Wanted to like it more. Service and ambience were all good, very nice people. We each had a cocktail, flavors were bland and there was little alcohol in them. Appetizers were equally meh. Had marinated shrimp — had no idea they would be cold! Or that 50% of the bowl would be of super hot jalapeño peppers. We had to remove the shrimp from the rest of the ingredients immediately to try to make it less spicy. We also ordered shishito peppers, a favorite of ours. They needed at least a few more seconds of cooking time and also some salt or flavoring. They were served with some kind of sauteed parsley or other herb that was actually tasty in itself, but it just didn’t go together. Entrees were better. The hanger steak was cooked perfectly and quite flavorful. The branzino was pretty good. Cooked well and served nicely, it was solid. The branzino came with yummy black lentils and an extremely vinegared tiny onions. I’m usually a fan of vinegar, but the way it was served was way too strong. Maybe slice up those onions. Or perhaps the problem was that it looked like a mushroom to me so I popped the whole thing in my mouth at one to a vinegary shock. Hanger steak also came with a side of sweet sour medley. Overall it was a decent experience, but didn’t impress. The hanger steak itself I’d say was the best part as well as service.

My boyfriend and I are new to the neighborhood and decided to check out Della for our anniversary. It has a wonderful atmosphere, the staff is friendly, and, most importantly, the food is amazing! I had the roasted eggplant, and I could eat that dish every day. We will definitely be going back.

Went back to Della tonight. Still liking it but kinda uneven. First: completely skipped over for the little olives they bring. Ordered the duck wings… no no no. A lovely sauce can’t make up for the rubberized tiny morsels. Tough and while a nice idea, some change in prep is needed. Not gonna visit those again. The lamb ribs were just ok. My decaf was at best luke warm. Hubby’s coffee kinda weak. Not their strong suit, maybe a change in brand and some attention to service to ensure a drinkable temp. Now the good: The mackerel app was lovely. Saffron chorizo pasta nice and the chocolate flour less absolutely perfect. we live so close so we will definitely be back but have crossed a couple of things off the list. Staff needs to be more attentive.

Court street faves(Frankie’s, Prime M, Buttermilk) now have competition in quiet Windsor Terrace. Don’t be unsold by the exterior – the interior architecture, with its concave ceiling, makes you feel like you’re entering a private culinary grotto. Generous bar space makes for comfortable seating/eating(my favorite«table» seating. Friendly faces from the hood promised a warm, welcoming experience. But down to business… I wish we had been ravenous to let us sample more of the menu, which is varied and interesting. As it was, we started with a bitter greens salad with a bacon vinaigrette. The salad was simple and perfectly dressed, and surprise, without kale, goat cheese or pistachios! I ordered the pappardelle with duck ragu, and it was delicious! The pasta was silky and delicate, but just a little too delicate for the amount of hearty ragu. But who’s complaining?!! The ragu itself was absolutely yummy, with intense flavor and spot-on texture. My dining partner had the short rib, cooked perfectly but with a slight bitter flavor to the sauce that was unexpected, but in the end satisfying. The dessert selection was extremely tempting, but we took housemade donuts home for the kids – more like beignets – and they were a hit. We look forward to sampling much more of the menu in meals to come! Go, go!(Just leave us two seats at the bar.)

FANTASTIC. It hasn’t been open too long, but my wife & I have already eaten there 3x and had a great experience each time. Food is awesome(huge thumbs up for the short ribs), music is fun, ambiance is stellar. Perfect for a date or a group of friends. Oh, and the cocktails are crazy(in a good way).

So happy Della opened up in our neighborhood. The cocktails are absolutely delicious. Try the Queen of Clubs or the Hellblazer. Absolutely perfect. The pappardelle with duck ragu was wonderful, as was the baby octopus appetizer. The staff and owner are very friendly and welcoming. Can’t say enough good things.

Great newcomer to the neighborhood. They have done a beautiful job with a small space. We have eaten here twice and both times the food has been excellent. I recommend the fried oysters and chicken liver to start. We also liked the pasta with pork belly and the short ribs. The best tables are in the front; the back room looks cramped and lacks charm. On our second visit our waitress was brisk in an off-putting way but otherwise everyone who works there was lovely. They don’t serve bread or anything to nibble on while waiting for your appetizer so don’t arrive starving. Good wine list and okay beers.

Went to Della for the first time this Wednesday — couldn’t be happier about this addition to the neighborhood! The décor is absolutely beautiful, with a train like, dome feel going on. They really utilized the space with the small booths on the side. I also love the sleek bar and gorgeous wooden stools. FOOOOOOD :) — For apps we had the fried oysters and chicken liver mousse. BOTHAMAZING. Do not leave this place without trying those oysters! The plate is beautiful and super creative and they are just yum in your tum for real! For entrees we both had pasta — The duck pappardelle and pork belly carbonara. I want them both again, right now! The pappardelle was fantastic, light sauce with a little crunch to it… MMMMMMM. And for dessert we had the doughnuts — super delish, tiny goodness to end the meal just right. I’ll finish this up with our drinks — I had a few glasses of their cava which was great. My bf asked for a rye manhattan and it was by far one of the best I’v ever had. The cocktail menu looked innovative and inspired and I can’t wait to try them all! Service was on point and the staff seemed very friendly and laid back. Needless to say, we will be back, OFTEN. This place is a must!!!

The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, every bite of the food out-of-this-world, service stellar and amazing cocktails. We have been waiting for this place to open for months, hoping it would be a culinary addition WT could be proud of and we were not disappointed. Worth the trip from out of the neighborhood and now a regular dining spot for those of us in the ‘hood.

I don’t usually write reviews, but my experience at this new restaurant was so overwhelmingly fantastic I am making an exception. I came with 5 other friends. We had a reservation, but some people arrived early and some a little late. The restaurant was extremely accommodating, offering to seat us without the remainder of our party or allow us to keep hanging at the bar as long as we wanted. The bartender was attentive and friendly, while making fantastic, well-balanced cocktails. I tried 3 throughout the night and we’ll be going back for more. Once we were seated, the server was very friendly and patient with 6 people trying to figure out the most optimal order. Since we were all fairly hungry and everything looked so good we eventually decided to bite the bullet and order one of everything on the menu. The food was coursed out perfectly, and the server and runners were really great at accommodating or huge order, checking in regularly to switch out dishes on the table and replace drinks and settings. All of the food was delicious. Some universal favorites at the table were the fried oysters, duck wings, bagna cauda, pappardelle, roast chicken, and cacciucco. Seriously, I could bathe in the broth from the cacciucco, a sentiment that was shared by others at the table.(I also really enjoyed the chicken liver mousse, and found the portion to be extremely generous.) Our meal lasted a long time, and we pretty much closed down the restaurant. The staff and management were incredibly patient and sweet about this, making no effort to rush us out, and dismissing our apologies. Overall, pretty much everything about this experience was perfect, which is extra impressive considering how recently the restaurant opened. No growing pains here! Oh, and for every single dish on the menu(including dessert) and 15 – 18 drinks, the bill came out to $ 460 – 70. Basically, this place completely rocks. I’m almost afraid to ruin my access to it in the future with this rave!

Wow. This place is really a find. It’s a neighborhood restaurant with a real warm and romantic feel, a lot of personality AND really delicious food — I thought they didn’t make these anymore.(It’s the kind of place that you just can’t find anymore in Manhattan, alas, but totally worth the trip out to BK). On top of that, the food is maybe the biggest surprise — it’s actually really good and well priced, and the menu really inventive. The cacchuchio(fish soup) is such a surprise — full of flavor. And I’d never had anything like the saffron tagliatelle before. The hanger steak was also perfectly prepared. Killer cocktails — the bartender is quirky and makes highly creative and delicious concoctions that don’t feel like they’re trying too hard. And the owners have put together a really diverse wine list that’s totally affordable. Really excited about this place.

As a local on the block, we’ve been very excited and interested to see this place open for a while! I’m so glad it’s finally a new addition to our little nook of Windsor Terrace. Today is my first time popping in and upon first impression I can say it’s a beautiful bar and restaurant with friendly staff/owners, warm and inviting lighting, comfortable and varied seating options as well as an open kitchen so you can see the chef/cooks in action.(Which I personally always like) I’ve only had cocktails(Try the Jack Shape Blazer or the Pineapple Dark & Stormy) but the food around me looks and smells amazing. They also offered olives for snacking as you wait. I’m one of the rare few who would decline this offer but I know most would totally dig it. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

A cozy hidden gem in Windsor Terrace! So conveniently located by the subway and as soon as you enter, you’re drawn in by a welcoming greeting by the owner, the bustle at the bar with the performance-prone bartender, and the amber lighting diffused by the wood barrel ceiling. But what really brought me here was Chef Eric. I had previously enjoyed Chef Eric’s cooking through the dinner club, Empire Taste Club, and was so happy to finally try his new restaurant! Now to the food! We started with the Bagna Cauda and Fried Oysters for appetizers. The Bagna Cauda was a sophisticated dish with the freshest radishes and a delicious anchovy dipping sauce that we couldn’t stop eating! The fried oysters were fat and juicy and so artfully presented with caviar and greens. I had the Saffron Tagliatelle for my main. The homemade pasta was the perfect level of chewiness and the sauce was rich and hearty. A perfect winter dish! Windsor Terrace is lucky to have such a wonderful new addition to the neighborhood. Will definitely come back to try more dishes!

What a welcome addition to the neighborhood! Elliott, who seems to run the front, is delightful and has a great disposition. The food was all very fresh, perhaps a bit under-seasoned, but maybe that’s just me. Each dish has its own unique twist, for instance the couscous served with the chicken was larger than normal and so delicious. And the chicken was so juicy. We also tried the tagliatelle, which was amazing. They managed to do a creamy sauce that wasn’t too heavy. Eggplant was also on the menu, and the chickpea panelle was the special ingredient. Actually, that entire dish was really delicious and interesting, and for vegetarians, and probably vegans, it’s a great option. I’ve never had eggplant prepared like that, I thought I’d really miss the breadcrumbs,(I didn’t) and it was so satisfying. Why four stars? A certain waiter could use a breath mint. That, and uneven service throughout the night, which is sure to improve with time. The atmosphere was also really unique, with the majority of the restaurant nestled under a cove, giving one the feeling of dining in a train. If you’re feeling adventurous and can sit near the kitchen, I highly recommend the high tables, because you can watch them prepare the dishes, a real treat, because this chef is an artist. Trust me, the prices are totally reasonable for the delights that are coming from that kitchen!

The food is literally so good. The atmosphere is beautiful too. Candlelit setting and very intimate booths. I’ve had the salad which was so good, and the butternut squash ravioli! So delish. The bartender is pretty awesome too. My waiter Taylor was very nice, welcoming and helpful. Will 100% be back. Wonderful addition to the neighborhood.

Awesome new spot! The staff is friendly and the space has been designed beautifully. The chicken liver mousse is one of the best I’ve had, also their hand made pasta will make you never want the box again! I devoured the hanger steak. It was cooked perfectly, simply delicious. Very excited for this spot to open and was definately worth the anticipation of opening day!

We are always very excited when a new restaurant opens in Windsor Terrace so we couldn’t wait to dine at Della’s. We were pleasantly surprised to find the place very busy on Sunday evening! The décor is very nice and the tight space utilized very well. The food was very good and priced right for the area. My husband tried the Cosmopolitan recommended by a very friendly and knowledgeable bartender and it was absolutely amazing! i am not a big fan of those as they are usually too sweet but this one was just perfect! My only complain is the fact that we had to wait for our entrees for an hour and a half and we had ordered fish and steak; two dishes that don’t require a lot of time to prepare. I am hoping these are just new restaurant kinks and it will get better as we would love to come back.

We had a truly lovely experience. The menu is inspired and the food was just delicious. My husband had the hangar steak and I had hake(a welcome substitution from branzino) with lentils with bacon and pickled tomatoes and charred lemon. Both dishes were incredibly earthy and yet zesty and the meat and fish were very fresh. We really dug the lovely Roman bartender, he’s the kind of guy who draws people into the place like a magnet. Even if we’d had a less than stellar experience(thankfully not the case), his presence would have likely impelled us to try the place a second time. Our waiter was also warm, friendly, and well-informed. I met one of the owners and she was a very convivial host. I commended her on the creative cocktail list(must try next time) and her wine list(the price points as well as the impressive range of the offerings) and she let me know that they made a point of offering most selections for $ 8 and $ 9 and I thought my savignon blanc was very good at that price point(if a tad shrill). These guys are smart because people who move to this neighborhood are savvy consumers and slightly frugal(or they would have moved up the hill) and I feel like we will reward a quality place that doesn’t gouge us by frequenting and publicizing it, but I digress. my husband had a gentle and tasty Polish-style pilsner. The price of the food was what I would call moderate/low for the quality and whimsy of the menu and the sweet ambiance. There’s a backyard that will be great in the spring and the place is just too sex for our homely neighborhood, it’s a complete winner!

So happy this place opened in Windsor Terrace. Atmosphere and food are a bit fancier than the other options nearby. The chef is great and his food presentation skills are tops. This is definitely a good spot for a date. I’ve already been a few times and have tried the bronzino, the squash ravioli and the Caccuchio(fish stew). The bronzino is cooked perfectly with a crispy skin and flaky flesh. Portion size was very nice. They serve it on a bed of black lentils, which adds a nice variation to a simple fish. This is my favorite dish so far. The squash ravioli is awesome — the brown butter sauce makes the dish. The Caccuchio is a combination of shell fish and white fish in a broth. There was a tiny pasta in the broth making it into a nice soup once I polished off the fish. I just wish it had been served with bread for dipping. I’ve also tried the radish appetizer. It was a bit strange to me, but the dipping sauce that it came with was really delicious. Like the Caccuchio, I wish they served a bit more bread for dipping in the sauce. Prices for entrees are high teens to low twenties, pretty reasonable. I think the décor needs a special mention because most restaurants nearby have a much more casual feel. Della has dim light, beautiful woodwork, and definitely feels more adult. Most of the seating accommodates small groups, which adds to the«date night» atmosphere. The bartender is particularly knowledgeable and creative. The owner said you could just give him a base liquor and he would make a delicious drink. As a joke I asked for a «rum on fire» and what I received was truly unique. In the past few years, this area of has gotten a few new beer halls and whiskey bars. It’s nice to now have a place that makes a great cocktail! For desert they have homemade donuts. Fresh, crispy outside, soft inside with lemon, chocolate and jelly.
