This is a tired, old Embassy Suites, better to avoid. The staff is stellar, really. I feel bad they are stuck in such a dump. Should be rebranded or remodeled ASAP.

Worst Embassy Suites! As Diamond members we love Hiltons but this one needs some help. Staff was not friendly at all when we checked in. Elevator was dirty… room smelled like it had been a smoking room. Went for breakfast and all the tables were full due to convention. Got the premier room which was supposed to have drinks, snacks and candy bars… gave us a bag with 2 waters, one pack M&Ms and bag of popcorn… and that is supposed to be for 3 guests! Never again! When we come back it will be at one of the other properties of Hilton definitely not this one. Horrible!!!

Embassy suites has a great reputation but it was not earned by the staff of this hotel. The check in was slow but efficient. The room smelled like cigarettes upon entering the room. The breakfast was very good. The hallways and stairways were dirty. The manager’s reception had nice snacks. The room bill was wrong on a lot of people’s bills. The girl at front desk needed training so the check out was very slow. I had a problem and Jessica promised a phone call but I had to call three hours later to get resolution. Asked to speak with hotel manager and it is eight hours later and no call. This used to be a very good hotel but has run down since Hilton took over. Do not want to stay here again.

I really want to give this place a 4 star… I really did… but the reason for the two star is because of Regan. The mean @ss punk that checked us in… So I traveled down to NC for my cousins wedding. We arrived in NC and were trying to check in. There was a lot going on in the front lobby to say the least. There was some kind of convention going on, and people coming in for a family reunion. We approached the front desk, and there to «help» us was a jerk named Regan… Regan was a complete @sshole… The whole time it felt like we were inconveniencing him by being there… So what it was loud, people were laughing and greeting each other. That’s part of the job. He gave the worst customer service and any time we tried to ask a question he either gave a half ass answer or acted like he didn’t know… So we get into the room… It was pretty nice… It was kind of hard to work the AC it either got to hot or to cold. And the toilet kept stopping up, and we weren’t using that much toilet paper… Next time I’m here I’ll make sure to pick another hotel to stay in.

Zero stars are deserved at this hotel. I just tried to check in with my family and when I did a girl named April looked at me like I had five heads when I went up to the counter and told her my last name. Then I followed up with«were checking in.» and she looked at me again like I was stupid and that«checking in» was not part of normal hotel operations. I have never been treated so poorly at a hotel. I don’t even want to stay here anymore.

Stayed here over the weekend for a local wedding, and it was a below average experience, bordering on poor. GOOD: Location, size of rooms, bathroom design/décor, prices were reasonable, free breakfast(and especially the breakfast cook/omelette man — very personable and engaging) POOR: Slow moving, lazy staff(front desk), thin windows that didn’t retain room heat and/or outside noise, 1 toilet in 2BR suite didn’t work, VERYWEAK wireless internet signal in corner suites(unit 722 and 714), found a ROACH in my tub!!! Room service fries(overcooked, soggy) and breakfast coffee were downright disgusting; buy from the over priced starbucks in the lobby instead. THEHIGHLIGHT: I called front desk at 830am to tell them about my unstable wireless connection(continuously losing connection). 4 reminders later at 4:30pm(8 hours from initial call), front desk told me that they can send an engineer to my room to check it out. One hour later at 5:30, I called them again asking where the hell he was, front desk told me they’d call him. One hour later at 6:30, the engineer came knocking, but I was in the shower. Honestly, if you’re going to take 10 hours to send someone, you have failed miserably at your job. Room service and housekeeping arrived promptly, however. Read from Trip advisor that this place was infamous for bed bugs as well, so beware!!!

Really one of the nicest in the chain. Rooms clean and furniture in good repair, EVERYONE at the hotel is the nicest, from the valet to the guy who makes the omelets in the morning. Convenient location downtown. We got a great deal with the AAA booking service. Only caution, if you like good wine and beer, do yourself a favor and upgrade at the reception in the afternoon.

We stopped here on a whim the night before Christmas Eve, and yes, there was room at the inn! There was lots of room, in fact. The staff were delighted to offer us a room at a bargain price, with very cheap parking in a sheltered lot to go with it, and we were happy. Free cooked breakfast in the morning, including an omelette station, eggs, bacon, tortillas, fresh fruit, yogurt, juice and more. Starbucks also in the lobby — not free Very nice friendly staff, showing that southern hospitality. The room was a suite, so we had a big living room and kitchenette and a giant king bedroom. Super quiet, a good night’s sleep, and we were back on the road. Nice place to stop!

It was an Embassy Suites. If you’ve been to an Embassy Suites, you know what I’m talking about. Glass elevators, a large empty area inside many of the rooms have a balcony overlooking, a fitness center comprised of treadmills and free weights, free hot breakfast, and cocktail reception in the evening. With that said, there wasn’t anything that blew me away about my stay. The room was clean. The TVs were not flat screen. The shampoo, conditioner, and lotion provided were not from any brand I recognized. The hot breakfast had watery eggs(a Hilton hotel staple) and a made to order oily omelet station. There’s a Starbucks on the first floor, next to a salon and fur store. It closes at 6pm, though. The entry doors on the north side of the hotel also close at 6pm. Nothing blew me away and nothing disappointed me.

This was a very nice hotel. It had plenty of non-smoking rooms that were kept spotless. The hotel was new and very welcoming. It was nicely decorated and had large rooms at a reasonable price. There was a nice business center and I greatly enjoyed my stay here.
