I love love love their Greek salad on pita. I order nothing else. I’ve eaten there and ordered out, service is definitely very basic, get in-get out, bye. Never seen more than 2 women there so the wait can take a bit. And its cash only which is a bit of a pain. Interior is fairly drab, outside tables are nice when its warm. But I will go back for the salad.

The salads are great. The food feels clean and fresh(and obviously tasty) The staff are friendly and decent. As a local who travels a lot, it’s the one place i have to got to when i return from a trip to feel like I’m back at home.

Solid little place. Pretty much everything is pretty good. Waitresses are nice, but can sometimes get overwhelmed during busy times. Favorite of our family is the Chicken Souvlaki.

We have been eating breakfast at this diner as local regulars. However, I have to report a situation that surprises me the Health Department wouldn’t object to. There have been two times when we have been eating when a male person, obviously a family member, walks behind the counter, dumps out a Dunkin Donut large plastic coffee cup that he has obviously used to drink out of, and with his hand dips the used cup in the ice machine and fills it with ice. The first time it happened we were so grossed out we never drank any beverage with ice ever again but continued to be patrons. However, when we were back this week and saw it happen again, and no one that works there raise any objection to this disgusting behavior, we felt we had to write a review to let people know.

Coffee was basically brown water. Hard to go wrong with a sandwich but bread was stale so it ruined the taste. Nothing special about this place, really.

I ordered the chicken salad wrap for lunch and even though I didn’t have super high expectations from a small diner, it still was barely up to par. The chicken salad itself almost had the consistency of tuna salad, very small and over worked to the point that it was more of a mush than chicken mixed with veggies and sauce. The wrap was overflowing, but it was mostly because it was packed with sliced lettuce and a couple tomato slices. The coleslaw was decent. Atmosphere was not bad, definitely a small diner feel with both tables and stools for those that want to sit up front. We ordered take out and then sat inside while we waited for our food. I will say, I think the experience may have been better if we ate in – the fries desperately needed some seasoning or at least some ketchup to dip them. Since I’m not in the area much, I’ll probably not return, the Hunan place across the street was a much better value and taste for lunch.

My «go to» for take out breakfast before heading to the shop. Just make sure you have cash as they don’t take credit/debit cards.

This is a place for comfort food. The pizza and salad are great and they do a terrific diner style breakfast. Have never had a bad meal there. It’s not fancy but it is not trying to be. The people who work there are so friendly that after a while, everyone knows everyone’s name. In fact, a section of one wall is covered in pictures from the many, many holiday cards patrons send in every year! It’s a great place to unwind and have a solid meal.

I grew up in Wilton and this is the best little diner. The Greeks know how to do it here, the pizza, the sandwiches, shakes and fries. It’s all perfect. Great memories of this place :)

The friendliest staff in CT serving great diner fare — chix salad on pita, cheese fries, Greek salad pizza & Morelo’s wrap/sub are tops. 10-year old son is rabid fan of the pizza. Superior food compared to Orems down the street.

I am obsessed with the Greek salad on pita. This review is only on that salad, since it’s all I have ever ordered, and I can almost guarantee it’s all I will ever order. It’s just that good. Huge pita, with huge serving of fresh chopped Greek salad. Lots of feta, lots of tomatoes, lots of yum. Cute diner atmosphere, but also very easy for take out. Warning though, it’s cash only, so be prepared.

Wiltonians tend to rave about this place, but I find it to be merely average. Typical diner type fare, but the prices are high for what it is. Not a place I would go out of my way for, but worth a visit if you’re in downtown Wilton.

It can take way too long to get any service at all(often I’ll wait 5 minutes to be seated even on slow days), and the food is consistently cold by the time it gets to you, or not prepared as your ordered. The staff can be friendly if they know you, but that doesnt improve the service; it just means that you get an earful for 10 minutes while other patrons sit around and wait. The food is overpriced when compared to everything else in the area, and the quality is way too low for what you get.

This place really doesn’t do it for me. Overpriced. Unfriendly service. Food was par at most. Will not be returning.

This is my favorite spot in Wilton when I need a quick bite for any meal. You won’t find a friendlier staff than the good people here. They will become your friend after your first visit and make you feel VIP. I love the gyro as well as the mailman’s grinder. They have a good breakfast anytime of day. If you stop by, treat yourself to Sophie’s homemade rice pudding. It is my favorite. I happened to eat there one day when the rice pudding was still warm from the oven. That was an experience.

Wilton Lunceonette is a great place for lunch or breakfast with the kids. The staff is responsive and attentive. We have been going there since we moved to town 9 years ago

The Village Luncheonette is the best! My family has been going there for years, like most of the regulars. Great food & friendly service.

In Wilton, which has a handful of restaurants, this place is great for breakfast or for lunch. Their Service is always welcoming, the ladies behind the counter are always having conversation with the customers, greeting them and making them feel comfortable. Most of the crowd are regulars with people knowing each other, which for wilton is probably a norm. I have always enjoyed their generous portions of their Omelets with swiss or provolone cheese and mushrooms. Again, the place is bright, usually crowded, great food and a lively environment, which living in Wilton, is a much needed break.
