Food is amazing. No complaints. The owners are wonderful. Always trying to get u to try something new. Offering samples. Everything I’ve had was delicious. Lately they’ve had a sign up that says«Run out of food. Sorry for the inconvenience.» I know BBQ takes many hours to cook but how are u a business that«runs out of food»?

Me and my co workers eat here almost everyday. Excellent food with reasonable prices. I have tried a good portion of the menu so far and i am not disappointed. The beef brisket is the best in town, seasoned well and cooked to perfection. The Pinoy Mac is very good and you wont be able to find anything else like it in town. The beef ribs are amazing but you can only get them if you call the day before. They get a sweet, charlike crust on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. Their pulled chicken sandwich is very good too. Their chicken kabobs is my favorite thing there. Generously sized pieces of chicken(dark & white meat) cubed and put on a skewer and grilled to perfection. They get a nice char on the outside. Garlic rice is very good too. My co workers have had both pulled pork sandwiches, the jackfruit dessert, the half chicken, and coleslaw. They rave about it. The owners treat you like family and bend over backwards trying to cater to each individual based on what they need. This place used to be a hidden gem in delaware but lately it has been PACKED during lunch so i recommend placing your orders ahead of time if not you can end up waiting awhile. I give this place 5 stars, they hit a home run in every category everytime.

Excellent Brisket. Pulled pork wasn’t good, little grill taste on meat and too saucy, more like braised sweet shredded pork. They ran out of many items 3 hours prior to closing so go early.

This small family run restaurant draws it’s inspiration from the US South and the Philippines. This is not some sort of fusion: there are essentially two separate menus, which Ed could split into two highly focused restaurants if he were so inclined. BBQ sauce is a bit spicy and I’d like to see some sides that aren’t fries or coleslaw(e.g collards).

Holy shit! this is the best bbq meat in town! We got the brisket, the roasted pig, smoked turkey leg and kielbasa. The brisket is some of the best I’ve ever had! It was like eating butter that tasted like brisket. Lalaine is absolutely wonderful and made the whole experience of eating here even better.

I was craving some BBQ so I hopped on Unilocal to see if I could find any decent places. I like to find small, family owned businesses to support. I’ve noticed they spend more money on quality ingredients and less on «bells and whistles» or fancy store fronts like franchises do. Well, I have to say, I’m glad I found this place. Just like most of the reviews write about, you are greeted as soon as you walk in and treated like family. My friend and I arrived around dinner time on Saturday, right before their dinner rush. Some regulars came in and the owners were joking and having a good time with them. It was nice to see. I ordered a half rack of ribs, their Wah-wah(pulled pork sandwich) and their Gulaman juice. The woman behind the counter said I would have to wait for the drink because her husband just went out to get some more ice. My friend and I were originally going to get take out but we were so hungry and since I had to wait for my drink anyhow, we decided to eat there. My friend ordered the brisket sandwich and some smoked chicken salad. Because of the comments here about their homemade spicy sauce, I got some of that on the side. First things first, the ribs were fall off the bone tender and yummy. I like spice but I have to admit, their homemade spicy sauce is a little too spicy for me; so I used it sparingly. The Wah-Wah was really good. Also, I had some of the smoked chicken salad and that was yumtastic and would be great in a sandwich. The only«downside» is that I wish my drink was ready in time to have with my meal because it would have been a nice pairing. The funny thing is, when I looked at the two men who were cooking, I realized I had seen them before. Come to find out they were at the Glasgow Farmers Market a few years ago. And I remember making frequent trips there for their chicken kabobs :) I will be returning to this place and I look forward to trying other items on the menu.

A new profound gem as I adventure out DE. First thing I walked into is the arrays of whimsical aromas. Than was greeted by the owner, whom by the way is awesome and super friendly. Next, having to make a decision on what I wanted was the hard part. Don’t be afraid to ask for samples, she will not hesitate. Finally, I settled for the Brisket and OMY Fingers(miniature lumpia). Also Halo Halo. OMG! Loveeeee. I’ll be coming back to try the signature dishes which are only available Friday-Sunday. Especially the lechon!

I was really struggling to decide what I wanted. The owner noticed and brought me two plates of samples. It was nearly everything on the menu, and I was almost full by the time I ordered! Everything was great, and the owner was lovely. Please support this local bbq joint! Oh, and get those mini egg rolls.

The brisket is amazing and the little egg rolls are delicious. The bbq has a great, smoky flavor and the meat just falls off the bone. This place has a unique menu that is traditional Filipino, but focuses on dishes that are familiar enough to those new to the cuisine. I can’t wait to go back to try the halo-halo. Spread the word, this place is legit.

Absolutely incredible smoked barbecue. We got there late on a Saturday and they were out of brisket so we got the wah-wah(pulled port and slaw sandwich), boneless rib sandwich, two steamed pork buns, OMY fingers, and a turon(fried jackfruit and plantain dessert). The owner(?) was also nice enough to give us a small sample platter of the pickles, macaroni salad, and chicken salad. Absolutely everything was incredibly fresh and very, very obviously made right there locally. If the brisket is the best thing there and it’s better than what we had then oh boy am I in for a treat the next time I go back which will be very soon. I really want to try their breakfast too. Oh and ask for the house made spicy barbecue sauce as well, it’s dark and delicious without being too hot. If you’re anywhere near Elsmere, DE this place is a must visit.

OMG Amazing! The adobo pork, smoked chicken salad, OMY Fingers(kinda like tiny fried lumpia stuffed with pork) are all wonderful. Elaine(LaLaine?) and her staff(family) are terrific. Can’t wait to come back and try the brisket and rubs. A true gem! Go there NOW!

Finding a place that sells Filipino food has been such a challenge for me since moving to Delaware. I am SO glad I found this place to get my lumpia(egg roll) fix. The owner was so incredibly nice and made me feel so much at home. The restaurant itself is very small and the parking situation is not ideal but the food packs a big punch. I’ll definitely keep coming.

Best BBQ joint in town. I visited this place by reading the Unilocal reviews, and I agree it deserves the best ratings. Everything I got there was great — The kebabs, ribs and the OMY rolls. Considering becoming a regular here

Really good BBQ. Ordered about 5 different things for a group of people I had over & everything was good. Only reason I tried it was from the good reviews from Unilocal, glad I did. Def. will be back. I would recommend.

To all the people who are worried about what type of food this place serves, based on the name of this restaurant, don’t worry… it’s normal, delicious BBQ! Whenever I crave some juicy brisket or some really tender ribs, this is one of my go to places. And while you’re ordering, make sure to order their lumpia… it’s SO yummy!

Damn you Unilocal! Why isn’t there a sixth star available?! This is a family-owned restaurant that really makes you feel at home. No seriously, the owner came from around the counter and played with our son so we could eat. And you know what? It didn’t feel weird at all. The food matches their hospitality. Try everything. The lechon will make you slap your mama(well maybe not, that would be rude and disrespectful), and the Lumpia is crispy and flavorful. I’ll be back soon!

By the grace of the Filipino food gods, I was recommended to this place by my salon stylist — and oh man, I AMSOSOSOSOTHANKFUL. Because the Filipino food scene isn’t so happenin’ in Philadelphia, my family, my friends, and I will venture out to Jersey City and NYC just to get our Filipino fix(for the dishes that we don’t make at home). WELLFINALLY… MYPRAYERSHAVEBEENANSWERED. We drove down to Philippine Smoked BBQ Grill on Christmas Eve after I called and placed a catering order a few days before. I ordered: pancit canton with shrimp, sweet and sour fish(pompano), lumpia(eggrolls), lechon belly, and pinakbet(veggie dish). The amount of food they give for the price is unmatched… the value is INCREDIBLE. Even more so than the food tasting THAT good(my dad kept talking about the lechon belly FORDAYSSSSSSSSSS), what we loved most was the family that owns this establishment. They welcomed us with open arms when we came to pick up our order. They sat us down, gave us some samples of the food they were cooking to try, and even spent some time with our son! It really brought me back to the feeling of being in the Philippines. They were SO kind and thoughtful — they didn’t even treat us like customers, they treated us like friends! So accomodating! We will definitely drive down to Delaware every chance we get once that hankering for Filipino food comes… and to see the super sweet family that owns it! Quick notes on the food: lumpia(eggrolls) — we ordered a tray of 50 pieces for our party. ummm honesty time: it never made it to our party. we ate it on our ride back to Philly! :woops: :( sweet and sour fish — THEBEST. If you’re a fish lover, this dish is for you. Really well done — perfect blend of flavors, nothing is overpowering. lechon belly — I don’t eat lechon, but my whole family does and they did nothing all night but RAVE about this dish. pinakbet — good, tastes just like my grandma’s pancit canton with shrimp — they don’t skimp on the protein, ya’ll! They gave a lot of shrimp with the noodles and tons of fresh veggies. Good, solid restaurants are hard to find, but good restaurants with AMAZING owners is even more of a challenge… and this was it.

Was craving some bbq, and hopped on Unilocal to check out what was around. This place had a good rating, and wasn’t too far away, so I figured I’d give it a go. Glad I did. Decent food for a reasonable price. I got the whole chicken and ½ pound of brisket. I was able to make 4 meals out of it(and I’m a pretty big guy), all for $ 14 or so? Can’t beat it. Much tastier and healthier than going to KFC, plus it’s a mom and pop shop, which I always try to support when I can. This will now be my go-to bbq spot.

Started going there as soon as it opened. Father very nice and offers samples, same with son. Stopped by a couple of months ago, the wife was talking to a friend, I waited for almost 5 minutes while they talked, then walked out. Food was good, but service was beyond poor. I wont return.

I grew up on Filipino food, including Filipino BBQ. I thought this place was decent, but not great. The brisket was very good, but the pulled pork had been sitting in sauce too long and was overcooked; the ribs were good. Also, the OMY fingers(Shanghai lumpia) were tasty, but left something to be desired. The pancit, which I have been craving a good pancit for quite some time, was marginal at best as it was missing flavor(garlic, soy sauce). The puto with cheese wasn’t good(not fresh), but the Turon and Cassava were very good. The customer service is excellent. Very respectful, very appreciative of their customers. Since they’re newer, it could take a while until they really figure out everything. I very much enjoy Filipino food, and the other places in the Wilmington area have never been good. I have high hopes for this one, so I’ll check them out again in a few weeks.

Just stared working in Wilmington and was excited to see a BBQ joint right around the corner. I tried the Beef Brisket as recommended by the other Unilocalers and it was the best I have ever had. Normally, the brisket in this area is dry and cut thin, but this brisket was super juicy and thick. I will be heading back over the next couple weeks to try the rest of the menu!

I am verrry picky about my brisket. I’m from LA, & I have a couple fave places there(Bludso’s, Barrel & Ashes), but if this place was in Los Angeles too, they would be right up there with my top choices! This casual little spot only opened in June — they’re right across the street from the VA Hospital. The husband & wife behind the counter were super warm & friendly, & even offered samples of a couple things we were asking about. Because I love my brisket extra fatty, they went out of their way to give me more marbled pieces — yummm! Everything we got was AWESOME: Brisket — the bbq sauce is a sweeter and thicker one, my fave. The extra marbled(as requested) pieces had a nice softer bark & really didn’t even need the sauce. Super flavorful, soooo good! The UAUA — pulled pork and coleslaw sammich. I’m usually not a fan of pulled pork but this stuff is delish! Their vinegar based slaw added the ideal amount of texure & crunch, & the soft roll was perfect Macaroni Salad — savory, but the bits of pineapple & plump raisins in it gave it a nice sweetness Smoked Chicken Salad — this would make an awesome sammich! Really finely minced chicken, mayo, & whatever else that makes this so yummy! OMY Fingers — the cutest, tiniest little meat-filled eggrolls, with sweet chili sauce for dipping. Not greasy, layers of thin crispy wrapper, dangerously addictive little guys! Puto — sweet rice cake, slightly coconutty, with a sweet cheese topping. Yum! Cassava Cake — yummy topping on a chewy caramel-y cake, sooooo good!!! They had a nice variety of chips & sodas, so if I worked nearby it would be easy to grab a lunch sammich or something here. They also had some Filipino food products, like sauces, noodles, and jars of coconut. I loved the warm service here, and all the food was AWESOME! I’ll definitely be back to try the lechon pig(they have it on weekends)!

Walk into this place and you’re greeted with a smile, a hello, and the mouth-watering aroma of smoked meats. The BBQ is as good as it gets ! No joke. The brisket is beefy, smoky and juicy tender, the way it ought to be. The ribs are just the way i like them, amazing ! Just the right amount of chew, not spongy like some of these other places that boil them first. Today I had one chicken skewer, and one pork skewer with a side of garlic rice(I love rice) for lunch. Both were truly outstanding, as is everything else so far. I stray from saucing my Q, and with meat this flavorful, there’s no need. The owners, Romeo and his wife Lalaine will make you feel like you’re their favorite customer. Great food, and friendly service will keep me coming back…

Brand spanking new family owned restaurant didn’t disappoint. Stopped by after several times of seeing this place and hubby couldn’t resist as he loves a good BBQ. We were treated like royalty by the owners and staff. She gave us samples of their delicious food which were finger licking good. Our meals were just as great no surprise there! We got ribs, a pulled pork sandwich, fries and OMY fingers. All super duper yummy and succulent. Stop by this place it won’t disappoint with their foods or customer service all exponential. Everything was amazing the ribs literally fall off the bone when you pick one up, the brisket melts in your mouth and the chicken has great flavor. Also had the wah-wah(pulled pork with coleslaw) one of the best sandwiches I have had in a longtime. The bbq sauce is a sweet, smoky, slightly tangy perfect balance of sweet and salt. The cucumber salad is great, it is similar to a freshly homemade pickle but with a deeper flavor profile. The owners were there and the lady let us sample the sides, which is great when your trying out a new place to eat. It is definitely worth the trip. They are open till 8 during the week and 6 on Sunday’s.

The beef brisket melts in your mouth… the pulled pork sandwich is delicious & juicy. The«egg rolls» aka OMY Fingers are delicious! Their North Carolina style Slaw(vinegar, not mayo) is great, as is their cucumber onion salad. Their Chicken Salad sandwich is made with roasted chicken, which makes it soooo flavorful! I love this place! Can’t wait to try it for breakfast… The owners are sweet as can be. They have remembered me every time I’ve come in. If I have a question about a menu item, not only do they answer it, but they will give me a sample of it as well This is quickly becoming a well-know & popular place, and their reputation is well deserved.

Tried this place the other day and it was simply delicious. Great friendly family run joint that does not disappoint. I had the brisket and tried the chicken and pork kabobs. They were all amazing. I wanted to try some other items but they were out of a few things. No biggie, cause I know I will be coming back soon. Also the sides were great. I had the vinegar cucumbers and onions that was on point and very refreshing, and also the collard greens that were decent. I highly recommend this place if your are looking for great BBQ hands down!
