This is the real deal pie. If I would tweak one thing, it’d be an ever so slightly crispier crust. But the sauce is killer and the cheese is generous and tastes fresh. If they have dessert left, you must try it! Banana cream pie and the turtle brownie are nomtastic.

THE pizza of the West Suburbs, I’ve grown up with Giannorio’s, and thier cheese is second to none. Toppings that don’t skimp or disappoint. In my town there are so many options within 3 miles. Nothing beats Giannorio’s. The owners and staff are warm and friendly. The establishment is a quant gem of the suburbs, small but not to be underestimated. Great desserts, cold beverages, and classic square cut pizza that focuses on the cheese and topping. Very no frills crust, but that’s part of the experience. They cook mighty close to the edge. Try a pizza«well done» to add a little crisp to your pie.

I have to take off one star for no delivery option. It’s pizza, sometimes I want to be lazy. Other than that, this place is awesome. Buffalo chicken pizza is amazing. Bacon great. Cheese top notch. Pretty much cannot go wrong here. I’ve tried some odd combinations and everyone still liked it. Making myself hungry now. If you live anywhere near here or even drive somewhat close on the way home, pickup some pizza and your family will love it.

GREATDELICIOUSPIZZA. I can see why this place is popular. We called in at 7pm for a pizza order and they said to pick up at 8:05pm. Ordered the classic pan pizza and cheesecake. When we got there, there were at least four other people waiting for their pizza. Crust was perfect and cheese and toppings were just delicious and mouth watering. They give a good amount of toppings on their pizzas. Their cheesecake was okay, I’ll try the carrot cake the next time around. I highly recommend this place!

A friend visited us at CDH after welcoming our son into this world. She brought a pizza from here along with the most delicious home made sweets ever! The pizza was yummy and she raved about watching them make the pizza. Looking forward to going back even if it’s just to pick up some home made goods :) Their lemon bars were to die for but honestly each treat was. Don’t think I could chose a favorite!

I was really excited because of all the reviews being so high. Ordered a regular crust half mushroom half sausage easy sauce. I thought that the sausage was of high quality and the mushrooms no problem there… however…light sauce should be for the whole pizza not just sections of it. Bit into a piece of mushroom and sauce spilled out upon my bite. I’m just not a fan of a lot of sauce and it should have been made properly. I also wasn’t a fan of the amount of cheese on my pizza. Seemed light for the amount of money pizzas sell for here. Maybe I’ll give them another shot in the future but to me it’s not 5 stars. There are better options in the area.

Love love love, Best place for pizza in town. You will not be disappointed. Just a simple ’ to go’ pizza place but they don’t need all the frills here. The food speaks for itself.

Hard to find in the stripmall area, but worth the search. Tried their regular thin crust and cheesy garlic bread. Both were really good. Will definitely go back.

Great pizza, and great cupcakes(red velvet, wow). If crust is important to you, note that regular thin crust here is like thick crust elsewhere, so if you like it thin, order the extra thin crust. I prefer to be filled up by ingredients, not crust. But again, great pizza, with a lot of ingredients! I have to admit that I prefer Nancy’s in Wheaton, but, if we needed desserts with our pizza, I would get a pizza here just to get their desserts(which I’m sure sell out quickly). Oh, and someone mentioned that this place is pricey, and I did NOT find that to be true, in fact, I think they’re cheaper than Nancy’s.

Best pizza in the western suburbs… no! It’s the best anywhere outside of Chicago. And most in Chicago!! It’s a pity they’re closed on Monday and Tuesday evenings. I’ve been a customer for 20 years. A very happy customer. The family’s deli in downtown Winfield is also incredible! Any pizza or dessert selection is a good one. Can’t go wrong.

We finally found a worthy pizza place after over 10 years in the western burbs! Not cheap, not fast, but damn good!

After eating a lot of quesadillas and baked french fries while at CDH(trust me… it’s one of the only good food items there), we had to get some outside food. And no matter how much you’re hurting, pizza will always make you feel better. Especially when you’re starving, which having a baby apparently makes you. Gianorios makes an excellent pizza. It has perfect sausage, great sauce, tons of cheese, and a chewy crust. I like my pizza crust REALLY thin so that was my only complaint. If you can even consider that a complaint, really. Either way, this pizza was a welcome addition to our hospital room. I just wish it was deliverable… though my man was probably thrilled to leave the hospital and be a part of society for the amount of time it took to pick it up.

This pizza is one of the best we have ever had. It’s always hot. We love the crust on the double dough. We all fight over the outside pieces! The sauce is very tasty and has a homemade fresh taste to it. They are always generous with the cheese and other toppings. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was because delivery is not available and they do not offer any coupons. The reason I think is because it’s just that good. They are always busy! Once you get hooked you won’t care that they don’t deliver or offer coupons. Kind of like the«Soup Nazi» on Seinfeld. You have the privilege to eat great pizza or get outta here! LOL– only kidding. They are very polite. But trust me they don’t have to be polite because their pizza is just that good! You will keep coming back.

Crust is great, ingredients are fresh, only problem is sauce is a bit bland. Needs more spice or garlic or something. Really only tasted good with giardinera as a topping since it has some flavor to the sauce.

Tried this during my recent visit to Chicago. It was expensive but totally worth it. We were 4 people and we order large pizza which was enough for all of us. So in that way it’s not expensive at all. I wish we have same place like this close to Indianapolis. Service was great and I guess they are in business for last 35 years, so no need to say more. Would love to try that again. Thanks!

Was looking for a new place after I had a horrible experience at Caliendo’s in Winfield. I posted a review already from December. Anyways… if you blink going down County Farm Road, you may miss this place. Tucked away in a mini mall, is this wonderful place called Gianorio’s. I called for a carry out order to try them out. Very nice people, very hospitable, and humble, and appreciative of the business. Told them of the bad experience at the other place and they said to let them know what I thought about their pizza. Brought it home and my wife asked if I requested extra sauce and extra cheese. I said no… but it sure looked as I did. I could feel how heavy the pizza was when I got it but wow… lots of ingredients. Flavor was awesome. Price was great. Great pie. I will be back!!!

The amazing deliciousness of Gianorios has been pretty well covered by the Unilocal community. While I don’t have anything to say that hasn’t already been said, I do have another 5 stars to chip in. We had the stuffed pizza for the first time last night, and it was so incredibly delicious! Love the sauce, the crust, and the abundance of tasty cheese. I recommend trying the carrot cake, too. As another reviewer mentioned(or maybe multiple other reviewers), I can’t believe how many times I’ve driven past this place without realizing it was there.

3 of my Unilocal friends had posted stellar reviews for this tiny, carry-out only, suburban pizza joint(*waves to Joe, Peter, and Pat* xD). So when I was hit with an undeniable pizza craving a few days ago, I turned to Gianorio’s. I called in and ordered the 12″ stuffed cheese($ 14.50 for the 9″ cheese, $ 18.50 for 12″). It takes about 50 mins to prepare. When I came in to pick up my order, I was promptly helped with friendly service by the young man at the counter. I remembered that I had to try their carrot cake, so I selected that, along with their banana cream pie. Both were generous portions that could easily feed 2 – 3 people. The total came to $ 30. When I physically picked up the pizza, I was impressed by its hefty weight haha. Now onto the pizza. For me, the flavorful sauce & cheese really elevated the pizza into awesome stratus. When I took my first bite, I was transported into my happy place. I may even have closed my eyes and made a few onomatopoeic sounds of appreciation lol. The sauce at first seemed sweet, but no, my tastebuds were tricked; it was more tangy than sweet. Perfect texture to the sauce too, thick and not overly chunky or runny. And of course the cheese was excellent, not bland at all. I was impressed that there weren’t greasy pools leaking from the pizza considering the huge amounts of cheese that Gianorio’s stuffed uses. Also, I was glad to note that the crust wasn’t soggy, one of my pet peeves, though I’m lenient if it’s leftover pizza. I noted a slight smokiness at times when biting into the crust, which I enjoyed. And even though I started out ravenous, I couldn’t finish one slice, so big kudos! :D Of the two desserts, I loved the carrot cake. It was the richest carrot cake that I’ve ever tried, especially with that satisfyingly thick layer of luscious cream cheese frosting. I liked how the frosting wasn’t overly sweet either. This cake was perfect & moist, and I honestly can’t think of how it could be better. The banana cream pie was good, in particular, the buttery thick crust, but I can make better so I’ll pass on this next time. EDIT June 2013 — Even after trying pizzas in Italy, I still think Gianorio’s has some of the best sauce & cheese I’ve tasted. After returning to the US, I ordered a small stuffed($ 14.50 for 9″) and small sausage double dough. The stuffed was spot-on, but the double dough was too much bread for me. I wanted more sauce/toppings. The sausage was okay. I like White Cottage Pizzeria’s sausage better. Next time, I plan on trying their thin pizza ;)

Heaven on Earth. You will not be disappointed in anything you order. My top recommendations are the Stuffed Pizza(I would suggest Cheese only… It will get extremely messy with toppings, but to each his own), and the Carrot Cake. I’m not going to say I would die to get Gianorio’s Pizza, but if they ever went anyway, I might have to go on an antidepressant. Angie is the owner, and she’s fantastic. GOGETPIZZANOW!
