Excellent service from Daniel the waiter! I highly recommend the Pork Belly Carbonara– it’s melt in your mouth!

We really enjoyed our meal. We enjoyed the personalized service and attention from the general manager. We ordered salmon and gnocchi and pan seared scallops with risotto. The food was beautifully presented and cooked to perfection!

How can this place be rated #1 for Winter Park? Maybe it was an off night? None of the oil lamps on the tables were lit and our table’s oil jar was empty. It was 6:30PM and they were open since 4:00PM? I had to ask the not-very-busy staff to light them. We sampled the small plate of fried artichoke hearts and were repulsed by the dripping oil coating each piece and also by the puddle in the bottom of our dish. The plate itself was tasteless but the aioli dipping sauce was good. We did not finish it. Being cautious, we ordered one arugula salad with Parmesan cheese blades and shared it between us which turned out good because it was enormous. That was probably the best dish. Our appetites were not excited by the small menu offerings but we ordered one entrée of the pork belly carbonara to share thinking it’ll be a healthy portion for two people to share based on the salad portion. Boy were we wrong. For $ 24.00 we were served a small pile of overcooked linguine noodles in a creamy sauce with peas and little nibs of inedible pork fat. Centered atop this pile was a 1″ square of pork belly with char marks. I tried to cut it in half thinking it was tender. It wasn’t. After sawing through it, I gave it a little sample and found it to be like a very fatty, overcooked piece of chewy pork chop. I spat it out as did my husband. The noodles were not al dente and resembled something out of a Golden Corral buffet. So disappointed! Nowhere was the smoky flavor of bacon(or pancetta) which is quintessential to anybody making carbonara! No eggs and no salt & pepper and no bacon. Epic fail. We do NOT recommend.

Excellent. We ordered a fried artichoke. It’s delicious. The lamb pasta with tomato base is excellent. The scallop risotto is on the creamy side, but really good. Definitely a good bet.

We were very pleasantly surprised by La Colina! Honestly didn’t have high expectations for a little Italian place in the lobby of the Iron Horse Lodge, but we all enjoyed our meal. Clear winner was the pork belly pasta, followed by the lamb bolognese. Wine selection is limited but very reasonably priced. We’d definitely come back.

We chose this because we wanted to stay local AND the bus ran there. We didn’t want ski area bar food and they did not disappoint. Way better than I thought Chef came to table to see how meal was and we chatted for 10 minutes.(Or more) Staff was helpful and friendly. Clearly they want to be in this business and they don’t take customers for granted. We WILL be back AND We will bring friends

Cozy italian restaurant quiet at 6pm on a Tues night. We ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, both house made and tasted like it! The sausage was a little salty and the tomatoes in the sauce were overpowering with fruitiness. Although it was a taste explosion preventing me from eating too quickly, had to admire the freshness. The gnocchi is not housemade, but still fresh and delicious. The pizzas are a substantial rectangular size, good for sharing. The margherita and meat versions both did not disappoint. The service was great too.

I walked in the the La Collina to be welcomed by the manager«Mahlal» enjoy a cocktail and was recommended an appetizer, wine and dinner. The fried calamari was so tender top shelf, yes! I was served caesar sallied very good and to finish a linguine with clam sauce, to die for. The Gavi was the wine to end all. Five Star no question. Had a special buffet for late arrival. Wow 5 star Montana Bill

Great, great food and even better service. If the manager is there, let her pick your wine. I had the meatballs with risotto. It was fantastic. Very low key place with great service and wonderful staff. For dessert: the cheesecake with a sauce that includes black pepper. These people know and love food & wine. I look forward to returning and bringing friends so they can experience this wonderful place. Easy to access. Located at Iron Horse resort, 2 min drive from Winter Park resort. Well worth a try and then a couple repeats. Guaranteed to become your favorite as it did mine.

Saw the other reviews so I thought I would give it a try. In two words, «freakin delicious.» The pasta is home made and their happy hour is very reasonable. I ordered pasta carbonara off he menu and it was very good. Good wine menu as well. The staff is very friendly. I will be coming back… probably tomorrow.

Cannot brag enough on the staff here. Amazing service and even better hospitality. The food was by far better than any other option we have had while visiting. Spent NYE with a group and so thankful we chose this spot for dinner.

Our group of 8 had an absolute blast having drinks and a delicious dinner for NYE! Service was amazing and our group was more than pleased with our choice to have dinner here on our vacation! If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would!

This place is great! They even accommodated our gluten free diner. The service was spot on — not checking too often but still attentive. The children’s menu meatballs and pasta was enough to provide leftovers. The gnocchi was light and creamy. We finished with cannoli that were mouth watering. Gluten free choices included the pasta carbonara and pasta bolognese.

Really nice Italian meal that’s super convenient if your staying at the Iron Horse condos. We went in around 7 on a Tuesday night and were seated immediately. They have a nice selection of wines, including a couple of Italians that we tried and liked. My son had the Caesar salad and I had the house salad(can’t recall the exact name). Both were fairly large and very good. My son had the filet mignon with blue cheese sauce. He said it was very good. He ordered it medium rare but it looked more on the rare side to me. My wife had the special — sautéed scallops with spinach and orange basil risotto. The dish was excellent and the risotto was particularly outstanding. I had the pasta bolognese. They make their own pasta, which was very good. The bolognese sauce was good but not amazing, unfortunately paled next to the other excellent entrees. The service was good, not particularly friendly but satisfactory. The restaurant itself is nice, cozy with nice views, if not fancy. All in all, a very nice meal. We’ll come back.

Absolutely the best Italian food in the valley! A true hidden gem. House made pasta is to die for! I got the pasta special for the night; salmon with perfectly crispy skin over a bed of fresh pasta dressed in vodka sauce. Just absolutely delicious! The shrimp bruschetta appetizer was scrumptious. At one point I thought my husband was going to pick up the dish and drink the broth. it was really that good. Locals, visitors, all food lovers– this place is a MUST try! Mmm I want to go back tomorrow.

Nice to have another option at the base of Winter Park. Food was good, location at Iron Horse is a plus. Actual space felt a bit like a cafeteria. They’d benefit from table clothes and better lighting.

Wonderful food! A hidden little gem. I was a little apprehensive since there weren’t many reviews. I’m glad I went. The steak was cooked to perfection. The wine pairings were spot on. Every item I had was good. The waiter was friendly and attentive. You would not know that a great restaurant like this was hidden inside this resort.
