Really fast service, great food. Nice people. Always have to get a milkshake when I go here. The cookout tray is the best because its so much food for so little money. Great for students on a budget

Worst Cookout I’ve ever been to. Where are the quesadillas that are in SC and VA?! This location also has terrible service.

This is the best place for a late night munchie run! It’s 2am and I’m starving so I head to cook out around the corner. They are so friendly even at 2am. I want me a burger and fries? Forget McDonalds I’m heading to my nearest cook out. Awesome restaurant. I love the food and the service, but mostly the food.

It’s like 3 in the morning, you are tired as hell, and you want as many freakin delicious calories in your mouth as you can possibly stand. This is your place. Cookout is a southern gem. It’s super cheap unhealthy food served virtually 24/7, meaning it is the oasis of the drunk, the hungry, and the stoned. You don’t go here for an artisanal salad made of kale and arrogance. You go here to shove burgers, chicken tenders, and milkshakes in your mouth like a pig. And that’s cool. I highly recommend virtually any milkshake made here: all are ridiculously tasty and hand-spun. Ditto on the chicken strip platter with hush puppies, which is arguably leagues better than the somewhat okay burgers.

Great late night drunchies spot. Drove up at around 2 and ordered a corn dog, chili cheese fries and a chocolate milkshake. Corn dog was perfectly fried and i demolished the fries and shake. Mind you this is what I remember of the meal, but it has always been delicious.

I can legitimately say that I’ve been to ALL cook-outs in W-S. Here is what you need to remember, Cook-out is about the memories. You hop in a car for a spontaneous trip with friends down to the local Cook-Out, you order through the drive through with your sun roof open and laughing from the bottom of your heart. You order the signature cook-out milk shake, at a surprisingly low price of just about $ 2.50, with so many selections of flavors it makes your eyeballs go wild. While you are at it you place an order of fries and onion rings as well, heck, might as well put in some hush puppies. I cannot emphasize enough, the fries at Cook-out is off the hook! You have to get them if you get nothing else, well I hope you’ll at least try their milkshakes of course, because they are the best bang for your buck! Fries: Crispy, thick, nice coating yum yum, crave them daily if they don’t get me the heartburn haha onion rings: So, So, not bad, nothing earth shattering hush puppies: a bit dry, maybe a better sauce to go with them would help wraps: $ 1 each but they literally have nothing in it but 2 pieces of chicken tenders Overall, come for the tradition, come for the fun and know what to order!

I can’t speak for the grilled goodness(my friends who came with thought it was awesome) but at 2am, we needed to try out something special, and me from the Pacific Northwest, I had to have a little bit of Cook-Out. They had way too many flavors, and we asked politely if we could take a moment to review the nearly 100 choices of shakes… I settled on a little orange-creamsicle gem, which was perfect after a long day of heat and celebration. I have to say, service was great late night, and kudos for offering a credit card option.

This place is usually fast and you get in and out VERY quickly. I run here sometimes on my lunch break. The only thing that I dont like about this location is that it is hard to get out of sometimes with the traffic coming through. Other than that… Typical Cook-Out…

Customer service is a foreign concept at this location. I called to ask about the hours and directions and the female who answered the phone was so rude and unprofessional. When I got to the drive thru to make the order, they were laughing and joking with each other The food was OK but I’ll avoid this location in the future. GHETTO.

Best. Milkshakes. Ever! And they have great combo meals. You can get a big hamburger, a corndog, fries and a drink for around $ 5. Sooo good! Their double drive-thru is convenient. If you’re in NC, you need to try a Cook Out burger and shake.

I agree with other Unilocalers, I am typically not a fan of chain eateries but this is an exception. A friend recommended Cook Out so I tried it on the way out of town. An impressive offering especially from a drive through only fast food place. I got the regular burger which was not overcooked, had fresh looking condiments and was a really good burger. I also ordered hushpuppies(never seen hushpuppies offered on a drive through burger menu) which were excellent! I am adding Cook Out to my burger list and will be eating here on my next trip to NC.

Cook Out is my favorite late night eatery. The are considered to be the In & Out of the south instead it offers a lot more items on their menu. For example, they have over 100 different milkshakes. My favorite milkshake is the watermelon milkshake however, they only offer it for one month during the year.(July — Aug) My usual order I get is the charbroiled chicken sandwich with grilled onions and cheese. Instead of using slices of bread they replace it with a hamburger bun. Chicken sandwich, steak fries, coleslaw, and a milkshake at 2 am Unilocal delicious!

I wish this franchise covered more territory, and I don’t say that often. They have great shakes and great burgers. The shakes come in a wide variety of flavors. The burgers are quite authentically«backyard style.» They have other items, but I generally avoid them. Also, they’re open late. Ah, and they only do drive through. On the rare occasion, you’ll find one with outdoor seating.

The best late night fast food in North Carolina. It was 12-midnight and I ordered the chicken tenders tray with a side of cajun fries and onion rings. I also had a Heath bar shake. They are famous for shakes. The total cost was $ 5.34 for all this food and the portion of chicken tenders could have served two. It is drive through take out only at the Cook Out. If you eat in the car, be sure and ask for extra napkins. I am told this Cook Out is open until 4 a.m.
