Las Marias is a classic of the hole-in-the-wall café. Seems popular with the Winslow locals, the staff knew most of the people by name the day I was there. The waiter was pleasant and helpful. The décor lets you know what’s on the menu, but they also bring menus to the table. Just about anything Mexican can be had here, and they also serve American breakfasts. I had the guacamole tacos. They were crisp from the frier, but could have used a bit more filling. The beans were classic refries, and not runny– very good. The rice was vety lightly spiced, and was ok. They have a very nice salsa bar, and a good selection of salsas as well as jalapenos roasted and escobeche. There was an assortment of Mexican candies at the counter and an ice cream cooler if desert is desired. They have an outdoor seating area that is as interestingly decorated as the inside. Inside was a giant flat screen TV which had a bizarre western telenovela on. It was dubbed into English, and tho I usually hate TVs where I am eating, this one was odd enough to interest me.

Las Maria’s tamale’s are fantastic! I love them so much– that I purchase a dozen frozen several times per year in order to bring them back with me to Phoenix. When you visit the restaurant in downtown Winslow(on Route 66) — you’ll notice the fresh and flavorful salsa bar– PS– I love the pickled carrots! The salsa’s are a welcome accompaniment to any dish. I also love their enchilada’s and taco’s. And the prices are unbelievably cheap! Great spot for great Mexican food in AZ.

Quaint little restaurant located in nowheresville also know as Winslow, AZ. The service was actually decent, reminded me of a true Mexican taco spot/cantina. Also seemed to be a huge hit with the locals, as there were lots of them inside. I ordered the enchiladas platter with a chile relleno, co– party had the breakfast burrito. The food arrived hot, fresh, and tasted really good. As a bonus they were playing movies on the big screen inside. It was interesting to see so many people actually watching and interacting with the movie while eating at a restaurant. Felt like eating at home with the TV on. Unique experience indeed.

By far the best burritos I’ve ever had. The prices are good too. Definitely worth a stop when you’re in town.

It really doesn’t look like much from the outside, but don’t overlook this gem. I grew up in the Southwest and have been eating Mexican food for over 40 years, but this was the best chili Verde I have ever had. Very pleasant service, wonderful atmosphere, and the best darn Mexican food in Winslow Arizona. The price was also an incredible value. Highly recommended!

I’ve eaten here before as the food is good. However, tonight the service sucked. I had to ask for chips and salsa. The salsa bar was packed away already. I ordered the mini tacos and it wasn’t served with a smile. I had to ask for silverware. She brought one set and asked if I wanted one. Ummmm, yeah. If you’re gonna hire relatives, please teach them customer service skills first. On a good note, the tacos were delicious.

I enjoy the atmosphere and the staff is usually friendly. The food is good, but the prices could be a bit lower, in my personal opinion. It is a nice, clean place. I do enjoy this restaurant.

This place is great! If you are looking for some delicious home made food at very good prices look no further than the family owned and operated Las Marias. My friend and I decided to have lunch here while doing the tourists thing in Winslow. As we are both really into Mexican food, our expectations were pretty high. Now you must remember that this is a mom n pop place with chotchky décor and clear plastic on the tables. Their teenaged son was the server that day and was doing a pretty good job, though if the place had been full he would’ve needed a hand as they had indoor and outdoor seating. We both had the beef enchiladas which were generously portioned and served with retried beans and rice, the sauce was good and they put a good amount of cheeses on them as well. They serve regular and Mecican style soft drinks too called Mexican Water. Don’t be nervous, it’s made with Winslow water ;) In all a great little joint that I would happily return to when next I get the urge to «Take It Easy», standin’ on a corner in Winslow Arizona, such a fine sight to see! And yes indeed, these IS a flatbed Ford too!

Amazing place! The food was super cheap and very tasty. The décor is very cool as well. This place is perfect for an afternoon on a budget. The«outside» porch has a good vibe. The only thing this place is missing is brews. No alcohol here.

I stopped in for lunch with my lady, son, and father in law in tow. The place was clean and very colorful. We ordered the special they had advertised outside the shop and a combination plate. The prices were affordable and the service was quick and attentive. Before we got our food the server put in the Disney movie Brother Bear, which my two year old loves! It kept him calm and focused on eating his food. All in all this place has quick and delicious food. Don’t forget to tip your waiter.

Oh boy, this place is an undiscovered treasure. We went there on a Friday night and it was near deserted. The atmosphere was genuine Mexican with many colorful displays. You almost feel as though you are in Mexico. We started with Horchata as we were very thirsty and then ordered a variety of ala cart items. It was fabulous. The bill was about $ 19.50 and we tipped $ 5.00. Awesome food, good service. Wish there was a Las Marias where we live. Try the Las Marias chicken mole. This place will thrive due to small square footage and great food.

The food was amazing at Las Marias! We had the Huevos Rancheros and a steak burrito. We are from Cali and see many trips to Las Marias in our future as we RV across country. They do need to update the tablees and chairs as they are not very comfortable.

So we were in Winslow passing through looking for somewhere to eat. We found this place at 9:00pm still open ready to take orders! A party of 4 we sat down with menus. The waiter seemed inexperienced but she was nice and polite. Its a small place in downtown area and the food was Fresh and hot. Now if your looking for spicy this place isn’t for you. If your into a fresh not so greasy Mexican food, this is the place for ya! The portions seemed very normal and average sized. As for the price, ITS A STEAL! The food is really tasty and fresh! I won’t mind coming back in.

A place recently opened in the Winslow where many other restaurants have tried and failed. Now to add the already numerous Mexican joints in town. Stopped in the first time for dinner with my grandmother. Quaint place with usual Mexican décor and colors. They have a tv with internet radio playing. We weren’t sure if we were to order at the counter or table because huge menu plastered on the wall, but order at the table. I decided on the sopas/gorditas plate with chicken without the rice and beans. Our waitress was attentive and helpful. So my first experience there was decent, food was good, prices are affordable. Month and half later we come back and the service was subpar. Not the same waitress and we waited much longer. Only ordered the street tacos for $ 1 each which weren’t so bad and filling. Just did not like the service the 2nd time around.
