Shield System Car Wash

I got the basic car wash because I could not find a list while in line. The earliest I saw a list of options was right before you enter the wash. By then I’ve already been asked to pay. Drying service wasn’t that great so my car was all spotty when I left.

This is the best car wash place in the area. Unless you do a hand wash or full detailing, do not expect perfection. For what these guys do, they are amazing. Most importantly they are friendly and do not try to upsell you with everything.
Don’t go to the scrubs.

I paid extra for rims and tires and they didn’t do a great job. I’m not exactly sure what I paid extra for. It looked the same as when I don’t pay the extra.
In addition, they don’t have a rain policy like most places.
The weather channel showed no rain for the next few days, but it down poured for 5 min midday. I asked to bring the car back in (only 3 hours after I had the car washed) and they refused.
I was going to bring my car in for a detail this month, but given the average quality of work and lack of customer focus, I’d rather not.
Little things go a long way with customers, but they don’t seem to care.

Dont go beyond the minimum detail package. Got two cars detailed in one week. First one i was turning in so i didnt care too much. Min pkg. Decent job. Second car was the value package for $ 100. Didnt seem to get all the dust and in the nooks and crannies in the console and front of interior. Trunk was not cleaned very well either. And they took the car apart but didnt seem to pit everything back organized. Only reason it is not a one star is that the owner seems like a decent enough guy.

While in Winchester today I went on Unilocal to find the closest car wash, up came Shield System Car Wash 1 mile away. I figured I’d try it since my car looked like a dust ball.
When I arrived there were about 6 cars were ahead of me. Not to bad considering it was a beautiful day, When I reached the men I asked it they took Debit cards they said yes. So from then on everything went very smooth. It is very easy to pull your car into the car wash the staff was helpful and my car looks great… I will go back. for sure!

This is by far the best car wash in the area. I have never had a disappointing experience here. Usually I get the Spring special when they have it, but last time I went in and got the 20 $ (15 $ with Unilocal check-​in) #1 best wash. The car came out sparkling, with no water spots.
They also have the vacuums that are run with quarters (which are the same as most carwashes) and interior cleaning available, but which I haven’t had a chance to try as there is always a long line ahead of me when I inquire about it.

My review is based solely on the fact that you cannot book a appointment for detailing. It is first come first served only. I assume there are some times when they have empty bays, appointments would fill them. For me, my schedule is limited and I need an appointment. My business is going elsewhere.

I recently went in for their $ 20 #1 best wash. I usually went there for their basic wash but due to the harsh winter i decided to try their most expensive service. Upon coming out from the car wash i saw splashes of wax on the side and the back passenger side window. Upon further inspection when i arrived at my work parking lot, i was so shocked to see there were splashes of wax everywhere. My initial thought was to wipe it down myself when i reached home in the evening. Unfortunately it couldn’t be removed with a simple wipe. So i decided to call shield system and spoke to Edgar. He was so helpful and offered me a rewash. I brought my car in for a rewash. Initially i just wanted the basic wash as i was worried i will run into the same problem. The employees there reassured me it will be fine. I decided to give it another try. This time the car came out way better although there were still spots of wax (less severe) on my car. I will definitely go back again!

WORST car wash and customer service!!! I went in this past weekend and got the most expensive wash, $ 20 for wash, wax, dry, the works. My car came out still soaking wet, parts that were dry were all water spots and all four doors were covered in a cloud from the wax. Also, there are several scratches on it. It is a brand new car, a month old, and those scratches were not there before. I called and left five mesages this weekend as well as an email and not one repsonse. Awful customer service too!

On the hottest day today… I had the premium interior car detail and ultimate wax services on my Mercedes (older model). Made the appointment and dropped the car off prior to 9 a.m., (they like the car for the day – to let the carpet dry) and was met by Edgar, the manager, who couldn’t have been nicer. I felt very comfortable leaving the vehicle and was assured he would call me when it was completed.
Received the call as promised. I was so impressed by the results – beautiful clean leather — and the friendly customer service, that it warrants and deserves the 5 stars.
Paper floor mat used, as the mats were in the trunk and was advised to leave them out a bit longer to dry. They found pen, tape ruler, under the seat and put it in a baggy.
I notice others mention prices… while I don’t use the car wash… the price for the premium interior detail and hand-​wax, is so well worth it! My car feels and looks like new!

I love this car wash company. They have long hours of operation, and there are always very friendly employees on staff. I do wish the prices were cheaper, but I buy the books of washes to get one free wash. I would be here once a week if I could afford it! The company has more than one location which is great (my home store is the one on Boston Road in Billerica) and they do offer an unlimited wash option (but it is expensive). They also offer exterior and interior washes, waxes, and cleans. I love this place (weird I know) but I love a clean car!!!

I had my car washed, vacuumed and the carpet shampooed and was all around pleased. The team was finished faster than expected and the guy I worked was friendly and informative. He really seemed to care, which even he didn’t, shows great customer service!
For the price it was a great choice!

My husband and I have been taking our cars to Shield System Car Wash for years and we love it. They have an area where you can vacuum and clean out your car yourself and then they have a drive through car wash. Our cars always come out clean — no issues (despite how dirty they are before hand).
I don’t have any experience with Sheild’s interior detailing so I cannot comment on those services.
Oh — and for you Unilocalers — if you check in you get a $ 5 off coupon that you can use if you show them your phone! I used it today when I went and was thrilled!
I would highly recommend this place and will continue to take our cars there.

These guys were great. The car wash attendants were super-​friendly and cheerful. Car wash itself might be a little assertive — I have an older car, and it got a little over-​scrubbed where the paint was delicate, but in general it looks very nice, and the price was good ($ 9). Also got the basic interior detailing — they were very nice, when I told them I had a time crunch they worked very fast, and the car looks great. I will use them again.

The car wash is great and even better since they implemented an unlimited wash system where I can pay a monthly fee and wash when I want. I’m a real estate agent and want my car clean, they do a great job at a reasonable price!

This place is great. The customer service here is perfect — from the moment I pulled up the guys were attentive, took my car right in for a detail, which was very reasonably priced. I waited in the waiting room, which had wireless access and got some work done, and my car was as clean as it was when I bought it.
Because of the speed, pleasant staff and excellent quality of the detailing, I will come here again and again.

Same as every other car wash you’ve ever been to. It does a pretty decent job cleaning your car. Just remember to take off your antanae before you enter or it will do it for you…

Shield is the best cahhh wash around metro Boston.
There’s also a Jiffy lube there so you can wash your car and get service at the same time.
I recently had a interior detail done on my car and they did a great job. They also have carpet shampoo service as well. The drive through has decent prices and it is pretty fast even when its busy. They run the place pretty well. There’s a 24 hour vaccuum center as well to vaccuum out your car with the hoses.
