This was the best value, best customer service, best doctor, best selection and just best experience I’ve ever had at the eye Dr. I priced out all local options and the price blew everyone out of the water. If you need glasses or contacts, or just a check up– GOTHERE!!!

I have read so many negative reviews about this company that I actually ended up Googling, «Does anyone have anything positive to say about America’s Best Contacts and Eyeglasses?» I found one location in Pennsylvania with several good reviews. The location in my area had two pretty good reviews, each on a different site. I’m writing this to try to help because my experience with them has been positive thus far. I have not yet received my glasses, so I may need to update this in the future. For now, I’ll say that I made an appointment online very quickly and easily. I went to the store at the time of my appointment and was greeted and assisted in a timely manner and everyone I had interaction with was friendly and helpful. My eye exam consisted of several parts and seemed thorough. The doctor was honest about the fact that I have pretty perfect eye sight and really only need readers for up close reading since my complaint was that things are getting blurry and harder to see up close and my eyes often feel tired. She said this was normal decline in eye-sight, given my age(44). She did not falsify information just to get me to buy glasses and said I could certainly go to Dollar Tree and get some +1.25 readers for $ 1, if I wanted. I did have a slight astigmatism in one eye causing things to also be just a little blurry at a distance, as well. She said if I was uncomfortable with it and the things she tried during the exam made things look more crisp, she could write a prescription for that and include a magnifier so they could also be used as readers. I agreed to this since not getting glasses here would mean I had to pay for the exam($ 49.99 plus the $ 15.00 extra I chose to spend to get an additional exam) and getting these glasses meant the exam would then be free. I would have spent $ 40-$ 50 on two pairs of decent readers anyway. While looking at frames, I was promptly assisted with picking out two pair from the 2 for $ 69.95 area, which was pretty big. I tried on several different ones and the employee gave me her honest opinion of which ones seemed to look and fit best on my face. She took her time and was not pushy. She answered my questions and made me feel like I had her undivided attention. When I went to check out, I was asked only once if I would like anti-glare, etc. When I said no, I wasn’t pushed. I was rung up for the cost I expected with no hidden charges or unwanted additions. I’ll post an update once I pick up the glasses!(I promise it won’t be as lengthy as this one!)

I’m somewhat impressed with this place. I have Tricare Prime. Usually my eye exams are free. However I’m South region and where I am currently located in North region(NC? North? C’mon Tricare!) I get my glasses online, so basically I needed an RX. This place gives you a couple pair of cheap glasses with your RX. Why not?! I’ve gotta pay either way. Great customer service. Made an appointment online. Had no problems. The exam was quick, easy and very professional. I will update when I pick up my glasses.
