This is my current default spot for sushi. I keep it simple for our take out orders. If you like rolls without crunch/panko and a smattering of sauce, stick to their 50% off rolls like the salmon & avocado roll. 2 rolls(12 pieces) is enough to fill me up. The rolls are actually a bit big with decent sized chunks of fish. Sushi house isn’t Sagami level quality but on par with what you’ll find everywhere.

One is greeted with a modern feel upon entering this little eatery. It’s about 6 booths, a sushi bar, and a table for 8 – 10. This place was full when we are. There was a constant flow of people picking up takeout. I enjoyed the«spicy girl roll», House roll, and the spicy tuna of course. Priced well. Presentation pleasing to the mouth and palate. Would certainly go again.

This is definitely my go to place for sushi. The rice coating the sushi is just the right amount. My favorite roll is definitely house roll, and make sure to try the mackerel sashimi. It taste so fresh and yummy unlike the buffet version. The ultimate best thing about this place beside their food is their price! 50% off sushi

Place is very small and smell little weird but food was good overall! Price was very cheap and satisfied. But pha Thai was horrible. I never ever tasted that bad pha Thai before in any place. Ugh.

Ordered for pickup, it was tucked away in a small shopping strip with ample parking and a nice restaurant. We purchased 2 of the 3-roll deals and found the sushi to be very good, he rice was exceptionally nice. Just the right amount of ginger and washabi was included and my pick-up was ready when I arrived. This is a little out of the way for a weekly lunch but on the weekend, with the reduced traffic, I found this a great place to grab good sushi to go. I will definitely frequent the Sushi House again.

Great takeout place for sushi! The restaurant itself is pretty tiny and it gets awkward waiting for your order since there’s no where to stand hahah but other than that, the sushi is very delicious and I guess somewhat cheap. Easy to order over the phone. It’s my go-to sushi takeout place lol

Found this place through Unilocal, and also thought other reviews were helpful as well. Food quality is good, the siracha and tempura crumbs are delicious, and if you dig far enough you’ll find some sushi under it all(only sad part is you realize after a moment you’re just eating spicy mayo and bread crumbs, with some fish in there somewhere). I enjoy the food and I don’t complain about it because I sincerely enjoyed it for the most part, but it can be deceptive to compare this to an «actual sushi resturaunt,» Mcdonalds is a real American resturaunt, but you go in there with a different mindset than that of Capital Grille. In other words its good carry out sushi, as I would get carry out from the local chinese place, but I’m not going to sit and pretend I’m eating at PF Changs. Food is good, however there are different tiers for even sushi, and it’s fastfood grade sushi, if there was such a thing. Service quality isn’t bad, they won’t bother you unless you ask them too, which can be preferable at times than someone fishing for tips all day. Overall foods great, just don’t complain if you find a hair or two, you get what you pay for ;)

Ordered from here again for take out. The food is consistently fine. My issue is the ordering process. I called the order in and repeated my order several times. The woman taking the call must have been distracted and managed to screw up my order(adding extra quantities of items). Luckily for them, I was in a huge rush when I came to get the food and I paid for the extra items just to get out of there. I will most likely return however I will require my order be read back to me next time I call.

First I was very skeptical about coming here, because the prices were extremely cheap. I’ve had bad experiences with eating cheap sushi; A few times I ended up getting sick because the fish wasn’t fresh. But this place is pretty legit for the price you pay. Because it was so cheap, my husband and I ended up going a little crazy and ordered a whole bunch of rolls. Needless to say, they hit the spot and we will definitely be back for more! Definitely not a fancy type of sushi place, if you are into those sort of stuff. But it’s cheap and the quality isn’t so bad!

This place was really great! The inside is small but not in a bad way. The sushi was excellent! And you can’t bear the prices! So affordable. I have been wanting to find a good sushi place near by and this was it! Can’t wait to go back!

Very good sushi! We got the spicy tuna, spicy salmon, shrimp tempura, and the red snapper roll. Shrimp tempura was my favorite! Best I’ve had in a while. Definitely recommend for the lunch special mon-Saturday until 3pm which is a great deal.

Loveeee the food here! The sushi is great. My favorites are the spicy girl roll, rainbow roll, and the one I tell everyone about is the crispy spicy salmon and tuna rolls! Yum! The shrimp fried rice is definitely to die for also. My fiancé is always willing to drive to go get some. Which is huge because he never wants to go anywhere to get food after work. Definitely try the food here!

Great little neighborhood gem! Enjoyed the vegetable dumpling soup(a lil heavy on the ginger though). Had the AAC roll, avocado roll and sweet potato roll. I was totally shocked how amazing the sweet potato roll was, sooo yummy! And the best thing is great service for a relaxed evening @ this BYOB. We will add this to our list of go to places :-)

My husband and I have tried Sushi House 3 times! We are excited to have a good sushi place so close to us. The sushi is very good. I love the ChoCho roll– the fish is always good. I also love the soup(I’ve had the miso and the clear soup,) and the vegetable tempura is excellent. The downside– the restaurant is very small, and the other food has been average, i.e. the udon was a bit soupy when we went there this past weekend. The service is friendly and attentive. I left my credit card there once and they were very kind and responsive when I called– they held on to it for me and asked to see my license when I came to get it :) We still really like Sushi House and will continue to go!

Not a bad place if looking for cheap sushi. Looks like they took over Mei’s Diner. Hopefully not the same owner, since that management was terrible. I ordered a handful of rolls –salmon roll, tuna roll, spider roll, Alaskan roll, shrimp tempura, to name a few. Also had the ginger dressing salad and some tuna and salmon sashimi. Fish — the salmon tasted fresh. I eat a lot of sushi and the salmon is definitely up to par with the finer restaurants. The tuna, however, was definitely not fresh. Crumbled in my mouth with each bite. And being that tuna was my favorite, a majority of my order was tuna so I was disappointed. I couldn’t even finish the tuna. The rice to fish ratio for the rolls was great. Not too much rice, so you can really taste the fish. However, since the tuna wasn’t fresh, this wasn’t a positive. Good on the salmon rolls though. And the presentation was spectacular. The wait staff was very attentive without being bothersome. No complaints there. At 50% off the menu price, the place is a good deal. We’re talking about $ 3 for a basic salmon roll and $ 5-$ 6 for a specialty roll like a spider roll(soft shell crab roll). I would come back to TRY it again, but this place was nothing to write home about. The tuna was bad, but that could just be an off night. Though as a professional sushi chef, you would think they would’ve realized the bad fish by the texture and not serve it to a customer. Unless they didn’t care…

Goodbye, Mei’s Asian Diner — hello, Sushi House, featuring 50% off sushi! I’m not sure exactly when this place opened for business, but the receipt still says Mei’s at the top, so were talking pretty recently. A standard sushi bar menu — see pictures. Not everything is 50% off, but most of the sushi is. They also do Pad Thai. We had the seaweed salad which was standard, good; the pork gyoza, which was excellent — some of the best we have had, and vegetable tempura — sweet potato, onion, green beans, zucchini, carrot — very nice. The salmon sushi was very fresh. The Sunshine Roll — with banana — was almost a dessert sushi — was very delicious. The scallop tempura roll was crunchy and tasty. The Hawaiian Roll — with two types of mango — very nicely done! Finally the Pink Lady Roll was sort of like Chinese food in a sushi roll. We eat a lot of sushi and thought this was very good quality. Hopefully the low prices — which do not seem to be a short term promotion, as they are printed on the menu — will help this place thrive.
