Hey Charlotte don’t tell any one but your CHEAP ! You don’t go to a classy restaurant and expect great food and free refills of your drinks. Grecos is a great place for fine Italian food. I drive 38miles from Carol Stream, IL to eat there. And as far as the price, who cares, you’re going out to treat yourself, enjoy it you don’t do it every day. Grecos has great food and very good service I personally love the Baked Clams, Deliciouso.

Took my wife to Greco’s and what an experience. Nicely located across from the forest preserves, classy ambiance. Stopped at the bar prior to our 8 pm reservation, ordered a drink and ended up talking to the owner, Carmalee. She was very nice and proceeded to seat us a little early. The waitress, Tammy, was very friendly and attentive, explaining the specials. We had baked clams as an app, I had the Goat Cheese Pasta and my wife had the Chicken Limone. The food was awesome, generous portions and reasonably priced. Oh yeah, love the homemade raspberry vinaigrette salad dressing. Highly recommend Greco’s of Willow Springs.

A very classy place… It reminds me of the family restaurants I visited in northern Italy years ago. It was busy when we arrived last night, but our service was prompt, the server was helpful, friendly and professional. She even let my friend sample a couple wine choices. We had homemade warm crusty bread with chilled garlic butter, lettuce salad with creamy gorgonzola dressing that is homemade(YUM!!), calamari salad, shrimp in a butter sauce, and chicken marsala with mushroom sauce. I definitely would go there again. We had a chance to visit with one of the owners, Carmalee Greco Kipnis, and Chef Lori. I’d had a chance to meet Chef Lori one afternoon a few months earlier, when I got a gift certificate for a friend. Lori has a clear pride in her work. Carmalee told us Monday, May 2nd, 2016 will be Greco’s 26th anniversary. I love the tilted sign outside, and asked her why. Carmalee tilted her head slightly, smiled wistfully, and said, «To see the world from a different perspective.» How lovely! I am proud to support local, especially when great people and places like this feed into the ambiance of our quaint village nestled in the woods and hills, near the hiking and biking trails of Willow Springs.

Went with a group of 9 ladies for a book club meeting. We received a nice table, out of the way of the very few diners who were there on a Wednesday night. The table location is the best thing I can say about my experience! Our server was less than friendly, the food was very mediocre at best, priced too high for what we received. Luckily someone in my group, who was feeling more generous gave her a good, above average tip. With so few customers there, maybe its time to close this place up… décor dated, food less than stellar, Nothing good to say

We’ll never go there again. Ruined our New Year’s dinner. Appetizers took forever. Then, food took so long, it came minutes before our seating ended. Management was no help at all and sent us out, even though the food delays were their fault.

So I wanted to go to eat here today because the food is good but I was informed that at my mom’s funeral luncheon we were charged for every pop(no free refills). Really? Also a bit pricy overall and the waitresses acted like they were put out by us being there. Also I want to make a note that we would of gone there every time we went to Resurrection but not now.

I saw Chicagos Best back in Sept and Elliott you nailed it! The Lasagna is stacked high and is ever so good. And the Meatball that accompanies the dish is really well done along with the Meat sauce it is served with.

I dunno about the negative reviews, our server, Tammy, was attentive, very personable, and was quite free with suggestions regarding wine and menu items. I was pleased with the menu, the flavor of the foods, the portions, and the prices. Most of the entrees were classic Italian dishes. I had the lasagne, and it did not disappoint. Sauce was sweet, with distinct fennel seasoning. Hubby had meat ravioli, same sauce, large portion. Nice cappucinos, flourless chocolate cake for dessert, very rich. Free self parking in their lot. It’s a homey little place. I am sure we will be back!

We are very happy to have this quality restaurant so close to home. What we like: linguine with clam sauce, aglio olio with anchovies, the bow tie pasta with sausage n goat cheese. Chicken scallopini was a special one night: awesome. They even made it for me another time as it’s not on the menu. Good eggplant parm, great service, yummy spin on cannoli. I think two sisters run it, go girls!

Have been going to greco’s for over 20 years. Food is always good, décor is meh and in need of updating. If you want a little more ambiance ask for the front room, else you’ll be sitting in the main room that will remind you of a old Wisconsin tavern. Veal parm is definitely one of the best around and the Sunday Gravy with fennel is the best! No Chain food here!

This restaurant is absolutely atrocious. It is very small, has virtually no vegetarian options, and has the most uncivilized, rude waitresses I have ever met. Upon entering, I immediately noticed that the restaurant was fairly small, with a very tiny bathroom. Our waitress greeted us with a very brusque manner, and as her attitude worsened, my family and I felt that the best thing to do was leave and find a different place to eat. I would definitely NOT recommend eating here.

Food is good, Service is horrible. The only person attentive to our needs was the busboy. It’s been about 10 years since I’ve been here and it will be at least another 10 years before I go back. And it wasn’t just our waitress. I think it’s an overall attitude, starting with the hostess. I felt like my party of 6 was a burden for everyone. Very disappointed. Don’t waste your time or money.

I have been a regular patron of Greco’s for years. I recently moved back to the Chicago area after being out east for four years, and when I resumed dining at Greco’s, I was pleased to see the food and service was just as good as I remembered it. And tonight — July 11 — was no different. One of the special entrees for today was a gnocchi dish in a buttery sauce, with escarole and red bell pepper, topped with choice of shrimp or chicken. I chose the shrimp. The gnocchi tasted very good, and wasn’t too heavy. I couldn’t finish, though, so I got it wrapped. If you stick with items on the main menu, I have my favorites. First, the lasagna is a big hit. It’s a generous portion, with a very tasty sauce, which is an original recipe of Carmalee’s(the owner) mom. Second, if you like something with a kick, my other favorite entrée is the Pork Chops Spitzatel, in which two pork chops are smothered in a spicy marinara sauce with roasted potatoes and peas. It goes nicely with a white wine. After that, if you have room for dessert, you cannot go wrong with a slice of amaretto cheesecake. A cradle Catholic boy like me always feels the need to go to confession after eating a dessert like that. If you’re looking for a nice meal in a place with a fine ambience, you should give Greco’s a try. You will not be disappointed.

First, the food. It was outstanding — tasty, quick, plentiful and presented very well. Second(but not in rating), the service. From the owner on, they are great. Rather than just take your order, they offer suggestions, discuss options, and listen. Third, and most importantly, they truly CARE about the food, service and customers. Before, during and after our luncheon, Carm(owner) made us feel part of the family. She was great. Thanks again for everything!

Always so impressed with Greco’s list of specials. No restaurant in the area or any surrounding South Suburban restaurant offers such a creative variety from appetizers to main course items. Veal Parm, Chicken Piccata, and Chicken Marsala our some of my favorites. Their meat sauce is made with fennel seed — signature taste and so delicious but you have to ask for it as many of their dishes come with marinara sauce which is just ok. Also, on several occasions I’ve ordered a full pan lasagna for holidays and special occasions. The lasagna(weights several pounds) is prepared without any sauce(provided in a to go container) which sounds odd but really is quite genius. You just heat the lasagna through, slice per person and spoon the delicious sauce over each piece. I agree with past reviews that the atmosphere is a bit old school but that’s part of it’s home cooked charm. No franchise food here.

Great food, inside needs to be renovated. The food is as good as any other Italian restaurant in the area. However, the portion sizes are a little smaller than other restaurants in the area. The inside is long overdue for a renovation. In fact, I would almost argue that it needs to close and start over from the studs. Would be nice to make it a little more fancy, maybe with real tablecloths as the wipe-down vinyl checkered table covers remind me of a crappy pizza joint. For a dine-in experience it is on the expensive side given the interior and atmosphere with small portions. Owners need to give the patrons a food value for driving out here, and providing sub-par interior. Service was as needed.

How could anyone not give Greco’s a 5-star rating. Food, environment, service, desserts. Absolutely the perfect restaurant to relax and enjoy an awesome meal in a relaxing environment. I had the Gluten-free version of Goat cheese pasta in a creamy tomato sauce and spicy sausage. For dessert it was Cannoli Dip.

Greco’s of Willow Springs is a classic Italian restaurant. We’ve been going there for years. The food is always fantastic and the service is great. Tonight I had this stuffed artichoke for an appetizer and then the spinach ravioli with their meat sauce, so delicious! This is a restaurant that you absolutely can’t go wrong with.

Mmmehhh So so. There are a ton of italian joints neat this location and I felt obligated to explore since all but one is really worth going to over and over again. Without exception(unfortunately) this one left me wanting to go to my normal place. To save time searching my reviews — the best italian joint hands down in the area is Capri(bur ridge and not any other — the other locations do not compare to bur ridge). If you know of a great place for me to explore — please let me know. I get tired of going to the same place all the time but feel compelled because the others don’t live up to the tradition of fantastic Italian cuisine.

After living less than a mile from Greco’s for the past six years, my wife and I finally decided to give it a try. We’d heard good things about the gluten-free items, and true to expectations, they were more than accommodating and offered to make nearly anything on the menu gluten free. The problem I had with Greco’s is the average food at above average prices. Everything we ordered was decent. But unfortunately we were expecting to be blown away, and simply weren’t. The minestrone soup was good. The bread was hot and fresh. And our stuffed poblano pepper surrounded by bruschetta was very tasty. Unfortunately, neither my wife nor I cared for the harsh tasting marinara sauce which accompanies the majority of the menu’s entrees. It had an overwhelmingly sour flavor that immediately turned me off. A self-proclaimed member of the Clean Plate Club, I didn’t even finish half my pasta. Greco’s, we wanted to love you, but you lost us with your yucky marinara and yuckier high prices. Next time we’ll not be so lazy and drive a little farther to find better.
