My opinion of this place falls pretty much in line with what everyone else was saying. The environment is cool, the ambience is fresh and new to the area. The food is just so-so. I wish the food was as good and the décor. I found the food was not bad, but it didn’t wow me either. The sushi was more of the same;pretty much what you’d expect in the area. Nothing that stole the show. A couple of creative rolls are available, but again nothing that you cannot get anywhere else with the exception of the Naruto roll. But give it a shot, form your own opinion.

Rice is located next to the TD bank on Limestone across from the Wawa. The restaurant is really nice looking inside and out. The food on the other hand was subpar. The menu was hard to read and was disorganized. The font they used in the menu was weird and hard to read in spots. I ordered the Dragon Roll and the General Tso’s Chicken. The Dragon Roll tasted mostly like rice and was pretty bland. The lobster tempura they used in it was a little too greasy and didn’t really tasted like much. The General Tso’s Chicken was ok. The sauce was to sugary and didn’t have the heat that comes to mind when you talk about General Tso’s. It was basically just sauce, chicken, white rice and broccoli. The food was pretty forgettable. The food reminded me of take-out Chinese on a plate. My wife order Chicken Teriyaki Udon. The noodles and chicken were overcooked. The dishes I thought were really plain and there wasn’t that much to them. The service was so-so. Our server was nice, but them food was pretty slow to come out. Even though there wasn’t many people there. Despite the décor, the food was underwhelming.

Decided to give this place a try since it recently opened! Plus, I simply did not want to drive and dine in philly tonight. Ambience: very much Asian sushi bar, with a modern twist. Place is beautiful in design! Nice architectural designs!!! Food Presentation: Was beautiful the chef constantly made different designs of art on our food plates. Was enjoyable to see. Taste: the I started with the«Shumai» which was cooked to perfection, very good texture! Then I had the«chicken tempura» and«eel» rolls! All made fresh to order and tasted delightful. My main course was none other than«General TSO Chicken» now this was the best GTC I have ever tasted. Seriously! The meat was all white meat and tender meat at that! All the sauces and spices blended perfectly! I had to save some to take home because I didn’t want this dish to end. Server: was great! The place wasn’t that busy so our server had plenty of time to devote to us. Food came out quickly and drinks were refilled without asking! Revisit: absolutely!

Dined late one evening. Relaxed and casual atmosphere. Staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. Standard menu offerings for Asian fusion. The veggie sushi rolls were good. I also had veggie Pad Thai that was ok compared to other Pad Thai I’ve had. They also do take out.

great restaurant! I had the beautiful sushi & sashimi platter with miso soup — all of which was wonderfully prepared and delicious! My son had the orange chicken — he said it was great, too! Generous portions, great presentation, friendly staff, large selection of menu items… all at a good price! Definitely one of my new favorite places to eat!

Rice is located on a convenient part of Limestone Road, right on my drive home from work. Maybe I will try it some time.

I did not have high hopes, as this is a Asian fusion restaurant in Delaware, but my coworker twisted my arm into trying it out and it was a big mistake. I ordered the tempura scallop and it tasted rubbery and oily. Porbably not a good choice on my end for the choice but my groups concensus was that everything taste wise was sub par. Id say everything brought out was pre packaged and reheated before serving, which is ironic because it took forever for the food to come out. i want to give this place the benefit of the doubt because we came when they were fairly new, but even still we mustve waited for over an hour. traumatized from this experience, I might not eat at an Asian fusion place in this state ever again

Went here during the opening week with my father and and I must say the food was really good. Everything was fresh and large portions. Lots of food for a good price. The sushi menu was on point and had pretty much anything you could want which was awesome. The one hesitation I have to say is just it’s a lot to take in with the menu and they can’t master everything. Still though everything came out and was super tasty and good.

Just ok. I saw the mixed reviews but gave it a shot any way. As we walked in a waitress was having a tempertantrum. Once seated, we were lucky enough to get the cranky waitress who proceeded to be snippy and inattentive. Food was okay. The wonton soup was really good. Two of us got teriyaki dishes and both were a little too sweet. My shrimp still had the tails on, which was messy since it was covered in sweet sticky sauce. My husband got the peanut chicken and it was bone dry with no sauce or flavor. Not going back.

1st time, getting a quick easy, take out meal for dinner The décor is very modern and non traditional. I thought I’d play it safe and got General Tsao Chicken. This is basically chunks of white chicken, dipped in a batter, quickly deep fried, then topped with a spicy sweet brown sauce, accompanied with fresh steamed broccoli. I was somewhat disappointed. The chicken was very inconsistent. The meat should be tender and juicy. Their General chicken tasted light it was over fried, dry and tough, or it had been frozen, and refried more than once, which is my guess. I think I’ll give this place one more try, with a eat in meal, but, 1st impressions are normally right. One star for the food, one star for the brand new building.

We’d been wanting to try this place since it opened, so when friends invited us out for an impromptu dinner a couple of Saturdays ago, we suggested Rice. It wasn’t our best decision, that’s for sure. First, the wait for a table was long, more than 25 minutes. When we finally did get seated it was at a ginormous table with these hot lights shining down on it. We couldn’t hear each other, we couldn’t see, and we were overheated, so we asked to move. Our new table had less offensive lights and was right in front of the thermostat; they had the place at 75 degrees which seemed excessive.(We actually turned it down to a more reasonable 72). Anyway, people talk about the décor being so pretty but it’s not very functional. Our new table was by a huge table of very drunk 30-somethings who were SCREAMING obscenities and just generally really, really loud. Our friends had their baby with them — she’s a good baby, very quiet, slept most of the time — but we were kind of shocked that the drunkies were so unruly in the presence of a baby. More disturbing was that no one in the restaurant asked them to modulate or at least act like humans instead of zoo animals. But I guess having a large bar tab buys you the ability to be publicly dickish without reprimand. Our waiter was… odd. On the one hand, he was overly attentive, checking on us every 5 minutes. On the other, he was unfamiliar with the menu, messed up a drink order, forgot to bring us sides, etc. Our friends ordered a sushi roll that was supposed to be topped with lump crab but came topped with crab stick. When they asked the waiter about it, he at first said they were the same thing(they’re not) and then later said it was supposed to come with imitation crab meat. Um, that’s not what the description said and what the price tag implied. My husband and I enjoyed our sushi rolls and didn’t think they were overpriced. But our main dishes were kind of eh. My peanut chicken was supposed to have jicama and we picked through the whole thing to find literally three tiny cubes of the stuff. It was also really bland; I ended up taking most of it home and lacing it with sriracha just to make it semi-tasty. Our friend weren’t impressed with their tempura, either. We got the tempura ice cream for dessert and it was weirdly soggy/chewy. Our friends got the mochi and liked that better but thought the portion was really small for the price. Moral of this story: I could see my husband and I getting takeout sushi from here, if only because it’s so close to our house, but we likely wouldn’t eat at Rice ever again.

Went here for dinner and made reservations that went smooth my table was private and ready. After being seated took about 15 min to put a drink order in. The martini was all vodka no mixer way to strong. The sushi was great but again slow waiter that was another 20 min. I ordered the pad Thai took one bite and sent it back tasted like soggy noodles that sat in ketchup too long. Disgusting. On the side of it a pile of raw peanuts wtf. Order Lo mein instead so we’ll still here

Great décor. The food was nothing special. I ordered the shrimp lover(hand rolled sushi) and sushi deluxe(10 pieces of nigiri). The sushi was fresh and pretty good. I was hoping for a menu with different sauces, like a plum sauce or yum yum sauce. The waiter barely came by so I didn’t really get a chance to even request it. But Rice is more of a fusion Americanized Chinese-Japanese-Thai restaurant, low in authenticity and appealing to Americans. My friend ordered the general Tso which I tried and it was surprisingly flavorful. And bring a sweater it’s chilly inside.

This place looked really cool inside, the chandeliers, the modern ceiling, and lighting. However, the design of it made the whole place very echo-ey. I was having dinner with a small group and kept overhearing bits and pieces of conversations from other tables. Also this place is really loud, for the romantic tone and posh, fancy atmosphere it was trying to set, it delivered the opposite of that. As for the food, they served Chinese American food, sushi, sashimi, specialty rolls that were overpriced. I liked the seaworld roll but I’m not sure if I’ll be coming back for it.

I had lunch here with my wife yesterday. I thought it was good and would like to go again and try more sushi. We both had wonton soup which had good dumplings and a rich broth. I had general tso’s chicken with fried rice and my wife had the pad thai. We also had a rainbow roll and a crunchy dragon roll. My rice was well cooked, neither soggy, nor crunchy. The chicken coating was crisp and sauce not too sticky(or sweet). I would’ve like it to be little spicier(I often forget to ask for extra heat). It was much better than your typical Chinese takeout. The pad Thai was good too, but the red hue of the sauce was off putting visually. I didn’t try the rainbow roll, but my wife liked it. The crunchy dragon roll was not a good selection on my part. It had cream cheese in it which mutes the other favors in my opinion. But it was good for what it was. I’d like to go back and try more sushi items to make a better assessment. It is a «fancy» place, as I like to say, so you are paying for ambiance, that may not be worth it to some. It fits in the date place or business meal category.

Long story short is that the food here is subpar. The setting is nice, but i hate when restaurants overly focuses on dressing up my meal with undertook veggies and placement with little focus on the actual flavor. I ordered Chicken Teriyaki with a few pieces of Sushi, Wife ordered Pad Thai and my Daughter ordered several pieces of Unagi. The Teriyaki clearly lacked that seasoned grill flavor and the sauce was lacking. The pieces of Chicken were not grilled for flavor, almost White :(and sliced too large for them eat to really be grilled to perfection. It was bland and they clearly hoped the lacking Teriyaki sauce doused over the Chicken would mask the blandness. The Pad Thai was also not remotely close to good Pad Thai. They used a ton of Ketchup as the base or at least that’s how my wife explained it. She would know as we’ve been to many Thai restaurants over the years. The Sushi was ok. I had Mackerel and Salmon and my daughter had Unagi. The rice was a tad too dry, but the fish was acceptable. Personally I wouldn’t go here or recommend for Sushi as the assortment is lacking. If I want good Sushi I go to and also recommend Sakura in Elsmere. I only got the few pieces here to see where they were at. Again, not a place I would recommend for Sushi, but it didn’t suck either. I get it, it’s Asian fusion, but they need to make it so the food taste of that seasoned grill and Wok! Maybe they’ll get it together in time, but in the meantime this place is not for us.

I was going to check this place out but then I changed my mind cause of the fake review! Jay C. Went for lunch but posted some photos at night, photos used by the restaurant, and also used by Lin L. Are you guys family or something? If the foods is good then you will get a good review you don’t need to post it yourself. I don’t think I will try this place out.

Went with a large group for dinner. They were very accommodating with seating us together. Quick turnaround on the appetizers and main course. Fried pork dumplings — very good! Sapporo — Cold, poured into a glass Jalapeño Pepper Shrimp — Oh yeah! Cooked and seasoned perfectly Green tea Mochi — A bit too melty Overall, great experience close to home.

Noticed Rice was open on Friday, so we thought we’d give it a try. The interior is really nice. Very modern with cool blue lights and little sparkly chandelier-like things hanging from the ceiling. Actually, my favorite part of those was watching the taller guys bump their heads into them when being shown to their seats. That might be something worth tweaking. Maybe raising those a bit for taller people walking by. On to the food! I ordered the chirashi, which was very good. All of the fish tasted fresh and was sliced well. I liked that some of it was wrapped in little pieces of cucumber too. A really pretty presentation. The rice was perfectly seasoned. It came with a salad and soup. They were both decent. I stuck with the miso soup, but I thought it was nice that they also offered the option to switch to another soup if you wanted. Overall, I feel like it was worth the price. My husband ordered a mixed tempura meal. The shrimp looked great and was very large. He gave me the mushrooms and those were delicious, if not a little greasy. But that’s the case a lot with tempura. Service was good. Our server was nice and attentive. Nothing really negative to note. I agree with another reviewer that the menu is a bit busy though. Lots of fonts and it doesn’t look as organized as it could. It was a little overwhelming when choosing something because of that. Overall, this was a nice meal and I would come here again to try more things.
