Great place to dine, don’t let their silly logo on the building fool u… Yes, their logo is cartoonish, leading you to think this is like a 5 guys or a more fast food place, it’s not. Great ambience, usually good service, always great food. We took a chance back in 2011 stopping in and now it’s a must stop when we’re in the area. Overall, decent prices(considering the area) and great food. Burgers these days at chains like Applebees are commanding at least $ 10, which is crazy, but at 2 Fat Guys, this meal is def a treat worth it. Sadly I love the burger/salad combo so much i have not ventured to try anything else but I have heard the wings are great. I’d love to try their ribs one day too. Lobster bisque=amazing. Their burgers, REALLY good and juicy, both homemade BBQ sauces r very good too… and they have a WONDERFUL walnut strawberry spring salad that is available all year round and tastes as fresh as summer even in the winter. I love that u can get a half burger and a salad, which is just enough 4 me! I look forward 2 eating there and definitely consider this a favorite restaurant. I reallly love their homemade BBQ sauces! Especially the pear-BBQ but I had no clue that I would. Very creative and yummy! Hopefully they’ll expand elsewhere too… I would like to see them in the Newark area. We eat at their Greenville location, and we have tried the Hockessin one as well but although the food is the same and great, the Hockessin one is set up like a pizza parlor. Definitely prefer the ambience, lighting and comfy seating of the Greenville location. Service is hit or miss but sadly this is how it is everywhere. If in doubt, get take out: OD This is not a chain, it is a small business run by 2 former chefs to touring rock stars(which is why you will see their pics on the wall with all these musicians… took me a while to figure it out). Again, one of my favorite places I wish were closer, definitely give them a try! Happy Eats felllow traveler!

Loveeeeeee the food. The service is slow and not very friendly. A bit on the expensive side. But depending on what ur getting, it’s worth the money.

The food here is okay. Run of the mill burgers, pulled pork and salads. But what on Earth are they doing in the kitchen?! There were 8 people in our party today; 4 of us had a salad. We ordered at 1:05 and received the first plate 45 minutes after placing the order. Sad thing was we were there for lunch on Monday too and it took just as long to receive our meals. Next time our group suggests going there I will be going somewhere quicker.

Really good for takeout or eat in! Great flavors to choose from on the wings! If you are getting take out just use some common sense as you would anywhere you get take out and check your order. Yes, you would think they would always get it right but stuff happens & again just makes sense to check your orders that way it won’t put a damper on things right!

Arrived 5:22pm seated right away. 7pm and have not gotten our food yet. Party of 14 with 7 adults and 7 children. We asked and kept getting the same story… It will be right out. We have watched as couples and families have come in to eat after us and are done their meals and have left. Orders finally come out at 7:25. The excuse from the manager was that they are not used to this much business since most of their orders are bar food and take-out! Poor excuse and poor food and that is the total truth. The so called chef even tried to apologize saying he was sorry and he was just overloaded with orders. Yeah, thanks for the apology but it looks like that doobie slowed you down! Now our entire party was extremely late for the Cub Scout overnight trip at the Delaware Museum. You better think twice or have about 3 hours time on your hands before going here and choose another option. I actually feel bad for the waitresses who were forced to lie to children and tell them over and over again that their simple meals of chicken tenders would be right out…2 hours later! Not even worth a star.

The food is good, but the service is terrible. I’ve had to wait 25+ minutes a couple times just for them to bring out the appetizers(at a relatively quiet time). If you get an order to go, call ahead, because you’ll be waiting a good 25 – 30 minutes. I’ve also tried to go three times(once here, twice at the 202 takeout location) about an hour before they were supposed to close, and they weren’t open. If your website or sign on the door says you’re open until a certain time, I recommend actually being open. It’s a shame.

I would caution anyone who orders take-out from this location, particularly if their order includes any children’s meals, to check the food before they go home. I’ve had several orders that have been incomplete. French fries missing, chicken tenders sauce missing, dessert item missing. Always something just minor enough to not make it worth it to go back, but still puts a damper on things.

The food was phenomenal. Everything was cooked perfectly. And the ability to change your burger to the low carb option with low carb tortilla is amazing. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because the service was slow and very unresponsive.

Unfortunately, this review is not based on the food but on the service. Went to lunch yesterday and last week and both the server and hostess were very rude. Our server consistently went to other tables to see how they were doing, however consistently walked right by our table w/out acknowledgment. We then had to ask the hostess for service that should have been supplied by our server & received rolled eyes and snobby remarks laced with attitude. I really like the food here and would love to return, but after a few too many negative experiences with poor service, unfortunately, yesterday’s visit will be my last:-(

Nice beer selection, good food and service staff was attentive and friendly. I am not a big fan of the atmosphere … Low ceiling and dark woods from the previous restaurant(amalfi: an Italian joint) it felt as though some one should have been«crumbing» our table. A burger spot with other choices … In my option should be light and airy, just saying. We will be back but there are many other spots we have to go too first.

Food is only ok. Went there for lunch and the service was very slow for a burger and a salad. I was told it was due to the busy time of lunch. Took 2 hours to have lunch

Great wings, burgers, and beer. You’ll get a lot for your money here and the wait service is great. I got the half and half combo, which was more than enough food. You can even get a half order of the wings, which I recommend. The peanut butter sauce was so good!

This is a great place to come get a fantastic burger, a good beer, and a delicious appetizer. The waitstaff are very friendly, and they are very accommodating. The nacho appetizer is delicious. The beer selection is a notch above average and the prices are great. Dinner for four will come in well under $ 100 without alcohol. Add plenty of wine and beer and you’re only slightly above. If I had to change one thing about this restaurant it would be the décor. It’s totally outdated. It doesn’t detract from the friendliness of the waitstaff or the quality of the food(which is consistently good) but if you are looking for atmosphere 2 Fat Guys needs to update a little. Some new paint, a tin ceiling, and more pictures that tell the story of the two guys would be absolutely perfect. This is the second restaurant they opened with the first one being off route 41 north of hockessin. I’ve been here twice, and it’s reliable enough to say that I will come back. I would love to see a larger beer selection and an updated décor, but it won’t stop me from making another stop.

Ordered wings — they have some interesting flavors to choose from. We ended up with ginger thai and one of the bbqs. Honestly they did not blow us away but we had good service and would go back for a second meal.

The food was fine. We got a BLT and a Cuban Sandwich, but the service was not attentive and when we went to ask them for our check(because we had waited for so long), all of them were sitting at the bar on their phones. So while the food was okay, would like a more attentive and present staff.

Always a good experience here. The service is great and the food as well. I usually go for the wings and their great sauces. Chili is always a good call here also. This particular time I got the black and blue burger which was exactly what I was craving. The beef patty itself was nothing special but the seasoning and toppings made it. It never seems to be really crowded inside there though which confuses me since I always enjoy the experience.

Stopped in yesterday for a quick bite to eat. We were just passing thru and decided to give it a try. Nice clean pub style look, very friendly staff. Our server, Kelly, suggested the tomato soup which was not too spicy but full of flavor(roasted pepper) Excellent! Next was the salad — grilled chicken, lettuce, tomato, etc I’ve had similar plates BUT this was one of the best! Large portion and all the ingredients were fresh, very satisfying. My wife got the ½ BLT with a salad. I like there idea of ½ — it would have been full size in other places! Would definitely return.

Nothing too incredibly special, but definitely a place I’ll be going to plenty of times in the future, as I just moved to a place that is right down the street. I had never been in a 2 Fat Guys place before but I expected it to be something like Five Guys(maybe because they both have«Guys» in their names) and have more of a «diner» setting. 2 Fat Guys sported more of a classy English pub style, complete with a wood bar, dark woodwork, tan textured paint, and dim lighting. My party was seated right away, though unfortunately next to a screaming kid. There were many other tables in the restaurant that were open, but we were confined to a room straight back from the entrance that only contained us and a family with a kid that was going ballistic. I was a little peeved that the host didn’t even notice, but I wasn’t too bothered so we decided to stay at the table. The food itself was excellent. I got the Fajita Burger and the other person in my party got a chicken salad of some sort. My burger was *enormous.* I pride myself on being able to eat a lot in one sitting, but I don’t think I had ever encountered a burger that I needed to slice into smaller pieces due to my mouth not being big enough to take a bite out of it… until now. The burger tasted great, though, as were the fries that came with it. Both were flavorful and cooked perfectly; and, there was just enough food to nearly put me to sleep on the drive home. The service was pleasant, the atmosphere(other than the uncooperative kid) was nice, and the food was awesome. The experience, however, wasn’t spectacular, thus 4 stars. Give it a try if you’re around!

I tend to give a high rating to a restaurant with nice bathrooms, not that I check the bathroom at every restaurant. But 2 Fat Guys at this location fully satisfied my expectations with the food as well. Thanks to Tracey H’s review, I got interested and decided to have lunch here today. On the contrary of the name«2 Fat Guys», this place has a very healthy and handy menu called«Half Salad & Half Sandwich». They even do «half burger» for a dollar extra. I got exactly the same as Tracey H and had the half strawberry salad and half a burger. The server was very nice and even asked me how I liked the burger to be done. I enjoyed both the salad and the half burger very much for $ 9.99 + tip.
