House sitting for friends of mine and their refrigerator stopped working. I scheduled an appointment for Sears servicemen(under warranty) to come out and it was scheduled between 3−6PM. I had to leave work early to be there in case they showed up on time! 6PM came and went so I called in to see what was going on. I was told they had to «reschedule.» No phone call, email, or notification of any sorts. They almost make Comcast look good.

Usual Sears product. Crappy service from people who clearly don’t care that they have a job and that someone pays them to do it.

I visited Sears on a Sunday after an unfortunate incident with an exploding vacuum cleaner filter. While picking carpet fuzz from my hair, I browsed the well stocked aisles looking for the correct filter. Sears is usually always well stocked. The problems started when I found out there were no employees… anywhere! Every register was vacant! Checked out the whole second floor and couldn’t find anywhere to pay for my vacuum filter. Ok, I lied… there was one register available, but the poor hassled employee was having difficulty with a malfunctioning credit card scanner, and the line of people waiting was about 10 deep, and they were none too pleased! One little filter and no place to pay… so sad. By the time I got out of there I could have been home and had the whole house cleaned. It’s not like this hasn’t happened before either… I avoid this Sears unless I need vacuum filters, and I only buy those after they disintegrate.

This place is great. the employees here are great. They worked with me on getting the deal I needed, even though the great deal was an online deal instead of the in store deal. The people there was so courteous and patient while working with me. I would definitely go back here to get all my home appliances or any other home good needs.

I needed a new food processor after my daughter’s unfortunate injury with our existing one(they aren’t supposed to turn on until AFTER the lid is closed!). Anyway, since I was in Delaware, I thought I would do some tax-free shopping. I was fortunate to go to the Sears store on Concord Pike where I met Daniel Boddie. Mr. Boddie helped me with my purchase, even though he works in a different part of the store. Then, while I was in the large appliance section, Mr. Boddie showed me a variety of ranges(I can’t possibly own a new food processor without getting a new range!). Mr. Boddie quickly figured out my taste in appliances and talked to me about gas vs electric, etc. Best of all, he enllisted me in a Sears points program and emailed me information about the ranges that I liked — right there on the spot! When I am ready to purchase a new range, you know where I will go!
