Cafeteria style but good food. Especially for resort. Reminds me of a small Disney deal. Soups salads burgers etc. Banana bread is good. Meal included with ski lessons. Great seating in and out. We don’t drink so no input there.

Crappy menu items, poor service, way way way over priced. Delivered my andouille & rice yesterday… But without the rice. I asked where the rice was… And after 10 minutes my wife walked to the hostess stand to ask where the rice was and they came back with«we’re out of rice». So it’s just OK to deliver half of the meal and still charge outrageous prices? Whoever is in charge of this place should be fired. You’re on the hill and they know you need food so they take advantage of their clientele. Do yourself a favor and bring a sack lunch until this place gets new mgmt.

A decent place to grab some food and beer for lunch or after skiing. They have a nice patio, which is prime for people watching. Everything is about as expected for a place like this– it’s all just okay. Service is hit or miss. Prices are high, but that’s no surprise for a mountain spot. The chicken in the Mary Jane club was pretty tough and dry. I ended up picking it all out and was left with an expensive BLT. The burgers are usually pretty good, as well as a majority of the appetizers.

An excellent bar indeed! Good beer selection and great food. I had the chicken quesadillas and they blew me away. Service was very friendly and had my food out in no time at all. A great place for Aprés Ski!

When I caught a cold and opted out of skiing for a day while my other half spent the day on the mountain, I hung out at the bar here pretty much all day. Service was accommodating from beginning to end. Even when they would hit peak times. Drinks were reasonable considering most of the bars there were pricey. Tried the Mary Jane Club — eh, the bar food on the mountain really isn’t all that special. So what the hell did I do at the bar all day? The patio is large and the massive windows provide views of the moguls. Most of the day skiers were doing flips and tricks and falls and tumbles down the moguls. Entertaining to watch. And it was closely located to the Gemini lift and ski shop.

Terrible service… Great place to go if you want to wait forever for your $ 8 beers and $ 17 sandwiches. I got soooo tired of waiting that I simply ordered my drinks from the bartender. Pissed off the wait gal but I didn’t want to wait all day for her. My wife had 1 beer and a BLT… $ 29.00 after tip. Yep… She left a tip. I wouldn’t have. If you are use to paying these sorts of prices… You will love it… Especially if you like to wait. I hope to not go back

The worst ski bar… EVER! Right around 2:30 there is never a place to sit at the bar. So, standing between the people who have seats at the bar(who don’t actually ski) and the round bar tables, the staff constantly push and shove you. Then, when you have a small round table scoped out, the f$&#ing staff swoop in, push you out of the way and put a «Reserved» sign on the table. Table… Gone. This place blows.

Done skiing for the day? Or need a break for lunch? Go down and see Adam the bartender at the Derailer You gotta order the frickles, deep fried pickles! And the white bean soup or chili is actually really damn good and spicy. The burgers are really good, pretty much everything is great! The atmosphere is friendly and fun, perfect for a day of apres ski or just apres ski.

Been 4 times now. Great place for apps and drinks! Good tap selection and excellent burgers(pro tip: burgers are all cooked to medium, so if you don’t like pink make sure to ask for them well done). Prices are typical for a mountain place(more than $ 10 for apps and $ 15 for entrees). Have to give them 5 stars for an excellent experience in Christmas Eve. Lisa, the manager, literally saved Christmas after a HORRIBLE experience at Vertical. She pieced together 2 tables for a party of 12 and managed to get everybody fed 15 minutes before the kitchen closed! She was amazing!

The 5 star is for service. It’s a resort so your beers won’t be cheap but affordable. I’ve been coming here for years, what I’ve noticed, If you come in like a complaining guest just being a jerk because you think your entitled cause your from Denver, then all I can say is… maybe in general Everyone will treat you like that. Even other guests. But the bartenders always bit their lip and stay professional This place has the best service behind the bar anywhere on the Mountian.

Exactly what I’d expect at a ski resort. Service however is better than I’d expect each season, which can be tough to accomplish with transient employees. People watching is worth the price!

Servers everywhere but service is nonexistent. And the bartender overcharges you. Great patio though! :-)

The Derailer Bar is a good place to have a beer or a drink after a long winter day, however DONOTEATTHERE! We have gotten food poisoning twice and the last time we ordered food(12÷5÷2014) our entire table had to send it back. The food was not edible at all. Rubbery chicken, old cheese, hard buns, over cooked french fries and over salted soup. All of it was awful. Save your money and head over to Docs for lunch.

The Derailer is the perfect place to unwind after a day of skiing. Great patio and beers on tap, along with appetizers that hit the spot. Pretty good happy hour specials. Service can be a bit slow, but it’s because of the sheer number of customers and customer turnover. It’s a busy place. Prices are high, but it’s a bar at the bottom of a ski resort so if you’re not anticipating high prices you probably shouldn’t be at a ski resort in the first place.

Happy Hour is daily from 2−4pm with $ 3 drafts and $ 3.75 wells. A fun place for après-ski. Catch a game or on weekends they usually have live music. I love the Classic burger here!

This place has SO much potential, but service is… horrible. Young servers with no idea how to assist multiple tables. We waited 15 minutes out on the cold patio with servers coming out to help one table then disappearing. Half of us had nothing. With better service and patio heaters, this could be THE apres spot. It’s a shame.

Visited the Derailer after a great day of skin g and to my surprise the place was slow, but the service by Paige was outstanding, I asked a lot of questions regarding the menu, she seemed to be very knowledgable, but the«Thumpers» were ah soo good. Paige was great as was the food!

I don’t know how you can screw up nachos so many times. You know how they normally warn you that«the plate is hot»? No need here since they were ice cold both times. The beer was fine. I would not eat here but just come here to warm up after skiing and get a brew.

Derailer Bar, I like you just okay. If I could give half stars, I’d probably make this a 3.5. Why? Well, you’re a resort bar, so clearly the food is always going to be more expensive than it needs to be. Boo. But, I get it. Your menu is short but sweet(thumbs up for the spicy frickles), you carry all the requisite tourist, ski-resort drinks($ 2 beer happy hour specials; but your hot toddy? weak!), you’ve got plenty of outdoor seating, tons of tv’s, and naturally a great view. Plus, a few years ago I spent the most hilarious morning here after an unfortunate too-small-ski-boot-had-to-buy-(orange)-crocs-for-the-day incident which also involved me drinking a countless number of bloodies at the bar waiting for my group. Good times, good times. Delicious bloodies, highly recommended. And it’s not your fault that people can’t read signs(particularly the«wait to be seated» and the«don’t bring your own food in» ones), but you may want to step up the promptness of your service. Sure, it’s a packed resort, but no reason to be too leisurely about everything.

Derailer Bar also has Derailer Grill(at least during the summer). Reasonably priced burgers, cheeseburgers, brats and chickie sandwiches. The chicken sandwiches take a bit longer to come up but hey I’d rather pace with grumblies in my tummy than to eat a piece of raw chicken. They have a couple of choices for cheese and they’re chocolate chips cookies are soft and finger lickin good! Psst… don’t buy a bottle of water. Around the corner they offer free water in Gatorade life dispensers/coolers. When I commented on this to them they gave me my money back and the cookies.
