Little Sunshine’s Playhouse

Initially I seen the ad for this school in the «Chicago Parent» magazine and thought what an amazing concept for a daycare. Since Little Sunshine’s Playhouse would be brand new to Illinois I was a bit hesitant about sending my daughter here because it didn’t have any history or proved excellence. I then began to research this school fully and examined the other facilities in different states, mainly Texas, and Colorado, and I was very impressed with what I found. I decided to give this daycare/​preschool a chance since their were so many positive aspects for me such as the cameras that you can view from your computer, child pickup from your car, and the Emilio Reggio curriculum to name a few.
Since beginning here my 4 year old daughter tells me she feels like a princess going to this castle like school, and constantly tells me how nice the teachers are which I have witnessed firsthand. When I pick up my daughter the teachers actually introduce themselves to me, and all of them seem to know her by name which shows she gets paid attention to. It also really perks up my day when I read the «Love Note» sent daily to my e-​mail with a picture of my daughter. I had previously toured many other preschools in the area and I always found something wrong with them whether it was the facility itself or the staff, and the one that I thought was just ok for the price was full with long wait list. I’m so happy that I finally found a daycare I can trust and that my daughter loves more importantly.
I’m also so impressed with the child to teacher ratio in my daughter’s class, as it is much lower than the 10 to 1 ratio I’ve seen at all of the other facilities I toured. I expect this may change in the future but for now I can see how much she is learning because she gets more one on one time with the teacher. They also do Science experiments daily as I seen from watching the cameras and have fun while doing it which is so important at that age. Lastly, I can’t ignore how this school has gone out of the way to make my family and I feel welcome here and I am so grateful for that. They have done numerous special events for their grand opening and to come an «Ice cream Social» for the kids, and participation in a parade. I couldn’t ask for a more loving and caring environment staffed with academically excellent teachers. Finding this daycare has taken a huge burden off me, it’s never easy leaving a small child somewhere for 6 hours or more. The price is also very comparable to other daycare’s in the area.

I can’t say enough good things about Little Sunshine’s Playhouse. Wonderful project based play curriculum, loving teachers and wonderful management! I highly recommend anyone looking for great care for their infant to Pre– K age children to take a look at Little Sunshine’s first. Thank you Little Sunshine’s you have changed my families life!
