Sal’s Pizza and Italian Restaurant

Went there with my friend to grab some pizza at lunch. The lady at the counter was nice, place was clean. They had a lunch special 2 slices in the case and a soda for 6.99. I looked in the case and all the slices were pretty boring, regular slices mostly, with no red sauce on any of them. So we picked plain, and a buffalo chicken slice. The buffalo slice had way to much white sauce, we didn’t eat it. And the other slices had no red sauce, mostly dry dough. Then the man behind the counter kept picking up slices with his bare hands and scratching his arms. YUCK. Sorry, wouldn’t return there.

Very impolite service from the staff. Me & a friend walked in to order food the place is very small and cozy which was nice. As I picked up the menu I noticed that the Lunch Special was #3 Turkey Club which cost $ 6. The more expensive then the Regular All day Turkey club sandwich Burgers for $ 6.95.
I waited at the counter for 3 minutes while I watched both man continue there Conversation and completely ignore me even when they saw me approached the counter.
I ignored the rudeness and rolled it off my shoulder .
Another sign of disrespect I encounter was when he did approach me his words was
«What do u want ?»
I was speechless for a few seconds then …
I Asked the Staff that since this was my First Time here maybe I was missing something
He said «Look at the Menu don’t u see the Difference ?»
I said No I was confused .
He pointed to the black board which had smeared chalk that said free soda .!
My Friend order food .
I will not spend my money here nor will I be ever interested in coming back !!!
Discrimination… Yes

We were visiting the area and needed to find a place for a quick dinner with 3 small kids in tow. The food was really really good (pizza, salad, cheesesteak hoagie, fries). The service was good and prices reasonable.

I love their pizza! Very thin crust! My favorite is mushroom pizza. Sals uses fresh mushrooms always.

We ate there while vacationing in Lancaster. We ordered a large pizza and four drinks. The service was good, as was the pizza. The sauce tasted fresh and the pizza was very cheesy. It was a bit too cheesy for my taste, but my husband and two children had no complaints. We will definitely visit again if we are in the mood for pizza while we are in town.

One of my favorite pizza places in Lancaster. My husband and I are moving 45 min away from them and are sad that now we’re going to have to find another pizza place as good as them.
1 — Their cheese and sauce are good. Not too sweet and the cheese isn’t sickening.
2– Great dough for the pizza. Has a nice crisp to it.
3– Their cheesesteaks aren’t bad for being outside of Philadelphia. Nothing beats other places I’ve had, but considering the area, they’re pretty good. (I esp. love their Chicken cheesesteak!)
4– Their menu entrees are pretty good. Standard pizzaria fare, but they do a good job.
5– The cooks and waitstaff are awesome! The owner, Max is a great guy.
Overall, highly recommend them for a good pizza.

It’s not bad. I do love their cheesesteaks. Pizza is more ny style not like pizza hut or dominos. The do serve other dishes which so far hasn’t made me sick. So with that said it’s a good place.
