Great Cuban food! I loved the sweet plantains. They are perfectly sweet, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The black beans are amazing too. Parking is limited and very tight.

I ordered through Unilocal and 1:30 and it is now 4:02. My food was never delivered. They assured me it was to be delivered by 3 the latest. No one will respond back to me. They charged a $ 6.99 delivery plus tip. $ 25 and my food never shied up. I don’t care how good the food is. I will never be back to black bean deli again.

My job has brought in catering from Black Bean Deli. The catering is amazing — I can’t get enough of it. The food is absolutely amazing, service is wonderful, huge portions at a fairly reasonable rate, etc. I started going there for lunch a couple of times because of how good the catering was when we had it brought in. Going there for lunch is not as great. It’s a small restaurant, so definitely call it in ahead of time and be prepared to take it to go. It’s busy in there, so I found it’s best to roll in about 5 minutes after their estimated time if you go during the busy hours. It’s rarely done when they say it will be during the lunch rush. Don’t get me wrong — the people there are super sweet and good at their jobs. It just gets unbelievably busy in there for such a small place. The food was surprisingly bland though. I don’t know what the difference is. I thought at first that it was a one time thing or maybe related to what I ordered so I tried going back a few times and experienced the same issue over multiple dishes. Picadillo, both white meat and dark meat chicken, potato balls, croquettes… all very meh at lunch time, yet most are things I’ve had through catering that have been fabulous. If you need a caterer, definitely consider Black Bean. If you’re looking for lunch time Cuban food, there are other Cuban restaurants(particularly near-ish to Full Sail) that are much tastier and at a slightly lower cost.

Super delicious! Wonderful little place. If you’re in a hurry during lunch, you may be smart to call in an order, but it is well worth the wait!

Hands down my favorite place to eat. The food is always fresh, delicious and reasonably priced. The rice, beans and plantains are my favorites as well as the empanadas! Best cuban food in Florida, including Miami in my opinion :)

Black Bean Deli is a Winter Park staple. I started working in the Winter Park Village 9 years ago, and back then there wasn’t nearly as many lunch options around the immediate area as there are now. Once I started talking to all my co-workers, I quickly learned about the Cuban heaven that was Black Bean Deli. I’ll never forget the first time I went there… I remember being a little intimidated by the parking lot(it’s small and always crowded during the lunch hour) and the line that was out the door. But once I tasted my first bite of picadillo, there was no turning back! Over the years, I have learned to always(ALWAYS) call my order in first, otherwise be prepared to wait about 20 minutes because it gets crazy packed during lunch. Also, I usually don’t ever plan on eating there… only about 6 or 7 stool seats in the tiny building. On top of that, factor in the crowd that’s waiting in line to get their food to go — not the most ideal eating conditions. There’s a nice park not far too away, so I few times I’ve taken my to go order there if it was too crowded. Or if you really want to eat in, there’s always the second location on Colonial that is bigger with a lot more seating. Food wise, I almost always go for the Pan con Lechon sandwich. It’s delicious, melt in your mouth pork that is slathered in garlic mojo sauce, and served on perfectly toasted Cuban bread. So good! The picadillo plater is another one of my favs… comes with rice, beans, salad and maduros(sweet plantains). The staff is nice and friendly, and the tiny spot always seems to be immaculate clean.

Some people love Black Bean Deli, but I’m not overly impressed. Having lived in South Florida and Tampa for a long time, my expectations for good Cuban food are very high. It’s probably a 4 star in Orlando, but overall, it’s ok. It’s worth a try and make up your own mind, but I’ll save BBD for those days where someone else drags me in here. The location is cool with the funky triangle looking front and it’s in the hipster area, if you are into that thing.

4 Stars for solid Cuban food on the go! I’ll admit I like the Colonial location better due mostly to the seating. This spot is tight! So tight that I’ve always just picked up food to-go. But, boy did I devour it once back home! My go-to is the medianoche sandwich which has sweet bread that pairs really well with their green avocado sauce. They also have mastered a good sweet plantain– crunchy caramelized edges and a sweet, soft middle. Perfection! I’m also a fan of their baked goods, so don’t miss out on the empanadas and guava and cheese pastries!

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while now and I finally had the chance. This location is very small and has limited seating– I’m talking maybe 6 barstools for seating. We tried the daily special, half of a Cuban sandwich and a side of rice and beans. We also go the pan con lechon sandwich. I wasn’t a huge fan of the Cuban but the other sandwich was amazing. The sandwich portions are HUGE so you don’t need a side unless you want one. I’d like to come back and try other items on their menu too.

I am a huge fan. The best Cuban sandwich ever! The bread is crunchy and warm on the inside. The plantains and black beans are divine. I am also in love with their different varieties of Flan. 2 locations in Orlando to make the feasting easier!

My love for Cuban food is so real and Black Bean Deli is one of my go to spots. The portions are nice, the food is always hot, and I know that the service will be on point. my Piccadillo was delicious. The ground beef is well flavored and you can never go wrong with their rice and black beans. Since I live on the opposite side of town, stopping by to grab dinner when I’m close is always a treat!

Really good food and reasonable prices. Their lunch special is only $ 6 and it includes a Cuban Sandwich & a side of Black Beans & Rice. Their Cuban is REALLY good! It is nicely pressed so that it is crispy yet soft bread inside, the ham they use has great flavor and is slightly sweet which works well with the gooey cheese and pickles(it was so good I didn’t even use mustard). The beans were good but soupy and could have used some salt & pepper, and you get more beans then rice. We also tried their tea which you can get sweet or un-sweet, I got the sweet, but it wasn’t that sweet to me(i like it really sweet) so I just added some sugar to it and it was perfect.

The shredded beef empanada was ok(not bad but not fresh). The pork sandwich(pan con lechon) was also just ok. I liked the one at Cubans on Run way better. The garbanzo bean soup, however, was amazing! A garlicy delight! I’d go back just for that.

When I was living in Orlando, I would frequent this restaurant during my lunch breaks on the days I had classes. The place is TINY! I mean, so tiny that there’s barely any room to stand while waiting for your order much less seats to sit and enjoy your meal. During lunch hours this place gets packed! I suggest ordering take out and picking it up. Either way, the food is amazing! I usually ordered the Cuban sandwich until a friend of mine suggested the Media Noche. It’s pretty much the cuban sandwich but on a sweeter bread. Their bread is so fresh and it’s the perfect amount of crunch when toasted. Their rice and black beans and tostones are perfect sides to this sandwich. Their empenadas are to die for! I have to say that this place has got to have the best Cuban food around. Don’t miss out on this amazing food and keep an eye out for the little cuban deli in the corner! This place won’t disappoint! Tip: Order take out… or wait until after the lunch rush.

It was my first time coming to this place. Something quick before hitting the road. The place is small and you have to come at the right time otherwise even that it is small it gets busy. The food it is good. I tried the pan con pernil or lechon con pan, it was a little bit salty, next time I ask for mayo in my bread to kill the saltiness. My husband had the media noche which taste very yummy.

Best lunch spot in Winter Park!!! These guys have great service! The food is always hot, fresh and always very yummy! Love the cute little shop that they have and the employees are always super friendly when I come in. I asked for my bread on my Cuban to be very lightly toasted and the chef even came over to ask me my opinion on how toasted the bread was and if that was okay before they wrapped up my sandwich and gave it to me in a bag to go. I can be a little particular when it comes toy food, so I was very happy that they checked with me and also was very impressed with the high level of service and quality of communication skills!!! The food is so reasonably priced! The portions are generous and SCRUMPTIOUS! Will be back again & again!
