Customer service was great and so was the food. Management should be proud of their staff here, they’ve really done a great job of training a respectful, and courteous staff. Come here, you won’t be disappointed.

We decided to have melting pot as a special dessert on a Saturday evening. We waited about 10 minutes to be seated and another 15 to even be acknowledged. During our wait we did not have a waitress or waiter even bring us a menu. Several people walked by as we sat waiting. We finally decided to get up and leave. The manager had nothing to say as we walked out. We informed him the service was awful. He did not respond. Next time we will go straight to the Little Dipper.

The Melting Pot is a massively overpriced complete ripoff. That comment has no bearing on the quality of the food(high), the quality of the wait staff(high), the convenience(high), just that it’s a sucker punch of a bill when you get it. You HAVE to order the specials. Our waitress did not steer us in the right direction and we ordered everything a la carte. BIGMISTAKE. The very good waitress mentioned they have a huge crowd on Tuesday nights, when its Ladies Night and they offer a great deal on cheese and chocolate($ 20 bucks or something like that.) We went whole hog and had the cheese course, salads, main course, and chocolate. We were a mixed age group of seven so we just ordered a la carte. I’m sure we could have worked the system a little harder but we have three kids orders and three adult orders and it was plenty of food. Fondue is actually quite a nice social way to eat and enjoy a meal with your close friends and family. The Melting Pot has a clear formula and it seems to me most of the patrons get that. I would confess that the menu is somewhat confusing, and suffers from a poorly laid out format and type that is way too small. My 80 year old dad was completely confused by the menu. In small type it says«Chef’s selection» where you can pick three of the meats, which I believe is the best order. Everyone seemed to like the duck, for the record, and the herbed chicken I thought was quite good. There meat looked like niece cuts and while I’m guessing it was Choice(foodie alert: check with the kitchen if they serve Prime beef… don’t think they do), the filet and sirloin cuts were excellent. We ordered the vegetable broth(comes standard) and the Mojo broth($ 5 extra) and while the Mojo was quite flavorful, I would stick with the basic broth and let the meat and sauces do the talking. In terms of fondue technique, I would drop the vegetables in the pot at the beginning and then boil the meats along the way. The sauces are fine — waitress pointed out that the Goddess sauce is by far the most popular — it was a creamy dill sauce. i like it fine. The teriyaki and blue cheese sauces were fine but every sauce tasted canned and«widely distributed» which chains tend to do. So if you’re looking for scratch prepared, home receipe sauces and marinades, not your place. But it you want a fun family meal where everyone is happy and cooks food they way they want, including kids, this is your place. On the cost front, we rolled out of there for seven people at $ 365 tip included, but we had a few nice glasses of wine and a couple of local IPAs. A massive and total ripoff. Just disgusting. However, I would recommend to those looking for a nice birthday, anniversary or out of towner Thurs/Fri/Sat/Sun dinner spot.

Great place for a social gathering with your friends or just a special date with your other. I was always worried about getting full off the food but they give you a good amount of food. They give refills on things like bread or veggies unlike other places. I had the four course meal and I love love their salads. My favorite from my entrée was the steak and shrimp. Steak was juicy and flavorful and the shrimp was big and juicy. This place is a dark atmosphere so you can really only pay attention to who your with. It sucks to go out and still have to cook your food in a sense but it was pretty fun to do. Service is great here and they do run specials every month. If you sign up to their email list they send you alerts and specials that they run.

Cool place. Very friendly staff and nice look, the food was pretty good, one has to cook it themselves, that’s the whole idea, so it’s different but fun.

Pro: place is clean, good ambiance, friendly staff that was great with our son’s food allergy Cons: terribly overpriced and the food is just not that good. While the staff was very friendly, we found that we had to continuously ask for service. At close to ~$ 50 a person(no alcohol) — there are just too many other options.

Went here for a friend’s birthday and had my first fondue experience. The appetizer and desert were great but the entrée really didn’t live up to all the hype. Still it was a fun evening and something worth trying out if you get a chance. If I go back I’ll probably avoid the four-course meal though.

Hate to put a bad review for them now but after enjoying this restaurant for many many times I have to now admit that it is really just so overpriced for what you get. Maybe I just didn’t notice before but for cheese and salads to be over $ 100. Just seams a little excessive. Nothing against the service as they have always been delightful. But I think for that price we can skip the fun of dipping the foods and go somewhere else.

I went to the melting pot for my birthday and it was GREAT. The staff was so friendly and went out of there way to make my dinner there special. I got the 4 course meal and everything was delicious. The alpine cheese with nutmeg was so creamy and tasty. The French Quarter with Cajun steak, shrimp, sausage, and chicken was amazing. But the cherry on top was the dark chocolate fondue! I love the selection of marshmallows, cake, brownies and fruit. I will definitely be back.

Pretty cool place to go eat at if you are on a date. I ran upon this place as I was going to check out a movie. To my surprise it was a date place but I was in there alone wasting time before my movie. The food and menu choices was great. You actually get more than you can eat. The waiter had to get me a certificate to come back and finish my meal(dessert). Service was outstanding and the suggestions each waiter or waitress had was honest and helpful. I would go there again, maybe on a date.(lol)

Awesome! It can be pricy but if you go during the right times you can get it at a discount price. Tuesday night is ladies night and you can get cheese and chocolate for 8 bucks and on weekend during lunch you can do cheese chocolate and a salad for 15. I’m not big into the entrée I don’t think its anything special for the price. But the cheese and chocolate is amazing there different options. Me and a few friends go on Tuesdays usually to catch up. Deff go when you have a hour or two cause its not a regular meal. Its a fun time and service is always really good too.

Fun times and amazing service by Lizzie. She enhanced our experience greatly. We only stopped in for cheese and chocolate(and cocktails), and most of it exceeded expectations. The cheddar cheese fondue was nice, but didn’t blow me away. Had I been with slightly more adventurous eaters, I definitely would’ve tried the new goat cheese fondue. The accoutrements were not the best. The bread didn’t seem too fresh and the raw veggies just didn’t seem to go with the rich cheese. However, the smores chocolate fondue made up for it. The marshmallow really added a nice flavor and the dippers were fantastic. We all had different favorites: strawberries, Oreo covered marshmallows, Rice Krispies and brownies. Four drinks and cheese and chocolate for two totaled $ 72. Not cheap, but a fun and memorable experience.

This place is fantastic, all the food was great and our server Kyle was a stand up guy. Highly recommend this to anyone. They also have a groupon for it which gets you a three course meal for 40 $.

Ridiculously overpriced, under-portioned, and under-flavored. As soon as I left I went home and made some food to eat. The entrée was like a light snack at best. Don’t waste your time going here choose another local restaurant instead. Much better food to be had in Wilmington by far. One positive thing is that the wait staff is great.

Warning: only come here on an empty stomach, when you are really hungry. This place will make you want to eat until you pop. Total caloric intake for the week can be consumed in one meal here. They try to make the ambiance here romantic and intimate, so its very dimly lit and the path back to your table from the bathroom can be windy and maze-like. I do like the formations of the tables, so you aren’t facing each other and necessarily blocked with the fondue pot between two people. By the way, pay attention to the local craft beer they promote at the front. It’s not all listed on the menu, since they rotate out frequently. They did an awesome pairing with Rogue beer– which you couldn’t possibly get any more full from. They start you off with an appetizer cheese dip(4 choices) with endless bread bites, carrots, cauliflower, broccoli. Then you feel better about yourself and eat something relatively healthy like a salad as long as you don’t douse it in caloric dressing. Then you have to wait quite a while for the main dish to roll in.(It’s recommended to come here if you have plenty of time to eat, not rushed on a schedule.) Select a surf or turf, Pacific rim or combo. Then of course everyone has room for dessert– strawberries, brownie bites, cheesecake, rice crispies, covered marshmallows. Who knew you could get both dark chocolate and melted peanut butter. So at this point, if you haven’t gone into hyperglycemic shock or busted the stitches on your gastric bypass, then you can waddle out of this place.
