I lived in Calibre Bend for two years and I have a lot to say so I’ll try to organize everything as well as I can. If you have any questions, just ask in the comments below and I’ll try to check back to answer them. Floor Plan: The Cove(2b2b) Original Price: $ 1100(15mo Lease) Move Out Price: $ 1400/mo Second Floor Unit Pricing: I’m going to start off with the number one reason you should not move to Calibre Bend. When I first started out, it was the highest priced apartment complex in the area but it was slightly nicer than most so I felt it was justifiable. Had it stayed at that price I might have been able to stay but every time I had renewed my lease, the price went up. After two years I was paying almost $ 300 more a month. Now I can understand this a bit because I wasn’t signing 12-month leases but even so I think it got out of hand pretty quickly. Considering that the tenant below me(identical floor plan) moved in at under $ 900 and even though she had been there even longer than me was paying just over $ 900 when I moved out. So clearly there was something weird about their pricing and it was in no way in my favor. This is why I ended up moving out. I had gone into the office several times to ask about how I ended up paying this much money and I don’t know how many times Wajiah told me «The prices change daily» and that it was my fault which is complete BS considering the website can say $ 940 and when you go in there is ends up being almost $ 1100. In my opinion this is just flat-out false advertising. I truly believe that they take advantage of Full Sail students and they know that if you can afford the tuition at Full Sail that they can over-charge you by hundreds of dollars a month. So if you ignore my warnings about moving in I highly suggest that you don’t say anything about being a Student. On a separate but related topic, I received a letter stuck in my door explaining that now that a law was to be passed banning credit card fees when paying rent they have stopped excepting credit cards. They don’t care about anything but making every single penny they can off of you. Staff: The office staff consists of three women: Mandy(The Property Manager), Wajiah(Leasing Something or other) and Katie(The position that seems to change every few months). Through my entire two year stay I had only talked to Mandy once and she immediately passed me off to Wajiah. I don’t know if she’s just incredibly busy or if she’s just not a social person, either way, no complaints there. However, Wajiah had to be one of the worst people I have ever dealt with in the history of any business both professionally and personally. Not only was she never helpful, she was condescending, snarky and outright rude. I truly don’t understand what her issue was but every time I had come in with an issue or question she would explain it to me as though I were wrong and then go on to explain why I was wrong over and over. Through the entire move-out process she would even try to guilt me for moving out even though I explained exactly why I had to move(I couldn’t afford the constantly rising prices). On top of that, I would have been able to stay had they let me move into a one bedroom that had just become available for under $ 1k but they would not let me transfer. Just completely unbearable. Katie was nice enough but it didn’t seem like she knew a ton about leasing. When I first moved in, there was a woman named Amber and she was fantastic! She moved after a few months and was replaced with another woman that literally didn’t know her a** from her face when it came to anything about the complex.
