I think I have made the charred chicken my «usual» here, it is absolutely delicious! Very smoky, and very flavorful. I cannot say enough good things about it, and I would definitely recommend it. For my three sides, I’ve always gone with french fries, mac ‘n cheese, and mashed potatoes. All very, very delicious. The fries are very thick and just the right amount of crispy, and the mac ‘n cheese is very milky and creamy. Also, their bbq sauce is really good. In conclusion, yes, the food is great. Service has always been satisfactory — food is out quickly, servers are friendly, everything is on time and in order. No complaints there. The ambience is pretty casual and relaxed, typical bbq place stuff. I’ve made it my usual go-to for lunch on Saturday because of this. Pricing is very reasonable, specially for the amount of food you get(it’s a LOT, I usually get two meals out of it.) I would definitely recommend Keller’s.

Not sure what all the grousing about ‘the old Keller’s” is all about. I’ve been here about half a dozen times and have yet to be disappointed. I always get the same thing: ¼ chicken white. It’s consistently moist and smokey. I like that they let you pick three sides with a platter. Saves me a lot of agony deciding! They are very generous with the fries and garlic bread. The hot BBQ sauce will light you up. I cut it with the regular stuff. There’s a mustard sauce too if that’s your fancy. The help has always been friendly and attentive. What’s not to like? =]

Good cue, not the best, but they also take part in a few pseudo-Q trends like Krinkle-cut fries and garlic toast in place of potato salad and plain white bread which is traditional cue fare, slotting them unfortunately with the likes of Sonny’s and Bubba Lou’s. Unlike those places this one has true roots from what I’ve heard and the food says they care. They should respect tradition to make a mark, not follow suit with other knock-offs. As it is, this one could go either way. Link sandwich was good. Slaw was fresh, but okra was frozen. 6−21−11

What we’ve always known about Keller’s is that the BBQ is amazing. However, what’s been in flux with the Winter Park location is the ownership and the service. Not any more… Three guys who know how to run a kitchen and create a top-notch customer service experience have taken what we love about Keller’s(ribs, pulled pork, Mac n’ Cheese, sweet tea, etc., etc.) and made this location a realized BBQ destination. We are there last week at the grand opening and, even with a gigantic crowd, the staff couldn’t have been kinder and they worked really hard to make sure we enjoyed our food AND the experience. Keller’s in Winter Park is back! Enjoy.

They have succumbed to their suckiness and have closed shop at this location. Perhaps the food and service quality are better at the other restaurants away from UCF and run by more competent people. So if you want ‘que go to Four Rivers and if you want to stay in the plaza, go to he sheng.

On entering Keller’s we were greeted by a friendly staff and the sweet smell of quality BBQ. Add to this picture some faux cow-hide table clothes and an expansive Florida-themed mural complete with a swamp shack and gator and you’re ready for the Keller’s experience. We ordered the beef plate with 3 sides. Keller’s offers a slightly smoky, thinly-sliced roast beef(vs. brisket). The meat was very tender and cooked to a nice medium. The macaroni and cheese was basic goodness: creamy and cheesy, and the gussied up canned green beans(essential for BBQ joints) had a good smoky pork flavor. The BBQ beans were a little too sweet for our taste on our first visit, but less so the second time around. ike the beef plate, the Pulled Pork Sandwich had a generous serving of meat, was incredibly tender and slightly smoky. The oddly tiny side of coleslaw was crunchy but disappointingly bland. During our most recent visit we ordered the Smoked Turkey Plate. We were excited about trying the turkey, and the smoky flavor of Keller’s really shined through. The style was a little different than the smoked turkey we’re accustomed to: the meat was sliced deli thin and grilled. We look forward to trying it on a sandwich. Lest we forget the sauce. We enjoyed the richness and slight heat of both the original and hot BBQ sauces. Beef Plate — $ 12.99 Smoked Turkey Plate — $ 12.99 Bar-B-Q Sandwich — $ 3.99

I have been a vegetarian for about 3 years now, but I have dined at Keller’s before and after. I have to say, they do a great job at BBQ and sides. They used to have penny beers, then it went to $.10 a beer. But still, that is a pretty great value. Try and hit this place on a nice day, and sit outside. They have great servers, and pretty good prices. The green beans are where it’s at lol.

Oh man, this is not the Keller’s I remember. Not sure if it has changed ownership or not but I went with Frank L and things were surely different. My favorite dish at Kellers had been the sliced pork lunch. The meat was always tasty and plentiful. This time I received about 6 slices of pork and I would guess about 50% of each slice was fat. I was not happy. I was even more upset that I had pushed us to come here in the first place. It will be awhile before I come back.

What happened to the old Keller’s?! I have to admit it has been about 6 months since I last visited Keller’s, and boy has it changed. The inside is a little different, but worse, so is the food. I used to always get the Quick Q lunch, typically beef or turkey, but I decided to try something new based on Ricky L’s review(the sloppy pork) All I can say is do not get this! It is fatty and touch and sloppy in a bad way. OK, what is sloppy in a good way… Now for the good… the corn nuggets and hush puppies are still delicious. With so many BBQ places opening in the Orlando area, they really need to step up there game. This is nowhere near 4 Rivers, not even Bubbaloos. Sadly, I will not be back.

We had the BBQ sampler and this rating is for the ribs alone. The pulled pork(go to babalou’s) and beef(go to 4 river’s) were edible but two to three stars on their own. This is the first BBQ place I have ever been to where the sauce was not needed! The service was crap and I think 19 year olds are running the place unsupervised, which is kind of terrifying. but man those ribs were perfect!

What happened?! From the looks of it I’d say they changed management. There are no more signs advertising their beer specials which were a big draw for the college crowd, the music has gone from good ol’ classic rock to that sad country stuff that makes you wanna cry, the service is no longer bubbly and friendly it’s depressed and timid and the portions have shrunk(I’m talkin where’s the beef here folks) exponentially where the prices have risen. Twice since they changed hands I’ve dined and been disappointed. I hate to say it but I don’t think I’m going back. Not to mention they have an almost rude note posted on the door about not accepting certificates. The kind of thing you read and think«Geeze, really?». Just not a good value anymore and the ambiance is depressing.

The sweet corn fritters, dusted with powdered sugar and dunked in honey were the best thing about this bbq joint. I’m glad I finally realized it existed. For more:

I had the sloppy pork sandwich and it was definitely sloppy! It was good, but it wasn’t great. I like a sweeter BBQ sauce and the sauce was a bit tangy for my taste. It is a huge sandwich and the meat was piled on high. Great price for a huge sandwich. The biggest downfall for me was upon taking my very first bite, I pulled a huge bone out of my mouth. I was thankful I didn’t bite directly down on the bone because it was so large I would have certainly broken a tooth and I’m also glad I don’t eat like my husband(or many other men) and just bite and swallow because I would have surely choked! Sorry men, not trying to stereotype — chewing has it’s advantages — just sayin’ :) I then removed the bun and poked through all the meat looking for anymore bones. No more bones, so I ate the rest of my sandwich feeling somewhat safe at that point. I also had a side of baked beans. I only had about 2 bites. Again, didn’t care for the sauce, way too tangy and kinda hot. I’m originally from the deep south, trust me, I know some good baked beans! :)) Got takeout, so didn’t experience the restaurant. But, the staff I encountered were very friendly and just looking around it seemed very clean and well kept. Will I go back? Yes. Will I go back often? No. When I go back will I check every bit of the meat on my sandwich before I take a bite? ABSOLUTELY!

The Sloppy Pork Sandwich(Keller’s rendition of the Sloppy Joe only so much more delicious than your school cafeteria’s sloppys) is a creation of pure porkly pleasures. Its made of slowly smoked, savory and tender barbecue pulled pork in a sweet and tangy sauce all inside of a sesame seed bun. Not only is it absolutely tasty but its also quite a large and filling sandwich, scoring high on the value and happy charts. The sloppy pork sandwich is something I will definitely come back for again! for photos, visit my blog!

Boy, is this place popular for lunch! Our group had the Smoked turkey salad, and the large BBQ beef sandwich. What stands out? Great fries. A person next to us recognized we were Unilocalistas, and recommended the Sampler, which I think is Pork, Beef, and Chicken, for about 14 and change. They also felt that the Green Beans were simply too peppered up. My friend noted that they’ve gone through quite a staffing change recently. This isn’t necessarily a bad or a good thing. Just a thing. Our waitress refilled my drink, but we did have to wait a while before she got back over to our table. For a full lunch crowd, that’s really quite reasonable. And for the dog lovers in the crowd, they DO have outdoor seating. Four round plastic patio setups. Plenty of room for you and the poochies.

Oh hello, fried catfish sandwich. Who would’ve thought I’d pick you over the pulled pork? This is not a dig on the swine by any means; I just really love that fish! Weird, eh? This is one of those rare place you can order anything off the menu and be satisfied. So far, this is hands down the best Orlando bbq joint that I’ve had to pleasure of visiting. They have what appears to be homemade barbecue and tartar sauce, all-you-can-eat deals, and a crazy looking wraparound mural of our lovely swampy state to stare at while you chow down on delicious, meaty goodness.

The food is below average and the service is even worse. When the waitress asked me how everything was I told her the fries weren’t very good, they were over cooked, dried and some where burnt. She brought me some more fries were worse than the original. When I asked if they were suppose to beall dry and burnt, she said«what you don’t like them that way?». i laughed in her face and said you can eat them… Needless to say, I will never go back there ever again!!!

I usually do take out and, as always, get the sloppy pork sandwich(which you can choose the size of your sandwich(small, medium, JUMBO!). The people are usually very friendly and they are good about their time quotes. Their food is affordable and their sweet sauce is amazing! I go there twice a week!

Prices… very affordable considering the amount of food you get. Depending on how hungry you are or how much you eat, there will most likely be enough for a second meal. Quality…not bad. The meat and fixin’s seem pretty fresh and the taste is noteworthy. It’s definitely some good BBQ. Something you should know… Keller’s is one of those places that offers a food challenge. If you eat 2 pounds of pulled pork, a whole plate of fries and like 2 or 3 pieces of garlic bread in 30 minutes you get your meal for free, get your name on a plaque and get a coupon for a free lunch in the future. However, I must warn you that this is A LOT of food. One of my close friends accepted this challenge and succeeded… but felt horrible for the next two days. Service…friendly and quick. The best kind. Overall, it’s okay. I’m not a big barbecue fan, but when I get a craving this place is definitely one of the first to come to mind.
