We stayed here for three nights during Cucalorus., 100% luxury. Beautiful rooms. Super clean. There are many places to relax out of your room like back porch, TV den, lovely garden. And the best part are the hosts. Margi and Doug are the kind of people you feel so comfortable with right away. And they cook a mean breakfast that varies daily. You will not be hungry until dinner. We made new friends. Walking distance from river walk, Downtown, Greenfield Lake. Über to the beaches. Only disappointment is that it had to end!

This was my first time at a B&B and I’m very happy it was at the Worth house. The bar has been set very high with this B&B. The first thing you notice when arriving are the beautiful details this home has. Built in the 1800’s this house has been through so many changes in Wilmington but looks absolutely amazing. The wonderful couple that owns and operates this residence do everything they can to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The next morning breakfast was not your normal bacon and eggs with donuts. Doug and Margi work together to make sure coffee is ready with fresh fruit to start off your day the right way. Then the main course of breakfast comes and the menu always changes, which is great. Freshly cooked each day and well worth not skipping just to sleep in. They must have ninjas working there too because when we went back to our room the room was cleaned up, bed made, and fresh towels were in place to start the next day. Hopefully you’re an open person because you get to eat breakfast with the other guests and get to swap stories on who you are. Great way to meet people. Margi doesn’t let you go before she makes sure that you know what is happening locally in town. Everything is within walking distance and that’s great to just enjoy the historic neighborhood hand in hand with a loved one. Having a private bathroom room with your room is very convenient. Also having your own key so you can come and go as you please makes you feel as if it’s your home too. You won’t regret staying at the Worth house and we look forward to our next stay.

I stayed here for the first time last night, but it won’t be the last. This is an exceptionally well run B&B in a great location. The place has some nice touches including a robe, which I don’t expect at a B &B. My room was lovely, comfortable and nicely decorated, and quiet, even though Third Street can be really busy. The owner is lovely, offering her advice and help, but not pushy. Plus, they have a really cute Siamese cat named Simon.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at CW Worth House. What a beautiful home. The history is so rich in this area and this old victorian mansion just completed the entire picture. This home has so much character and is decorated beautifully. I actually felt like I stepped back into the early 1900’s. I could just picture the original owners walking around in their poofy dresses and buttoned up suits, smoking a cigar in the library, strolling through their backyard after a nice evening in town, sipping wine on the front porch, entertaining guests in their dining room, etc. Ok, enough about the fantasy aspect… The place was very lovely and they are located in a great area. They are walking distance to basically everything downtown Wilmington has to offer but they are not right in the center so you do get a little more peace and quiet. They are on a main road however so I did hear cars/trucks passing pretty much all night. We were greeted immediately upon arrival and the innkeepers Doug and Margi were very friendly. Margi had printed out several options for the weekend including various shows, wine tastings, bands playing, etc. She gave us a map of the area and showed us where all the«hottest» spots were. They had everything you could possibly need at your disposal… menus from local restaurants, games, books, a game room, snacks, water, etc. They also put out a bottle of wine at 5pm to enjoy in the evenings. Our«romantic package» came with a bottle of champagne and tickets for a horse/carriage tour in the city. The room we stayed in was huge and had a King sized bed! The bathroom was in the room which was great. There was a TV on the wall but it was pretty small so you almost needed binoculars to see it. However, they do have a larger TV upstairs in their«common room.» The bathroom was pretty small but all of the amenities were available – soap, shampoo, makeup remover, hairdryer, etc. Really, they had everything! Breakfast was served at 9am on the weekends – which was perfect because it wasn’t too early or too late. They serve everyone at the dining room table so you are eating with the other guests. It was a nice way to meet other people although that may not be enjoyable to everyone. Everything was made fresh and was done very well! The first morning we had a little apple cake, fruit and the main course was a blueberry stuffed french toast type casserole. It was served with thin sliced ham. The second day we had fruit and a spice cake and the main meal was an egg frittata type dish served with two pieces of bacon. The egg had cheese and herbs in it. Everything was wonderful! My only«complaint» would be that it wasn’t enough! I love a big hearty breakfast and this was done very well but just not very filling. All in all everything was just lovely. We spent some time in the yard on the Hammock and on the back deck as well. This was before«busy season» so I am sure once all the flowers bloom and the trees are in full effect it is even more beautiful. Our stay was very enjoyable, it was quiet and peaceful and just easy. Everything you want from a B&B. I would come back and I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

I just returned from a 2 night stay at the C. W Worth House, while on business in Wilmington, NC and found it to be a thoroughly enjoyable experience. There are many B&B’s to choose from in Wilmington and to stay at one of the lame chains in this kind of town would be detrimental to the small town experience, so I hunted for some B&B game and ended up pulling the trigger on this wonderful Victorian style Inn situated within walking distance from the Riverfront and Downtown. Upon entering after a very long traveling/working day, I was warmly greeted by the Innkeepers, Doug and Margi, who immediately recognized my drained state and poured me a glass of wine. After checking-in, with Doug spotting my wine in hand, he immediately grabbed my bags and escorted me to my room on the third floor of the house. The room had been recently redone with period furnishings and light blue accents, and was immaculate. The room included an en-suite bathroom, TV(with DVD) and phone, which sometimes is hit or miss with B&B’s. I missed the second B… Breakfast, the first morning as I had to get on the road, but as I inquired over a cup of organic, fair-trade coffee(which begins brewing promptly at 7:30), as to what I would be missing I was informed it was banana pancakes and a cheese, spinach and herb Frittata, which sounded borderline criminal to miss(although Dixie Grill on Market Street downtown has terrific bfast… just get there early on the weekends). I was able to have breakfast the second morning before my flight which consisted of homemade blueberry muffins, sausage, and a small croissant casserole, which was absolutely delicious. If the experience couldn’t have been anymore delightful, one of the Innkeepers shuttled me to the airport instead of allowing me to call a taxi. This was the quintessential B&B experience.
