Best Mexican food in Wilson. Place is for real a hole in the wall. If you can get past that it’s amazing. Sanitation grade is high as well. Don’t let it fool you, serious tacos.

Delicious! I absolutely loved the tacos I ordered(carne asada/steak, al pastor/pork, and pollo/chicken). The al pastor was my favorite but my husband loved the pollo best– both really tender and flavorful. The lady at the counter was super friendly and helpful, so you don’t have to feel nervous about asking questions. Seems to be a popular take out spot for the locals, which is the only reason I can think of for why the place wasn’t packed. I really recommend this tiny gem if you should find yourself in Wilson. I also think it would be worth taking the approximately 15 – 20 minute detour off the highway if you are traveling on I-95 and want some actual good food!

Excellent food. They are open 10:30 am to 8:00 pm. Not a popular place, but a great«hole in the wall.» Will definitely come back as the food tastes great, is authentic, like homemade and economical. Four stars, simply lacks one for the location.

Tastes exactly like it looks… which is near perfect. About as authentic as it gets. Everything is fantastic, but the unassuming cheese quesadilla gives you the best opportunity to taste their unbelievable tortillas in their unadulterated glory.

Feeling Adventurous yet again, I set out to find another eatery that I have yet visited in this town. Since I have been on this Mexican food kicks lately, I am determined to find this hole in the wall place that my colleague told me about. [Location] Right off Goldsboro Street, sitting beside Wilson County Agricultural Services, is a little house-turn-business restaurant, with a very tropical signage up front, and flashy yellow paint around the building. The parking spaces, if you can call it that, is very scarce. You are basically parking right on the street, barely. [Service] It is not so busy once I stepped into the restaurant, even though it was lunch hour. The location might have something to do with it. You order your food right up front at the counter, then turn around and grab yourself a drink if you wish; they have 6 – 7 tables, so take your pick where to sit. if you don’t mind, and can under stand Spanish, the big screen HDTV on the wall usually has Spanish soap showing. [Menu] This is not your any old Taco Bell menu, with your seasoned beef and cornmeal hard shell. They serve more traditional variety, like Tacos, Tortas, burritos and Huaraches; and with those, you can get your standard fixing like azada(Beef), Al pastor(seasoned pork), pollo(Chicken), barbacoa(pork barbecue); or you can also get something a little bit more«cultural,» like lengua(tongue) and tripa(beef tripe) [Food Quality] It’s authentic as it can get. Tacos come on corn tortillas, I think they are from the stores and not handmade in the restaurant because the the edge was too round to be handmade; unless they just have very precise hands. All their meats carry their own aroma, and not like other places I’ve been where it was different meat, same kind of seasoning. [After-thought] I’ve say this before, this is the kind of taco place that once you had it, you can never go back to Taco Bells. Your palate craves for more once you have the authentic one. If you are into real Mexican food, and not Tex-Mex, by all mean, give it a try.
