I work right next door, so it’s easy to head over there and get some lunch. The workers there are always so sweet, really have that southern sweetness. And the food is so good, but the bbq sauce is my favorite.

I’ve visited twice. If you are lucky enough to get there when they have brisket available it is very good. I’ve tried different sides and haven’t really found any that thrilled me. More sauce choices would be preferable but those available are good. I haven’t tried the free ice cream. Prices are on the high end. I will go back but not too frequently.

This is the greatest bbq place in our area. We drive from West Virginia just to eat here! They catered our wedding and everyone raved about it all! The onion tanglers and Cole slaw are sooo amazing! Good prices and the employees are always super nice! Love it!!! Can’t say enough good things!!! =)

This was pretty decent barbecue. The only disappointment was that the only option for sauces were all Texas based. My fiancé and I prefer a Carolina based sauce. Besides that the meat was right on point. The large sides are more like smalls to be honest and overall everything was a bit overpriced for what you get. In the end we will probably be back for another visit in the future.

First time the family ate here. Have seen it has been open for a while but never tried it out. Glad we finally ate here as the food was really good. All of the meats and sides are very good. My little one liked the free ice cream even more. Lastly, I think it’s good when the employees come around to see how the food is. This is some small that an establishment can do to make sure that they customers have their bestest experience at their establishment. Will be back soon!

They refute any mobile coupons despite the ability to type in the code, which is not directly stated in the email. This issue is accompanied by the obious lack of motivation and cell phone use in front of waiting customers. More like DICK-ey’s

My husband and I have eaten here many times, ¾ of which being pretty good. We ate here Sunday for lunch, 1÷25÷15. I had the brisket and chicken(which I hadn’t tried yet) and he had the pulled pork and turkey. All of our meats were cold. My macaroni and cheese wasn’t warm and it tasted and looked days old. The only things that were good were our fries and rolls. 9pm rolled around. and we were both terribly ill. We both were sick all night, till around lunch time the following day. Food poisoning. We didn’t think much of the temperature of the meat at the time, but when my husband googled it, there’s bacteria in meat that isn’t kept at the right temperature. We hadn’t eaten anything else the entire day except at Dickey’s, so we know that’s what caused the food poisoning. We called the health department and reported it– there were so many kids eating there when we were in– I hate to think they got that sick too! The food has always been so-so, and we’ve grudgingly dealt with the way over pricing for the TINY bit of meat they give. But, it’s safe to say we will never eat there again after this weekend!

Visited Dickey’s with a friend on a Friday afternoon for lunch. I had been to Dickey’s before in other locations but this was my friend’s first time. I had the Pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious. The checkout process was smooth and we had our food in about five or six minutes. As a side I had the fried okra and cole slaw, okra was absolutely worth coming back for and the cole slaw was also good. I love that you can help yourself to the famous sauces at the condiment bar. Great experience, will be back.

I read a lot of reviews about dickey’s before i came. But I really wanted to try I out for my self. This is what I think about dickey’s. The food was ok, all the meats I ordered were cold, I also ordered the fried okra and it was quite delicious. All in all the place was over priced, and it seemed like a fast food BBQ.

Dickeys=Don’t Waste/Money I begrudgingly give Dickies a 2nd star rating. It’s not like it is terrible but I can make way better barbecue at home. I’m not bragging I just follow the Cooks Illustrated recipes. I guess what I’m saying is lower expectations so your not disappointed. Ok let’s dust for prints: Polish Sausage=Good But Cold Turkey=Very Good Brisket=Relatively Dry/Not Very Flavorful Pulled Pork=Not Very Flavorful/Dry Ribs=Dry/Seemed Like They Were Old Chicken=Not Available Cole Slaw=If They Make it Themselves They Should Buy It Marconi and Cheese=Cold/Stouffer’s is Better Baked Beans=Uneventful We went at 1pm so I don’t understand the cold/dry food or being out of things. I think it’s best to avoid chains in general Dickies didn’t do anything to change my mind. Otherwise service was fast food-like. The place was clean.

This is a cool little BBQ joint! The fried okra, pulled pork BBQ sandwich and the pecan pie all hit the spot. I thought it was kind of funny that they are located next to Cold Stone and offer free soft serve ice cream to their customers. No need to go next door… that was some really good ice cream — vanilla! Yum! The location is probably keeping them from being super busy since it is not a real large spot. The tables are tiny and there aren’t many. Otherwise, this spot is great!

Have been here twice, and also have had them cater to my work for a lunch meeting. Good food, prices are reasonable, I don’t mind the slight wait for food when I go in because then you know it is fresh and not sitting out all day to taste stale and cool in temperature. Only thing I wish they did differently(and this goes for a LOT of other BBQ joints too), is to cook their meat in the sauce so it sets in and has more flavor instead of having where you add it on after the fact.

After leaving my last review Dickeys asked that I report my experience to their customer satisfaction website which I did. I was called by this locations manager with in an hour. She was very apologetic and wanted to make things right she explained that they had staffing issues that she was working to correct. We went back today and everyone was nice and focused on customer service we had no problems at check out food was very good just still a bit slow. I wouldn’t want to try to go there on a work lunch hour but defiantly when you have time to spend.

I’m fortunate that I get to travel the east coast for work and I’m always on the search for great BBQ. With the good comes the bad and Dickey’s was… bad. I was surprised right off the bat that their prices are 10−20% higher than comparable BBQ places in larger cities like Baltimore, New York and Boston. Even so, I might overlook the prices if the food were better. I tried a rib and brisket combo with baked beans and coleslaw. The ribs were perfectly tender and quite juicy, but didn’t have the best taste and weren’t very meaty. The brisket was dry, overly chopped up and a very small portion. The sides were even more disappointing. The baked beans tasted like Campbell’s with some added seasoning that I couldn’t pinpoint and the coleslaw tasted just like KFC or store bought. I wasn’t even a fan of the bread. Where’s the cornbread? The southern sweet tea wasn’t even sweet. Very disappointing.

Best BBQ within driving distance of 22601. well the meats anyway! The sides are so-so but tolerable… I have to remember its fast food and not expect too much there. great BBQ though and and excellent value for your $$$$. I wouldn’t bother with BBQ anywhere else.

They really hyped this place up over here. I ate here for the first time tonight. I had the ribs, sausage, as well as the beans with bacon and mac and cheese for side dishes(they give you pickles and bread too, along with onions, but I didn’t get the onions). It really is okay. Very much, okay. The ribs were alright, but my sausage was cold, and quite bland as well. The macaroni cheese tasted right out of Boston Market container, and the beans and bacon were a bit overrated. I could’ve gotten the same thing at Cracker Barrel and enjoyed the taste the same. The bread is very soft, and the pickles have just the right sourness to them, but I wasn’t a huge fan overall. I guess the free ice cream might’ve enticed me, as well as unlimited drinks, but it is just alright considering it’s take out Southern Barbecue. If you want better Southern Barbecue for your buck, I’d go with Bonnie Blue near downtown. They have better tasting meats and they give you plenty more to stretch your dollar.
