I had been to seagrass once before for highlights(cannot remember the lady’s name) but she did an incredible job. that being said, I came back in a few weeks ago to get a root touch up and a darker toner since I wanted to be more of a dirty blonde for fall and winter. I was scheduled with Paige and she was nice and was quick but when I got home I went to look at my hair and saw it was BLEACH blonde and my roots were all still visible… with BRASSY/YELLOW streaks… I called the salon to get Paige to fix it and although the receptionist did not seem to care what had been done to my hair she made an appointment for me the following day. I came in and Paige asked what was wrong so I pointed out the platinum blonde hair, the roots, and the brassiness that had gotten worse as the night went on. she quickly told me that roots were going to show no matter what… I believe the point of a root touch up is to NOT see that you have regrowth from your last appointment… but none the less she put MORE bleach on my hair only where I parted my hair to suffice for being able to «see the roots»…real professional. She let me pick out the swatch of what toner to put on and we settled on a darker natural dirty blonde(or so I thought). I left with my hair wet and did not get a good look at what my hair actually looked like. she also charged my 30 more dollars on top of the 120 from the previous day… also something I had never experienced from a stylist that did my hair literally the DAYBEFORE. I should not have been charged anything. I tipped her 17 the first day and 10 the second day so she now had about 180 of my hard earned dollars. full time college student by the way so this was a large chunk of change out of my pocket… After getting home and seeing what my hair looked like dry, not only was it completely fried, but it was still BLEACHBLONDEWITHBRASSSTREAKS !!! I was furious. I paid almost 200 dollars to have my hair fried and ruined. I did not want to go in public like that so I once again called the salon. The girl who answered the phone once again seemed totally uninterested in my situation. I asked to speak with Paige and she said she was with a client. Understandable, have her call me back when she gets a minute. She said she should be done with that client in about 15 – 20 min so I said great thanks. I waited an hour and still no call, so I call the salon back and was notified that Paige LEFT and said she’d call me first thing in the morning. THATWOULDHAVEBEENNICETOKNOW! This girl was so unprofessional it was unbelievable. I ask the girl to schedule me an appointment for the next day to get my hair fixed for the SECONDTIME and she said there were absolutely no openings the next day… I was furious at this point for the treatment of the staff all around and demanded that she have Paige call me that night to talk about how to fix my poor hair or I was going to go to a different salon. Needless to say I never received a call, went to a different salon to get a protein treatment on my hair, another two inches chopped off after having a haircut two days prior because Paige completely fried my ends, and having a dirty blonde color put in my hair. Thank god this salon knew what they were doing because it looks great. RIGHTAFTER leaving that salon I walked in to seagrass to ask for some of my money back since I had to pay another 150 dollars to fix HERMISTAKES. Once again the receptionist was so snotty towards me and asked to take a message since Paige had clients, I said I would wait until Paige had a moment and said I had been in that salon THREETIMES and was not going to be running all around town. I waited until she went and got Paige, where she proceeded to talk down to me in front of everyone in the waiting room… once again, very professional. I said hey, I never got a call from you, this is what happened etc. She blatantly LIED to my face and said she never got a message until just then that I had called her. The manager confirmed that she in fact did lie to me about that. Paige would not take responsibility, and said she only charged me 150 dollars not 180, and I said yes well with tip it was 180 dollars of my money that was in YOUR pocket, she continued to say«well I never asked you to tip me» AREYOUFREAKINGKIDDINGME!!! this girl has me at a loss for words. The manager can do NOTHING about it since Paige just rents a booth from them. This has by far been the worst experience with a salon in the 10 years I have been getting my hair done. To makeup for me being almost 400 dollars out, the manager said she would give me 40% off of any spa treatment… UMWHAT??? I’m never going back to that awful, unprofessional, shady, slimy, rip off of a salon again. I have already told many other college students as well as women around Wrightsville Beach that come into the restaurant I work at. If anything goes wrong the stylists will keep your money and the manager will do nothing about it.

I have been getting my cut and color done here by Hannah for years and would highly recommend! I just came back from DC to visit and made sure to get in my time with Hannah! She did a great job and is wonderful with color and cutting curly hair. I wish I could find someone as knowledgable and friendly in VA! Well worth the trip.

Ive only been to this place twice but I have been impressed. The first time I went I got a manicure, pedicure and hair cut. It all felt soooo good. The girls at the nail area were friendly and chatty. They made you feel comfortable. In that area we also had the opportunity to chat with one of the massage givers. My friend, who has a few body issues, explained that after a past bad experience with massages and why she would never get one again. A previous massage person had asked her if she ever considered working out because her body wasn’t that great… my friend works out all the time. Needless to say she was totally upset. Seagrass’ response was«wha’?! You’re beautiful. I love to give massages and I can’t complete someone ever said that!» So just to say, I love them. Ryan did my hair the first time and I was happy. He is not only super hot but he’s fun to talk to and listens to what you want with your hair. He is really happy to have new customers and is not afraid to try things with you but he’s still careful. He even curled my hair because I wanted to see it and he didn’t charge for styling. The last time I went I had Kristen do my hair. You get a wonderful little massage when they wash your hair and they do a professional cut. I was a little sad because Kristen was running behind and I felt like she rushed with me a little bit. When a hair dresser does that you get a little nervous that your hair will be awful. But she was sweet and the hair came out nice. Part of me wishes I had gone a little daring but so far I have gotten nothing but compliments on the hair cut. It costs less than regular high-end hair places and you get better service. I am definitely hooked on coming here from now on.
