Great experience every time. Easy to navigate and find great gifts for any occasion. Also a great place to stop by and grab a frozen dinner from.

Horrible experience here. It was some sort of open house and they were NOT prepared for as many people as they had show up! Parking was ridiculous — pricing was horribly high — I really don’t see what all the hoopla is about! I found one item that I was willing to buy at the absorbent price, but I refused to wait in a line like that — I’m not wasting that much time trying to make a purchase!

I have loved this spot from the first time I walked through the door years ago! This amazing spot features a myriad of local artisans with everything you could imagine to furnish your home, find the perfect gift for a special occasion, or splurge on a one-of-a-kind gift for yourself! Housewares, jewelry, clothing, furniture, art, and edibles are just a few of the amazing items sprinkled about! Seasonal offerings are usually available as well. For example, I picked up 3 handcrafted glass ornaments on my last visit, and a pair of snuggly slippers. Convenient central checkout allows you to shop with ease and avoid the uncomfortable flea market feeling.

This unique baby and children’s boutique has lots to love. The Tutu dresses are handmade, unique and beautiful the come with a matching headband. They have the only collection, I know of, in Wilmington of Newborn Photography outfits ranging from handmade Minnie Mouse, A Puppy, Bunnies(in several colors), Turtle, Snail, Baby Owl, 2 different Sock Monkey’s(one in Grey and one in Pink), Brown Monkey and more. They carry many fancy dresses and none that I have ever seen around town. They also have a very large collection of summer hats and even hand knit or crocheted winter hats in the form of animal like owl’s and rabbits. If you catch the owner in the store she will give you a good discount. There are dress up costumes for boys as well as outfits and hats. They have a very large collection of Fedora’s some with sequins and some with printed designs. There are also Fairy Wings, toys, shoes and handmade sandals. Not to mention Blue Moon Gift Shops, it is located within, has free gift wrapping. There are over 100 stores to browse through inside Blue Moon Gift shops so you wont be disappointed.

This is nice shopping destination and good respite from the heat. Blue Moon reminds me of an upscale craft fair. There’s lots to choose from: handmade jewelry, pottery, signs, mermaids, clothing and home décor. Prices are reasonable considering the setting and quality. I would have upped my star if more of the goods were locally made and not Made in China cheapos. I can find that anywhere.

Because of the vast range from booth to booth at this handmade megastore, it’s difficult to settle on a single rating. Blue Moon brings more than 100 separate artists together under one roof, offering everything from your standard«mom clothes,» ceramics, and artwork to more unusual handcrafted items like upcycled accessories, unique jewelry and one-of-a-kind trinketry(my sister’s word for all the cool looking yet purposeless items she has scattered about her home). Like any gifty type place in Wilmington, there’s enough beach house décor in Blue Moon to outfit all of Wrightsville, but the aesthetics vary widely here. In addition to more traditional craft styles, you’ll find everything from punk to whimsy to modern. If you plan to visit, give yourself some time — the building is massive and even on my third time around I was still finding things I’d missed. Also, while I wouldn’t say Blue Moon carries nothing for the dude in your life, most of the crafts here appeal to those of the female persuasion. And finally — even if you’re starving after hunting through this maze of gifts, do not, DONOT eat at the quaint little café next door(see«Picasso’s Café» for review).
