authentic as eating carcass, sand, and tree branches in North Korea! Word to the wise, pay with cash. If you pay with a card, I would imagine your bank will be calling you couple of days later asking why you spent 200 pesos on a donkey show in Tijuana.

This is the best place to get Agua Fresca(fresh fruit juice) in the area! They taste so fresh and have at least 3 different ones everyday. The little restaurant inside serves good authentic Mexican food. Expect to wait for your food awhile if there are a lot of seated customers. The grocery store has a good selection of Hispanic food necessities. The owner and staff are very friendly.

Great food, pleasant service. Though the location isn’t much to speak of, the taqueria serves delicious food. Yummy tacos, tasty carnitas, fresh with a mild kick guacamole, and amazing tortilla chips. Attentive service and fair prices. The grocery store looks well stocked if you want to try your hand cooking authentic mexican at home. Always looking for a good ‘hole in the wall’ authentic Mexican restaurant… and this is pretty close. Casual(not super dumpy) and good food.

I totally dig this place! I believe in the power of authenticity when it comes to Mexican food, and this place hits the mark. This market located in a strip mall may not look like much from the outside, but step inside and half of the business is a quaint little taqueria(taco shop) that serves up some of the best taco I’ve had in the area. This place is casual, seat yourself. The server was super sweet and attentive. Food was great. Very fairly priced. We even got complimentary tortilla chips and salsa.

I’m obsessed with this Mexican restaurant, especially their enchiladas. The food tastes really fresh and everyone is always friendly. The ambiance is very casual, as is expected of a place located inside a grocery. Their spicy salsa is awesome and I haven’t had anything I didn’t like yet. Great for take-out too

El sitio esta limpio, el servicio es bueno, las porciones son grandes, los precios bajitos y el sabor de la comida es muy bueno. Que mas se puede pedir?

I was born and raised in Mexico City and can tell you that this place is pretty good. Great tacos al pastor, great flautas(roll, fried tacos)! The red salsa was delicious. Don’t be shy and get some stakes from the market side. If you like carne asada, get the«cecina» to grill. Take it home, marinate it with lime, salt, pepper and a splash of olive oil. The cut is super thin and lean, so all it needs is about 1 min per side and is ready to go. Remember to buy the fresh, warm tortillas. They have them by the counter.

This is a small Mexican grocery store/taqueria. In the back you can order a quick cheap meal. I’ve only gotten the street tacos here. For $ 1.50 each you can’t beat the quality and price. Comes with onions, cilantro, lime slices, and hot sauce. The food here is very authentic and muy bueno!

Fresh Tortillas! Walk in, look to your left, and directly in front of the register is a hefty travel cooler filled with some of the best fresh tortillas around. Kept warm in that huge cooler/warmer, these homemade corn tortillas are so perfectly warm and pliable you’ll eat half a dozen right there in the parking lot, guaranteed. Don’t be put off by the quantity; they’re sold in 2 lb. packages for $ 2.00 which makes them ideal for a crowd but they also keep in the fridge for a few days. We plan days of meals around them; steak or black bean tacos, mushroom quesadillas, stuff ‘em with scrambled eggs and hot sauce… La Hacienda has a small dining area in the back and also sells a nice selection of produce, meats, chiles and Mexican cheeses.

I was looking for chicharrón and they’ve got it here. The food in the taqueria smelled fantastic but I’ve gone no carb so I’ll have to taste test another day. The meats all looked fresh as did the produce. Limes were 8/$ 1 but were like $ 0.60 at Publix the day before so the prices are very good. I would highly recommend shopping here for all your Latin ingredients and pick up some chicharrón, the stuff is amazing.

This is a small grocery store with a decent selection of quality produce but the cool part of it is they have a little Mexican restaurant in the back. Even though they have a lot of things on their menu they often don’t have everything in stock so just stick with the soft tacos. The tacos, tostada and torta(mexican sandwich) I had were all tasty, meat was tender and yum. They had a lot of more questionable looking stuff in the hot display case but don’t let that scare you. Have a Horchata or Fruit drink with your meal. there are only 4 tables in here and 3 stools at the bar so if you come at lunch you will likely not find much space and be the only gringo around. The lady who works there is sweet but overworked so it may take her a bit to get to you, her english is barely passable but she understood everybody just make sure you clarify she understands if you order anything out of the ordinary or have any special requests. If you crave a desert try some of the pastries or paletas(fruit ice cream bars) from up front. Aye Carumba!

I’m sure there are many good reasons to come here, but here is mine: warm, fresh tortillas in the cooler by the cash register. Wrapped in paper. I think you get something like 50 of them for $ 2. They make me very happy.

I have been looking all over Orlando for tacos al pastor and the previous Unilocal review finally led me here. I have tried several Mexican restaurants in town and nothing compared with the al pastor I found at La Hacienda. The meat was juicy, seasoned to perfection, and the hot sauce on the side was fantastic! This taqueria is loacted in the back of the marrket and they have a fairly extensive menu of authentic mexican food. It strikes me as more of a place to grab a quick bite to go, however, they do have a few booths and a bar with a couple of stools to sit. The best part for me was that several Hispanic people were ordering food there. As best I could tell, most of them were Mexican. I was the only Gringo in sight so I knew I had struck a home run for good food!

La Hacienda is my favorite place in the neighborhood to stop for some quick tacos. It’s primarily a market full of Mexican products including authentic Mexican candy. In the back, however, is a wonderful taqueria that not only makes home run tacos, but out-of-the-park quesadillas, tortas, burritos, and even breakfast. The tacos al pastor are very juicy. Make sure to get them with cilantro and onion and be generous with your lime distribution. They don’t come from the traditional Mexican spit but are very delicious nonetheless. I also love the quesadillas. I like that the carnitas in the quesadilla are quality meat and not dripping with grease. The price is great. $ 4 gets you a thick quesadilla with a heaping helping of Spanish rice and refried beans. They also give you some quacamole and hot sauce on the side. It’s really a perfect lunch meal: cheap, quick, delicious, and not greasy. I probably will stop one day to shop also, but it hasn’t come up yet. Check out the pastries in the front, the Mexican breads, and the candies too.
