Overall, an decent experience. More draw backs then positives though. I already have a salon that I use but I just wanted my hair curled for an event. I called and spoke with the manager who said just a curl(I didn’t need my hair washed or dried) would be between $ 20 – 30. Sounded ok to me. I scheduled an appointment and it was a really cute spot. Easily accessible and really enjoyable setting. The stylist was very nice. We had a nice chat and my hair was curled as requested. I’ve had better curl jobs but all-in-all just fine. I questioned whether she was the owner, I just got that notion from her but I didn’t ask. When I went to pay the stylist mouthed something to the manager and I was charged $ 40 for my curls. It was very odd that a stylist would be telling the manager what to charge. And I was being charged nearly double than what I was quoted. I then tipped her an additional $ 8 bringing me to almost $ 50 for a curl! No wash, no dry, nothing. Way too much. Needless to say, not going back was way overcharged for a curl. If that’s what they charge, no problem but don’t quote me something and then charge me way more.

I used a Groupon initially for the blow dry package and was pleasantly surprised with this salon. I since have returned numerous times and really like my hair color AND my haircut. The stylist is great, very friendly and professional. The gal at the front desk is exceptionally efficient and pleasant. I’d highly recommend this salon. I also like the location, very convenient.

I LOVE Triloma! I’m very picky about my hair and how it looks and when I first moved to CT I tried four different salons(which I hated) before I found Triloma! The atmosphere is great and the stylists know what they’re doing! Erin, at the reception desk, is always so friendly! I highly suggest Triloma!

I didn’t love the stylist who worked on me — she didn’t do a good job with the cut. She didn’t spend much time to analyzing my hair type and to see which style fits better for me(that was the purpose of my visit, a style consultation). I went back a couple of days after to have an adjustment in my cut, it was worse. I look like somebody cut my hair with her teeth.

I had a Living Social promotion and ended up with a nice cut and highlights from the deal. The salon is cute and easily accessible off Rt. 7. I didn’t love the products used — I don’t remember the brand, higher end, but just didn’t do anything special for me. I’m a Kerastase lover. I also didn’t love the stylist who worked on me — she did a good job with the color and cut, but wasn’t overly friendly or chatty. And the front desk person had a hard time with the computer to check me in too. All in all a good experience, with a few glitches that could have been better. I’ll probably give them another try and then decide about sticking with them.

Triloma is a beautiful hair salon located on Route 7 within walking distance of the quaint Cannondale shopping area and train station. Professional, calming and caring, the staff at Triloma are second to none. I personally prefer Janet, who cuts my and my family’s hair, but you really can’t lose with any of the stylists there.
