Cheap Chinese food, you get what you pay for. I got the fried chicken wings with pork fried rice. only $ 5.50. Super filling, super greasy, and super cheap… now I feel fat.

The lunch cry of «Cheap Chinese!» resonates strong on some days, especially when it’s cold outside. Your criterion is basically five dollars of food, to go. With such low expectations, many candidates emerge but in reality, this is a solid local source of lunchtime happiness. You compromise very little in terms of taste and quantity. Oh, take for example Chicken Lo Mein. You can watch the cook put it all together, freshly made, and get out the door in about seven minutes. Chicken Rice soup, two minutes. They do a mean Spicy Beef. Given its location, they try to appeal to local tastes as well. For whatever reason, «Shrimp on a Stick» is huge here. People come in and order *one*. To me, that’s hilarious. What’s not so hilarious is the state of the restaurant. It’s dirty. I did see a roach on the floor one day, and I don’t think it was necessarily the only one. I don’t believe this is much different from other venues in the area, or even in my experience, but you should know it’s not a sit-down joint and it exists only to feed you expeditiously. Anecdotally, I eat here about once a week and I haven’t gotten sick yet, so hey, win!
