Where do I begin in reviewing this awful experience!?! During the World Cup Mountain Bike Events last month, I chose this restaurant as a nice centrally located spot for a good Italian meal. I was very wrong! I had a very bland linguine in white clam sauce that was clearly canned and not fresh clams which was very disappointing. My husband had a pasta dish as well. The menu stated it was served with a salad, which we were served and we grazed through. When the bill came, we were each charged 8.95 for our«free» salad, and even scarier(and shadier) was the three 3.50 charges for water. That’s right, they charged us for tap water!!! Of course, we questioned the bill, and were told the waitress was«new», and the $ 25.40 was removed from our bill for the two free salads and three glasses of tap water. A new waitress would never unilaterally chose a price for water, and it was clear she was instructed to hike bills that week because the usually dead restaurant was hopping with mountain biker business, and they were trying to seize the moment in profits. Most Europeans that were in for the races would never question the water fee, as it is somewhat customary in Europe to have water charged… but not in America… FORTAP!!! Little did they know, we were locals, and they lost what would otherwise be regular and very good customers. With canned clams and rip-off strategies, it’s no wonder why the restaurant is always empty!

The owner of this establishment is an absolute maniac! Many years ago, I received sour cheese on my pizza and another person who was accompanying me became ill. More recently, I accidentally was provided the phone number for Zerega’s via Google as there is another pizza parlor in Windham which bares a very similar name. I did not realize how the irresponsible, teenage valley girl answering the phone stated the name of the business, so I placed my order. When I arrived at the other establishment who’s pizza I greatly enjoyed, I discovered they were closed. Feeling as though I was in the Twilight Zone, I rang back Zerega’s and requested to cancel my order and informed them that I had accidentally placed it with the wrong business in town. The girl said she would cancel it. However, a few minutes later, a very irate and threatening owner called me back and told me that if I did not come pick up and pay for my order that it was Theft of Services and he was going to call the local police and have them search me down for the money! I tried to explain and get it through his head that it is not Theft of Services if the food is still sitting in his restaurant, but he did not want to listen. So, out of fear for my safety, I paid for my order over the phone via credit card but did not pick it up as I refuse to eat such rubbish! The only conclusion I can come to as to how this man remains in business is that he must have the Board of Health paid off. The owner should be fined and his establishment shut down!

This place sucks. Nothing here is good. Even the French fries suck and that’s hard to do. Service is also awful.

OK I’ll cut to the chase first, don’t bother with this place, go somewhere else. We turned up there around 8.00pm on what was probally the most busiest weekend of the summer in Windham, and there were only about 4 sets of customers there. As we entered we told(Not asked) to sit anywhere. That should have been the sign to turn around and leave, but we didn’t. The one waitress was both not very efficient or organized and while we waited to order noticed one set of customers coming in from the outside asking for additional stuff, like forks, like plates etc. Then another customer next to us just sat his table waiting for over 20 minutes for the tab to be taken. Another came in and paid his tab there in front of the kitchen. Now the food, well my son had a salad, but we sent it back as the lettuce was brown and soggy, then the waitress just rearranged the lettuce from another prepared one with his in front of us. The bread is warmed in the micro wave in the resturant in full view of you. When placing the order the communication was difficult to say the least, and we got a very poor meal. A veggie pizza with unkown stuff on it and very cheesy. The owner was just walking around and grunting at the next group of customers who came in to sit anywhere and complained they were out of food etc. The couple on our next table had the same experience and went into the kitchen to cancel their order and got a very poor pizza as well. Stay away from this place and leave it to the locals who maybe accept the very poor standard of service and low quality food. Oh and by the way it ain’t cheap there either!

Absolutely awful. We ordered a pie there yesterday and had to throw it out once we got home. Opened the pizza box to a smell of old, bad cheese. Gross.

This place has been here for years. It’s nothing special and the slices come in funky shapes. It was the only pizza place in town for many years. I remember going to the original location back in the 80’s. Arcade games and pizza!
