Hampton Inn & Suites Baltimore/Woodlawn

I’ve stayed at a fair few Hampton Inn’s and this one was pricier than the others which raised my expectations somewhat. While the room was quite large, it wasn’t significantly larger than most of the rooms I have stayed in at this chain and it certainly couldn’t be describes as a «suite» by anyone’s standards. It was clean and comfortable and there are plenty of outlets for all the computer gadgets we all carry around these days.
The lady who checked me in was very nice and friendly. The other staff I met after that, not so much. Nobody was rude, but it was hard to get anyone to make eye contact. There were a couple of problems with the room that I noticed that I didn’t complain about because they were not bothersome enough to make it worth my while making a fuss but it does make me think that nobody is really paying attention and inspecting the rooms in between stays. My coffee maker did not work. It simply boiled the water to death, but never actually transferred said boiling water into my pitifully empty cup. The other thing that wasn’t working was the office chair height lever was broken. I left broken coffee out and left the two cushions I needed to be able to reach the desk in place hoping that staff would notice both were broken when they cleaned the room. Nope, they just emptied out the water from the broken coffee pot and put it back, and left the pillows in place on the broken chair.
Location is really great in a quiet spot just off the main drag.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights visiting from out of town. This hotel was UNBEATABLE! Absolutely, 100% GREAT! Out of all the hotels in the area, this place had the best price, too! The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. The furniture and amenities seemed new. Every morning was a delicious, free continental breakfast with a great variety. They had a pool and an ELITE workout facility. It had free weights, medicine balls, 4 machines and a universal lifting machine. In the evening, the hotel even served fresh baked cookies! After I checked out, they had goodie bags for guests. That was so cool. Surrounding the hotel, was a mall and several restaurants within a short drive. I would 100% recommend this place!
