We’ve been enjoying food here since the early 80’s. Today was an experience that was unexpected and not necessary. Our waitress was intoxicated. She was doing shots with customers. The floor manager was aware and did nothing about it. He let her continue to work. When I approached him for our check he said he said she was having a bad day and he was going to let her finish her shift. There is no reason in the world a drunk server should be allowed to work at Deno’s. Too many other good places to eat in Winter Park to tolerate such service. Adiós to you and Brickhouse 40.

Best place to eat in Winter Park! We had the pleasure of eating the rigatoni, the caprese with ricotta stuffed mozzerlla, lamb sliders, Greek sampler appetizer, and the chicken saltimbocca. Everything was prepared perfectly, we visited twice during our week in Winter Park. The staff was attentive and the wait for the food was short. The locals eat here-nuff said.

Trout was baked perfectly. Grilled asparagus had the right amount of charred sides. Potatoes were crisp on one side and soft on the other. Yummy! Definitely recommend this place for dinner!

Delightful. Bread to die for. Medallion filet tips were wonderful. Ryan our server is the high energy red headed ball of courtesy. Enjoyed the fondue with grilled homemade bread. Filet tips entrée. Wife got a big honkin chicken sandwich that she loved. Quirky little location and good value for the money. No regrets with denos.

Very casual atmosphere merrier up with a hugely impressive wine list. Ryan was absolutely the most impressive waiter we have ever had! He was knowledgable, professional and had an infectious personality. The food is always great; however, as a connoisseur of quality meat, their steaks leave something to be desired. If you are charging over $ 35 for a filet or ribeye, the meat better be Choice + if not Prime… merely advertising Angus doesn’t cut the mustard. I will say they always cook their entrees to perfection. Medium is actually a bit of pink in the middle. Impressive! If you are looking for an amazing appetizer, the Gorgonzola fondue hits the spot(not too overpowering as gorg can sometimes be). A must stop in Winter Park!

We really liked this place!!! It’s not fancy in décor but the food is great! I thought it was pricey until I saw my portion. HUGE! could have split it. I got the pork dish with capers and lemon. Truly great. 2 large chops that were very tender. My husband got the lamb shank special. Very tender– no left overs! BUT the mussels appetizer ARE A MUST. So so so good. Almost ordered it again. And their homemade bread is just amazing especially dipped in the juice in the bottom. Mmmmmmm. Will def go back.

Amazing food, reasonable price and kid friendly. My daughter had the kids pizza and my son ate the ½lb Angus burger. Both kids cleaned their plates which is hard to do with picky eaters. My wife and I started with the Bistro salad. Tons of cranberries, walnuts and field greens with an apple vinaigrette dressing. Delicious! My meal was the Rustica, NY Tips with a side of shredded brussel sprouts. The steak was a pefect medium rare. My wife had the chicken sandwich w/avocado and loved it. The dressing is a tad spicy. Deno’s gets busy after a day of playing in the snow, so hurry over. Great food, you can’t go wrong.

Great meal in a sports bar/restaurant! The place is casual and the service was solid. The menu had a range of offerings from appetizers to Pub food to very nice entrees. I enjoyed all the TVs as well.(It was March Madness)

I’ve been wanting to try Deno’s for years and I finally got to on a recent trip to Winter Park. We were trying to decide where or what to eat on a Saturday night around 5. We all agreed Deno’s looked like a place to try. I checked to see if there any reservations available and sure enough, a 7:15 reservation for 7 people was ours! I’m so glad I was able to get the reservation because when we arrived I heard the wait was over an hour. We were promptly seated upon arrival, which is always a plus. We ordered a variety of drinks which included a bottle of wine, cocktails and beer. We started with the calamari, filet tips and tuna poke. Everyone raved about the filet tips. They had great flavor. We had several entrees at the table– salmon, trout, pasta, lamb, steak and salad. The trout had a red apple glaze that I thought was interesting. We all enjoyed our choices and we ate to the point where we could not eat anymore. Our server was friendly and attentive. They were very busy and I don’t think the service suffered. Overall, we had a great time and I will definitely return the next time I’m in town.

Stopped by here for dinner the other night, we decided to eat tapas style and ordered a bunch of different small items. Things started off on the wrong foot when I slid into something wet on the seat in the booth. I had to mop up something brown and nasty from my seat, and when I informed the waiter all I got was a blank stare. No offer to help clean it up or bring extra napkins. Service was hit or miss — The waiter was trying to be attentive but was possibly overworked or too busy. My water glass sat empty for half the meal. We were not asked how the food was after it was brought out. I tried: — Bread basket — oddly enough this was one of the highlights of the meal. The bread was delicious. — Pepper Blue Filet Tips — also delicious, small bites of medium rare cooked steak and blue cheese. — French onion soup. Completely lackluster, used cheap croutons instead of a slice of bread. Plain and not flavorful. — Bistro Salad — I’ve *never* complained about bacon, but somehow the bacon they used completely overpowered this salad. It was also swimming in dressing. — House made Burrata — Tasted off. The Burrata was firm and not soft and creamy like fresh burrata should be. — Sweet & Sour Calamari — Gross. Too tough breading, overcooked calamari, a dry dish with a drizzle of sweet and sour sauce. We mentioned it was overcooked to the waiter, and he took it away in a huff. Thankfully it was removed from our bill at the end. — Greek and Lamb Sliders — Just OK. They were smothered in a really pungent feta cheese sauce that overpowered the lamb. — Greek table platter — Just OK. The store bought pita was lackluster. — Lemon Raspberry Cake — This was pretty tasty, and the generous portion of homemade whipped cream was a treat. The only two dishes I actually enjoyed were the bread and the steak. If you just want steak, maybe give this place a chance. Otherwise, this place was overpriced and the food was meh. There are better places to eat in Winter Park. Personally, I’d skip this one.

I just took my girlfriend to this place for dinner on Valentines Day and it blew my prior expectations out of the water. The food was tasty, perfectly cooked, and the service was as good as it gets. If you’re looking to come out of the restaurant under $ 40, it’s perfectly possible, but not ideal for two hungry people. The atmosphere was probably why my check was so high– it was not too loud, it was dimly lit, and it was a very intimate atmosphere even though there were people three feet away from me-but the food was definitely a part of it. I highly recommend Deno’s. At the end of the night, the hostess gave my girlfriend a red rose– I did not plan this, but it just goes to show how involved the costumer service is here.

Forget apres ski at the base of Winter Park Resort. Hop on the shuttle bus and make your way to Denos! Hands down this is the best place for happy hour in Winter Park! They have a full happy hour menu and awesome drink specials. Skiing is an expensive sport to begin with, I’m always looking for ways to make it a little more affordable; Denos fits the bill. Throw in a super-friendly wait staff and even friendlier locals and you will never want to have an overpriced beer on the mountain again!

Great bar, lousy bartender. There were five of us and everyone raves about heir entrees. The salmon with risotto was amazing. The mussels were perfect. The beet salad was unique and excellent. Highly recommend this place… good luck getting a drink in the bar though…

My husband and I like Deno’s and we’ve been twice in December. We took a client here for dinner. He ordered the Ahi and I was a little worried about his choice. It was amazing and he was thrilled. This guy dines at Michelin star restaurants and is a total foodie. Normally we order a glass of wine so we have never looked at the full wine list before. Wow– it’s enormous. The client said I haven’t seen so many french wines since I dined at the blah blah Michelin French restaurant somewhere in England. He became giddy and just looked at all the wines. They even have a $ 4k bottle. He loves California reds and can’t get them in England much so we ordered one of our favorites a Justin Isosceles Reserve. I had no idea Deno’s that you had such an incredible distinguished wine list. Normally I just order a glass of red and the wine list by the glass is awesome too. My husband and I both ordered the Medallions Rustica for dinner and it’s a nice dish. Last week I sat at the bar and ordered my favorite lamb sliders and french fries. The best part of Deno’s is you can order more upscale or just have a burger or a pizza. It truly is a locals hang out and when you live up here you always see someone you know. The happy hour rocks from 3 – 6!!!

Deno’s Mountain Bistro is the epitome of a ski town restaurant. Dark, warm, and cozy atmosphere coupled with good food and an excellent Happy Hour. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and were delighted that our stop coincided with happy hour. The wines by the glass hold extraordinary vintages like the Duckhorn Decoy. The burgers were perfectly cooked. I have not enjoyed a medium rare burger more. My MIL enjoyed the hefty beet salad and the hubs and my FIL got those perfectly cooked, savory burgers. I was a bit disappointed in the French Onion Soup as it was more akin to black peppery garlic soup. Too much spice for French Onion. I will be back and I recommend Deno’s.

We had a few locals tell us that Deno’s has some of the best food in the mountains while we were visiting the area recently. They were right. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and they have a killer drink menu. Most of us split a bunch of appetizers, but the entrees that were ordered(pork chops) were given rave reviews. Our server was attentive and made sure that we were happy with our items. So why 3 stars? There was no soap in the women’s restroom and when my dining companion complained about it they advised they would get it taken care of. Another dining companion went to use the restroom 30 minutes later and there was still no soap and quite a mess(that I will not go into detail on). No soap in a bathroom really just scares me at a restaurant. So all in all, the food was great and I had a lot of fun here. The bathroom was just a bit off putting.
