Big Marv’s BBQ

I found this place after breaking down on highway 24. I was towed back to a local dealership and as we passed by the tow truck driver pointed it out and said it was the best brisket he had ever had. So after picking up a rental car we headed over.
The place was kind slow at the time, mostly pick up orders. As we sat down we were immediately seen to by the waitress. As we looked over the menu and were trying to decide. Big Marv came over with a sample of the brisket for us to try. No sooner than we had fell in love with it he came back with a sample of the pulled pork. Also fantastic. My wife and I both went with the brisket. For sides I hade the vinegar slaw and back beans. My wife had the mayonnaise slaw with potato salad. Both the slaws were great, but I have never had better than the vinegar. The beans were very sweet. And the potato salad was loved by my wife (I did not care for it, I prefer traditional) .
While we found this place under bad circumstances, we are currently headed to pick up our car from the repair, a 190 mile each way drive. And the main thing we are looking forward to is trying his ribs or his BBQ this time. With plenty of vinegar slaw.

The girl warned me that Marv was a bit of an ass and within 5 minutes he was being rude to her.
A 300 pound man being hostile to a 90 pound, 18 year old girl.
It’s just unseemly.
