This is a pretty cool park. Safe with a lot of things to do. Very convenient, right in the heart of Winston-Salem. — Baseball fields — Walking trails(most asphalt paved) — Tennis courts(you will never see my ass here BTW) — Horse shoe pits — Playground for the kids — Several pavilions — Picnic tables — Large open field for doing whatever. Apparently clothes are required. At least that’s what the cop told me. Glad I had my shorty robe in the truck. The park is dog friendly(leashed) and many of the trails go through wooded areas.

With some updates this park could be a 5 star park. When we got there there was not a map sign in the parking lot. We were going to a cookout at shelter 2 and we had no idea where it was. We had to take a chance, pick a path, and see where it led. We passed some shelters but since there was no signage you had to walk up to see which one it was. Some of the trails are flat and others are very hilly. Others had huge pot holes and were very uneven. It looks like they just pave over once in a while so the trail is much higher than the ground. The shelters are not bad. We had a large shelter with picnic tables and a grill. It was close to the playground and bathrooms which was a plus since we had a lot of kids in our group. The grill was a good size and there were plenty of trashcans. One of the best features of the park is all of the trees. The shade was great on a warm evening. Their rental price was reasoable and the park itself is in a centeal location.

A very nice place to go for a short walk or play a game of baseball or soccer! This is a local park that I was drawn to soon after moving to Winston Salem. I do some running for exercise and although I did run here a couple of times, it’s not ideal for that. It is, however, very nice to go for a walk or play some group sport. The main part of Miller park is a large grassy field surrounded by a paved path around it. There are some paths that are outshoots from this big field, but it makes up the core of the park. I’m a frequent visitor of Subway, and it was on a trip to the Subway restaurant across the street that I spotted Miller park. I’ve really only used it as a place to go walk around on a particularly pretty day, but I’ve often spotted groups of high school or college aged folks playing sports out in the field.
