My son and I had a great meal! Great service. Parking was easy peasy! A dream — usually go to TeeJays but last two meals were a bit disappointing and BLAH! Parking at Tee Jays is horrible, too! BUT– we just pulled into Sushi Rock and a minute later, we were seated. Service was great! Food was really good– shrimp dumplings, other appetizers also were great. Son got tuna hand rolls. I am not into fish– but these looked great. Dessert — fried bananas — why not? We usually go to Las Olas Sushi Rock — bit small and a wait. This restaurant is 12 minutes away from Las Olas and it’s sister restaurant by the same name! Worth my drive from DAVIE!!! Hoping to go back tonight!!!

Staff is so sweet. I always order at least 3 rolls that are always made perfectly. Big popper and the pink Floyd are a must.

Great food, EXTREMELYUNDERSTAFFED. There is only one waiter for the ENTIRE restaurant. which is unfair to the patrons and for the workers. Absolutely horrific experience. After we had asked for the check, the waitress told us that it was cash only and that she’d have to write down all of our information to process payment… which they should have stated that before we sat down to eat or put a sign outside… eating out should not be this difficult.

Positive: the service was good, waitress was very friendly Negatives: the food. The food was very boring and very plain. I got chicken teriyaki and it was $ 16 for a plain chicken breast with no flavor and some white rice. My husband got sushi and it was all very plain. I was disappointed in the food, and especially at the price point! For our bill of around $ 70, I definitely expect some flavor in the food.

Good food. I don’t love sushi so I can’t speak for sushi lovers but the udon soup was tasty. My husband had temaki and sushi and he really enjoyed it; said he would like to go back

My favorite go to place for sushi. I go here at least one a week for take out or to dine in. Beautifully decorated inside and way bigger than the small one on Las Olas. There’s always a table available and I don’t have to wait 15 – 30 min for a small crammed table like at Las Olas location. The staff is attentive. The food is amazing! I love the Chili Peppers Roll… it’s to die for

Great service. The sushi is as good and as fresh as the las olas location, and it’s never busy, plus they have a parking lot. Spider roll is awesome. The sashimi super fresh. The tempura banana dessert was really good!

After horrible experience at Tee-Jay with take out. Now go to Gaysha but they close early. Tried Sushi Rock and had a fantastic take out experience. Everything fresh and open late. Would give 5 stars but they need to make the place more attractive. Décor is blah… Try them out!!!

The RHCP roll is my favorite because it has just the right amount of spicy kick. Sushi was fresh and delicious. My wife had the ramen pad Thai and it was a nice rendition of the dish. Lychee saki-tini was very tasty. The service was on point. Very friendly and attentive. I usually go to the Las Olas location but the Wilton Manors spot delivers the same high quality.

It seems to be a hit or miss experience here. I’ve been about 4 times, and quite literally it has been 50% awesome and 50% «wtf happened?» The two occasions that the food was good, the service was also exceptional, both of those times were late afternoon/evening times. The two occasions that the food was questionable, the service was also questionable(like I had better service at McD’s). Both of those times was earlier in the day, so maybe there’s a trend. Would I eat there again? Probably. Will I enjoy it, I’d like to say yes. You get one more go, so another review might be forthcoming.

The atmosphere is… interesting, not necessarily in a good way. Service was extremely slow, food was. average at best. For the price, I wouldn’t be coming back here — there’s much better Sushi in SFL.

DELICIOUS — CONSISTENT — DUSTY. Huh? I’ve been going here for 6 years, and love the house specialty sushi rolls, especially the lobster-filled rock & roll. The place is tiny, so it gets busy fast. The service is efficient enough, and they stay focused on table turnover. The only thing I have trouble ignoring is that the place needs to be scrubbed. There are cobwebs on the blow fish and other ceiling decorations. Ew.

Sushi Rock is my favorite local sushi joint. The fish is always fresh, the staff offers pretty good service(but not as good as Las Olas location). The rolls are delicious! My favorite is the red hot chili pepper. And you need to try the Dynamite seafood appetizer!!! It’s a moral imperative. I’ve been here multiple times and just realized I never reviewed the joint! The only bad thing about this place is parking, for a restaurant this size, they need more than 8 – 9 parking spots(the staff usually get the best ones closest to the door). Hope you got good walking shoes!

A group of us went to Sushi Rock on The Drive a few weeks back for a friend of ours birthday. They were very accommodating for our group as we had a pretty large group. That being said, the place was not as busy as I would think a place would be at this location. When we all settled into our seats, the waitress came around for drink orders. I want to say that this gal was friendly, had a great personality and high energy. I ordered the Big Bopper: It has a crispy outside and raw salmon, tuna, and yellowtail snapper inside with avocado, scallions, and asparagus; served with chef’s swirl sauce. And by the name you can gather that it’s pretty large. I got that as my meal and I had to share since it was too much. The décor of this place I understand, however I think it boards on tacky. I think they could probably do a more tasteful look and still keep the«Rock» theme. It’s an eating establishment, not a nightclub. The colors and look of the place make it «seem» dirty, even though I didn’t feel it was. I think one of the reasons this place isn’t very busy is because of it’s curbside awareness. If you didn’t know it was there, you might pass it. I think they might need to rethink the situation and landscaping in the front to get a better draw. Food: A Drinks Options: B Service: A+ Atmosphere: C Parking: C — Onsite lot, but doesn’t hold many cars. There is local parking nearby. Would I come back or recommend?: Yes, give it a try.

Is this my favorite sushi jawn? No Is it the best in Wilton Manors? No Do I eat here all of the time? Yes The sushi is decent, the rolls are entertaining, the other food is edible, the service is always pleasant. The biggest draw to this place is convenience. Late hours. Delivery. Parking. Fast reliable fair priced sushi. The parking lot is a big plus and a minus. Plus is I’ve never had a problem getting into one of the only 10 spots(but I eat here usually after 10pm). Minus is who laid out this lot ?! There’s not one spot that is easy in and easy out. My fav roll is the blondie. I like the red hot chili pepper roll but be prepared for spicy !

The building that Sushi Rock occupies has been under construction seemingly forever, at least a few years now, and I was pleased to finally get the chance to try this place for dinner with an old friend on a recent Friday night. I’ve seen a few people comment on the design and especially the interior décor of this place. Yes, it’s a bit different than what one is used to seeing on Wilton Drive and is more in line with the décor one might find in a restaurant in the Wynwood section of Miami, but personally I was OK with it and sometimes a departure from what’s considered the«norm» can be a good thing! What matters most to me when choosing a restaurant are food quality, service, value and presentation, more or less in that order. As others have mentioned, the food here seems fresh, nothing I had smelled or tasted«fishy» and we were happy with everything we tried. Service was also spot on when we were here. Our waitress was sweet, asked if we’d ever eaten here or at their location on Los Olas, as she’d have been happy to discuss/explain the menu if need be, and we were looked after very well all evening… Spent plates and dishes were cleared away and the table wiped down between each course, waters refilled, additional drinks offered as our glasses became empty, etc. We shared an appetizer, my friend got the sushi combo which was made up of several types of sushi containing tuna along with a soup, and I had the«Sushi Dinner» combo, which came with a California roll, 6 pieces of sushi and a salad with ginger dressing. As mentioned, everything I tried was good and they had regular and low salt soy sauce available on all the tables. I had a beer, my buddy ordered saki and we split the check evenly. It came to just a bit more than $ 36 each before gratuity. Seating inside is plentiful and they offer tables, booths or high tables with stools, but know that parking can be a bit of a challenge if this restaurant is busy. They’ve laid out the parking lot a bit unconventionally, and as a result only have maybe 8 or 10 parking spaces for their patrons.

If you like the other location, you should love this one. It isn’t on Las Olas, so if you’re someone who hits Sushi Rock on your way to bars in that area, that’s the only thing this location lacks is being very near the Las Olas area. However, this location has free parking and way more parking is available than the other location. This location is WAY bigger– we’ve gone a couple times and haven’t had to wait at all on a Friday night– at the other location, you can look at significant wait times. The décor here is great, I love the mural and the chandeliers. The bathroom is also large and clean, unlike the other location. Service is fast and very friendly. Overall, I’m sold on this location for sure. Biggest plus, is the food here is just as good and the menu is very similar. The Monkees roll is still my favorite roll, and the fried rice is my favorite non-sushi option. Appetizers are delicious but small for the price– chicken cheese maki is my personal favorite. The plum wine is delicious, as is the lychee saketini for drinks.

Sushi Rock on Wilton Manors Drive has, at this writing, only been open for one day. However, this opening isn’t a «soft» opening. I recognized some of the wait staff form their other establishment, Sushi Rock at 1515 E. Las Olas which has had 165 reviews and maintains a Four Star Unilocal rating, a place at which I have also eaten. The menu is the same, extremely large and totally complete. The food is also the same, somewhat innovative with catchy names. After all, the key theme is contained in its name is «Rock,» as in rock music which when dining you will hear rather clearly. The food, as I mentioned, has catchy names like«Milli Vanilli,» named after a rock group that got caught faking their music, which is a fried«imitation» carb in a cream cheese rolled i/o topped with eel and sesame. There is also a «Strawberry Fields Forever,» a Pacific yellowtail called a «Blondie,» a «Big Bopper,» a «Michael Jackson,» a «Red Hot Chili Peppers,» a «Pink Floyd,» a «Yellow Submarine,» a La Bamba” & etc. The menu is also divided into lunch specials, various«cone» sizes along with individual and standard meal orders. The restaurant has a rather large seating capacity but only about 8 albeit good sized parking spaces. As everyone knows, parking along«The Dive» with City’s rather idiotic parking regulations and aggressive $ 25 ticket enforcement happens to a big deterrent with regards to why anyone would bother to patronize a Wilton Manor’s business establishments and, as a matter of fact, has resulted in the fact that many now refer to these area businesses as being a part of «Wilting Manors.» The food is unique in preparation, good, but nothing I would consider outstanding or superlative. I’ve had most of the items on the menu with my fav being a panko encrusted soft shell crab appetizer but that may only be because I’m a lush for soft shells regardless of the form or fashion in which they are prepared. My off hand thought is that Sushi Rock may have a difficult time of it since it is the fifth sushi type of establishment within a three block distance, the others being Gaysha, Tee Jay Thai, Galanga and Sozo. Also, though most of the potential area patrons are somewhat with it, vibrant, gay(as in «gay») and swinging, they aren’t exactly the present day rock music types. Indeed their advanced age range(they don’t call Florida the«Old Country» for nothing) might put some of them more into era of a Guy Lombardo or Mario Lanza rather than the Beatles; certainly not even close to that of the Scissor Sisters. And though at first blush it may be hard to believe, but possibly because Wilton Manors is well known as being a gay area, still not only alive, but thriving.
