Sorry, but there is nothing«sophisticated» about this store. It is a bunch of old junk thrown into a location on the North Shore that it does not belong in. It looks like an old woman’s attic, but not in a cool vintage or antique way. Unless you think naked doll heads and prosthetic legs as decoration is sophisticated. Then shop away. Also if you want this caliber of «art» classes, I suggest making a vase at those children’s classes offered at Color Me Mine, or any kiosk at Navy Pier. You’ll get better results.

What’s not to like? I swear I walked in and found something to love in every nook and cranny of this gorgeous shop… and I didn’t even make it to the downstairs sale area! Step in, and you’ll immediately locate something for anyone and everyone you know. I found gift items as low as $ 20(perfect for stocking stuffers). You’ll find a great mix of merchandise, from soaps to art to clothing. You can also grab an espresso at the coffee bar while you shop. The boutique owner is an artist and busy world traveler. She has trinkets from all parts of the globe, from Russia to the Chicagoland area. All artisan made. Persimmon also has their own line of beautiful clothing they are in the process of developing. Clothing ranges from cute to sophisticated dresses and tops, to scarves and fun printed socks. And no worries on finding the perfect accessory. Throw on a fabulous bangle or pair of handmade earrings. And, just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, they also host art classes and special events. You can also host an event of your own here. I attended an adult birthday party event, and it was a great way to spend the night after hours with friends.

I was introduced to Persimmon boutique from a friend who won a free painting party there. As soon as I met Pam and her staff I was impressed. I met a lot of positive people there while painting and Pam had a Chef there to prepare some exquisite desserts, and I was hooked on the place. Pam has beautiful one of a kind jewels, clothing, and many other eclectic items in her boutique. She even has many coffee choices to choose from. This is a beautiful new treasure in Wilmette and I will continue to paint, sip my coffee, and admire the beautiful varieties in her boutique for many years to follow… Kathy from Skokie, IL

What a beautiful space. Just stepping inside for a cappuccino, I was immersed in an enchanting environment. There’s art and craft-made clothing, jewelry, home furnishings. And painting parties here, too. Worth a visit!

Persimmon Art of Wilmette is an amazing place. The espresso is a wonderful, I spent a couple hours looking at the jewelry and original art works. The owner Pamela is very easy to talk with and very knowledgeable. My wife is looking forward to their Women’s Night and BYOB coming up in February. Take time and look around you will be amazed!
