Waited for a drink till the staff seemed«ready» to help us… seemed like they felt they were doing us a favor by helping us out. Ordered spinach, bacon on pizza. Maybe 1 piece of spinach. No joke. Tasted ZERO bacon. Horrible. Don’t bother. Not worth the experience. Young servers who couldn’t be bothered. Go elsewhere.

It was okay experience. The pizza was good. Had a few drinks, no complaints. Just took a little long for us to get the pizza

Pizza is great for a «Pizza Maker.» Open until 3:00 for the late night drunks. Very limited menu and food is two Thumbs down. Casual atmosphere and 15 huge flat screens keeps me coming back.

My husband and I went for lunch. The lunch special was a good deal. 2 slices with 2 toppings.(You can make 2 different for each slice) a drink and pasta salad for $ 7.00. I didn’t care for pasta salad to me pasta was over cooked or had been sitting in cooler for a few days. But pizza was very good. Would I go back? Yes. Service was excellent.

A great combination of sports bar and a pizzeria. My wife and I decided to try Slice of Life because Buzztime Trivia was a suggested location. We went there and had some beer, played trivia and had some pizza. We’ll be back.

I’d give it more but the service on the Wednesday night that I came in was terrible. I received a drink then was ignored for 25 minutes. I finally corralled a server and ordered some delicious pizza by the slice. Maybe on another night?

We went here for lunch one day when we were leaving the farmers’ market. The service was pretty terrible, especially considering there was hardly anyone else there. This is not to say our server was not friendly, she was just completely unorganized, I guess. It took about a half hour for our slices to arrive and then another 20 minutes after we finished eating for our check arrive. When you have a baby, this is a very long time. The pizza was pretty good, but nothing to write home about.

Yesterday was my first day as a big buddy. After a less than exciting visit to the battleship my little decided he was starving so I decided to take him to Slice of Life. I like to go here late night and after my experience with a 6 year old in tow I don’t think I would recommend this business as kid friendly. My little buddy was very disappointed that they didn’t have a kids menu even though cheese pizza is the only thing he eats. I ordered a piece of pizza with pineapple and bacon. Basically just a piece of premade cheese reheated with the toppings and extra cheese. I was very impressed with the amount of toppings. The waitress had the kitchen cut the kids piece of cheese, which was thoughtful, but she was very dismissive when my little asked her questions. Overall the pizza was good but it seems to be a lot more satisfying when you’re drunk at 2am.

First Slice of Life experience I’ve had and I’m definitely impressed! Had the white pizza and it wad one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Even though the restaurant was pretty busy on a Saturday afternoon, accompanied by a beer tasting tour, the service was still rather timely and friendly. Would definitely recommend!

Trying to go to Chops(but it was unexpectedly closed), so we wondered around old Wilmington for a few blocks trying to find a cute, quick place to grab lunch. We settled on Slice of Life. Service was fast and friendly, and we ordered«by the slice». The pizza was good, not great, but mostly Bc you could tell they just threw our toppings(ham and pineapple, and sausage and artichoke) on mostly cooked plain cheese pizza. Not a knock on Slice of Life so much as «by the slice» pizza.

Literally the worst pizza in town. It tastes like high school cafeteria pizza. They really woulnt even really have to be very good because they’re one of the only places open late night downtown but even if your drunk and they’re your only option, I’d recommend you save your money and go with cheap delivery. I never write negative reviews, but I went in there last night after a few drinks looking to fill my belly with bad pizza and water and find out their policy is to not give free water, «…but if you buy a bottle I’ll refill it for you». No, thanks. I refuse to give my money to an establishment who wont give me a water just because they’d rather charge me for it.

We had the worst experience there that I was actually shocked at what happened. A group of 8 of us came in for pizza around 10pm and only wanted one slice each so we just bought a large pizza. Our waitress was so rude as to question and berate us about how much food we ordered. Then a friend with us asked what they have on draft, our server scoffed and laughed at him, still not sure why. She asked to see his ID and quizzed him about where he was from and more useless information and was SO rude. All night the server made rude comments and said comments under her breath. I have never in my life been treated the way we were treated by this server. When our pizza finally came out it was so greasy it was almost inedible. To be a paying customer and to be treated like that was simply unacceptable.

Great pie, good times! Recommended by the staff at the courtyard by Marriott. So glad we listened to them. Right in the heart of the walking district in downtown Wilmington.

Meh sums it up perfectly. Service was good, but pizza was bland, doughy & under cooked. Too many other interesting options in the area to give this place a 2nd chance.

Pizza tasted great; I ordered the Gluten free crust white pizza and asked to have them add chicken and red onion, by the picture you can clearly tell that they«forgot» the add-on’s. I’m not one for complaining and there’s not much they could have done at that point so I ate it anyway. Not the happiest but at least it tasted good. The waitress was texting on her phone right behind the bar 80% of the time we were their, which is probably why she forgot to put in my correct order.

Great place to hangout and have some amazing pizza. They have tons of toppings to get on your pizza. Staff is friendly.

We came in for lunch before heading back to Charlotte. The first thing that I noticed was the beautiful, original old brick behind the bar. The rest of the interior had newer brick, but an effort was made to retain the vintage character. We decided on pizza. It was a bit difficult to determine how many toppings came on a large pizza by reading the menu, but our waitress clarified that a generous ten toppings were up for grabs. So, we decided on garlic, roasted red peppers, sundried tomatoes, green olives, jalapeños, mushrooms, fresh basil, spinach, and two more vegetables that I can’t recall. That pie was loaded! My husband thought that the crust was a bit too brown, but I found it nice and crispy. He also felt overwhelmed by so many toppings, but my philosophy is the more the merrier. The toppings were juicy, and the crust was crunchy. Good combination. We have generous leftovers for the work week ahead. So, when I take a slice to work, I can imagine that I am still in lovely Wilmington.

We came on a Friday evening. We waited FORANHOUR for our waitress to take our order. The service was terrible! We are terribly disappointed! We thought that the food would at least be worth the wait… sadly, it WASN’T. The pizza slices are small $ 2.50. We ordered 6 slices of one to two topping pizzas and a small salad. The only good things I can say, was that the pizza was hot and the sweet tea was good. The rest was much to be desired. We wanted to tell the people waiting at the door as we left, «Eat somewhere else!»

Their lunch special is awesome! Two slices, a drink, and a salad for right around 10 bucks! The best part is that you get two toppings on each slice and they can be different. The possibilities are endless. :) Our server was great, the food was great, the price was right. I will definitely be back!
