Not the best candle wood i have stayed at. No mention of my platinum status. No extra points I do appreciate the breakfast voucher though. Unfortunately smells of pets. Loud guests. Unfriendly staff but a great location and decent value.

I rated this three stars only because good condition of hotel and close proximity to airport. Physical facilities such as room, bathroom, bed, etc. in reasonable shape; I did not use gym so cannot comment on that. Do not know if there is pool; did not use. Great cable channel selection. Business center has two computers with internet access; first printer had no paper; the second printer had no ink. Poor staff service; I am platinium rewards member; called the day before check in to request for room facing OLDCOUNTRYROAD. At check in told only one room was available, right next to laundry and facing parking lot on ground floor. Lady at reception during check in was curt and rather discourteous, with the attitude that if you want to stay here, take what I give else do not come back. [I will not]. The rest of the staff take up on that attitude. All other IHG hotels I have stayed in have been able to provide a better room location. Fortunately, it was not too bad, just some shouting in parking lot at night and noise from air planes due to airport proximity. No oven in kitchen so asked for toaster oven [was easily able to get that in other Candlewood locations]; told there were only two and one was given out and the other had no shelves so cannot be used. Really? You are charging $ 109+ every night for every room and you cannot spend $ 30 to buy a toaster oven from Walmart? Gives five dollar credit for breakfast but all that gets you is a small cup of cereal and smallest carton of milk [you pay extra for everything else]. One of the two bulbs in bathroom was burnt out.

After a long day of travel the Candlewood Suites made their amenities available late night. Called as we headed to baggage claim at Bradley Int. at 11:30pm and booked our room at an affordable price. At arrival we were greeted positively and given our room keys. Given a coupon for breakfast goods in their pantry and reluctant to receive a free wifi password with high speed internet THATWORKS! When heading into our room we were surprised to see a room with a full size fridge, dishwasher, and flat top stove. Absolutely stunning and nothing I’ve ever seen. Clean bedding and bathrooms and flat screen tv with cable for our entertainment. Customer service is excellent. Rooms are clean. Wifi is fast. Highly recommend if in the area.

We stayed here for two weeks as we just relocated to CT. This is a very good place for business or personal stay. The rooms are neat and clean. The kitchen is well equipped and they do provide good cookware. The staff is really helpful. The free laundry and gym is a really great add-on. We were also given few free coupons to their Cupboard store. The free DVD/Book renting service is nice as they have a good collection of family movies. Overall a very good experience, would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Stayed overnight to complete 1 of 4 nights I need for IHG’s Big Win promo this year. Yes, I am one of those crazy points & miles people… The room is pretty large and well-appointed. It comes with a small kitchen in the corner by the entryway, equipped with pots & pans, plates & bowls, even a toaster oven with utensils. A bag of popcorn was waiting in the microwave. Comy bed and the shower was nice and hot. Check-in was seamless and I was very lucky and grateful to get a room at 9am — that was really nice of the front desk lady. As a PriorityClub member, I got a free spin on the wheel they have at the desk which netted me a free soda in their cupboard. I was also given a $ 5 voucher to spend, which surprisingly went pretty far. Canned drinks are $ 0.75(bottled Snapple is $ 2), frozen entrees are $ 4 but they had instant yakisoba and other ready-made foods for $ 1.75−2.00. I also got a Cliff bar for $ 1.75. Check-out was not as seamless since their computer froze up. I also found I was supposed to ask in advance for the airport shuttle for my 9am flight, even though they advertise a 24-hour shuttle. Not really a problem since they called over the LAZ-Fly shuttle van within 10 minutes, but it was a little irksome how the girl working the desk made it seem like a favor. However, overall it was a great stay with large, impeccably clean rooms and nice little perks & conveniences to make your stay a but cushier.

I have stayed here numerous times. From a couple days to 2 weeks at a time and they are very very hospitable. Big bathroom, full fridge, 2 burners and a good sized microwave, they even leave popcorn ready to be popped! They have a grill outside, free to use. Nice big hd TV, good sized closet, cheap laundry. The pantry is like having a little store very close. The people at the front desk Are very nice. I love staying here. I will be back!

Cozy place with all the necessities. I’d move in for good if I lived in the area. Rooms have everything you need, gym is adequate, pool is under utilized, and staff are friendly. They also have an on-site convenience«store» where you can get a late night snack or a toiletry item you may have forgotten. The location is right across from the airport and you can see planes flying very low overhead, but you hardly hear them, which is nice. They recently changed TV service and I’m very impressed with the number of HD sports channels they provide — NFL Network, MLB Network, Tennis Channel, Golf Channel, NBATV, NHL Network, NBC Sports, Comcast Sports Net, etc. There are decent restaurants in the area, and even a bowling alley next door. Rooms have a full-size fridge, dishwasher, microwave, and cooktop. Oh, and free wifi and free coffee all day and night.

Decent place. Rooms are good size. Across the street from the airport. Several hotels here… i stayed at a few and really like this one. It is set away from the road and doesnt seem as noisy as the others. Plane sounds are minimal for airport closeness… which is relly nice. — MSZ

Flying into BDL(Bradley International Airport) in CT? Then stay here at the Candlewood Suites! Not only are they conveniently located next to the Airport, with no bleed sound from jets, it’s next to a bunch of restaurants and a bowling ally! Other perks are they have what seem to me to be like studio apartments fitted to be like hotel rooms not the other way around. I have a fridge, dish washer, microwave and 27″ TV and a queen size bed; granite countertops are what I have to lay my toothbrush and razor on and the have great amenities: — 24 hour FREE Laundry facility(detergent and dryer sheets are .75 each) — 24 hour open pantry(with snacks, drinks and other things a traveler might need) — A gym(with one of each: Treadmill, Bicycle, Weight Machine, and Elliptical) — A Pool, that looks like it’d be great to swim in(I was there for a night and needed sleep) — Great Customer Service(On the fly they got me a room that was a decent price($ 85 for a night) with all of the fixins in the room. I’d stop here again anytime I’m in New England area. Enjoy!
