This place seems like they have great food but I just can’t get past how rude the workers are. Dare to ask a question because I don’t know a lot about Italian food but I was trying to learn. I live local, visited here three times because I wanted to try different things but every time they treat me like I’m a big bother.

Hey y’all, I am from Tulsa Oklahoma and come and visit my family a few times a year. My sister in law and I always come to Sam’s when I am in town. I am limited in what I can bring back. We don’t have a good Italian store here unless you want to drive about 50 miles. I bring back the rolls for sure and my favorite tomato pie and lupine beans. I wish you had a mail order business because I would be ordering at least once a month. Your prices are excellent and have enjoyed all products especially the tomatoe pie. People have asked if we have Cowboys and Indians. Yes our Cowboys are fun watching on The movie channel and the Indians own all the casinos.

I’m from NYC and sometimes go home to get a good cannoli. After giving SAMs a try I no longer have to trek 2 hours to NYC, I have a great cannoli 5 mins from my house. I love their lil grocery store, I usually buy fresh ricotta and things like that. I love that they carry Lydia’s jarred sauce. Their hoagies are ok, their hit or miss, depending on who makes it. My mom is feeling sick after their roast beef sandwich, she thinks the meat was bad. My Don hoagie was a bit strong in taste that acquires a certain taste but it was fresh. The broccoli rabe is amazing. I’m gonna keep my eye out on the hoagies, if I have another bad experience I won’t be ordering the hoagies any more.

Sam’s market is like a little bit of South Philadelphia tucked away in Willow Grove. You have the standard frozen meatballs, pasta and sauces, along with a wonderful delli counter. They make fantastic hoagies using house baked rolls, freshly sliced meat, and a great selection of toppings. Where else in the area are you going to be able to get a mortadella hoagie?

My family loves Sam’s Italian Market!!! Fresh rolls, meats and cheeses which is the perfect combo to make a delicious sandwich! They have great Italian subs and their frozen lobster ravioli is filled with lobster which was very flavorful. Two thumbs up!

Every time I hear the name«Sam’s Italian» I gag thanks to memories of a cannoli stuffed with the usual suspects and a wad of hair. Disgusting! I can’t even.

I have a soft spot for Italian markets so 5 stars for being nearby as the next closest 00 flour is 3 – 5 days away on the amazon. In actuality, 3.5 stars.

One of my absolute favorite places to shop for groceries and prepared food. Prices are a bit higher than the supermarket, but you’re getting much better quality. Delicious tomato pie.

This place is great if only for their deli selection. Their smooth operation of getting you in and out of there also is impressive. I went there on a Saturday afternoon– parking lot packed– a crowd of ten hovers around the take-a-number ticket thing at the deli inside. Not to worry. There are eight workers behind the counter– eight! Bada boom bada bing, I’m ordering my ¾ pound of hot dry cappicola(wow, it’s good) sliced thin and a pound of provolone. Bing bang boom, I’m grabbing a half dozen of the fresh round rolls. Bang bing bing, I’m through the checkout and back in my car in four minutes. I timed it I like their hot dry cappicola, and now nothing less will do. I am subtracting a star since they prestuff their cannoli.

stopped in to pick up items for dinner. I didn’t realize that it was near closing time. after walking around for 15mins and filling my shopping basket, the lights in the store started turning off. I walked to the register to check out and no one was available. I waited a few minutes and no one returned to the front, so I left the basket and walked out. I definitely won’t be back.

After living here for over 2 years, I finally tried my first tomato pie. Granted the pie looks dry and boring, this reiterates a phrase I learned back in my elementary school days that, «you can’t judge a book by it’s cover»… My first bite into the focaccia-like dough topped with a thick tomato paste made me regret not having tried it sooner. The tomato topping is packed full of flavor and the sparsely sprinkled cheese was pungent enough to flavor every bite. My first tomato pie was a spur-of-the-moment purchase, as I originally came to Sam’s to kick a craving for cannoli. While the cannoli wasn’t quite as good, or fresh as Mike’s Pastry in Boston, it did the job. I will definitely return to Sam’s whenever I get a craving for Italian. Last, but NOT least, Sam’s sells Stock’s Bakery’s famous pound cake!!! After an attempt of driving out to Stock’s to find it closed, I had yet to try«the best pound cake ever». It must’ve been fate that I came across the display of Stock’s pound cake at Sam’s. They sell a full loaf for $ 13.99, or by the slice $ 2.49. I left Sam’s a happy customer and will definitely be back!

Sam’s, what can I say? You make me happy. The BEST tomato pie I have ever had. Maybe it’s because my Mom always got it after work on Fridays, but it makes me so happy to eat it! Not to mention the fact that the store is totally clean, the people are nice and helpful, and their prepared foods are all FRESH! I think that you’ll be a convert if you’re ever in the mood for plain old tomato pie. The prices are good as well. Great for an appetizer if you are in a hurry!

Ok, place is ok nothing out f the ordinary, prices are a bit over the average and some of the product are on the stale side(Panettone and Pandoro the worst). Bread is average to good, decent selection at the deli counter(not all imported) and some decent dessert. All in all there is a better Italian Deli on York Rd. in Warminster, with a greater selection of original Italian products and cold cuts. They also offer great bread and a wonderful selection of meat and poultry mostly butchered locally. Before I get flamed I am born and raised in Italy, just moved here ten years ago, so let me tell you I know what I am talking about when it comes to Italian Food.

This little market… has the best tuna hoagies so when my office relocated I was so distraught. The rolls are baked on the premises and the family environment is great. You don’t have to live in Philly to get a great hoagie… try the Italian also! Chow.

Great neighborhood deli! Being Italian myself, it is a good feeling to find many items that I grew up enjoying in Western NY. The olives, cheeses, bakery section, breads all fantastico!

I’ve only been to Sam’s twice but I’ve never been disappointed. Really great margarita pepperoni and other cured meats. Their red bliss potato salad is amazing! They also have a great selection of breads, oils and pastas and other Italian specialty items that are hard to find elsewhere. Love Sam’s!

Tomato pie, a delicacy of Southeastern Pennsylvania, is unheard of where I grew up on Long Island and Queens. So it is appropriate that it makes me think of my wife, who grew up in Norristown. I met my future wife in Audubon PA in December 2003. That night someone brought over something called«tomato pie.» I was confused. It looked kind of like pizza but not quite. And it was served at room temperature. I tried it and became a believer immediately. Later, in Fall 2004 when I had started dated my future wife, we picked up some tomato pie in South Philly for a party she was having. Again, a home run. This was pre-Yelp and I don’t remember the establishments that provided my two awesome tomato pie experiences that were so intertwined with my earliest memories of my wife. Which is why these last few years have been so vexing on the tomato pie front. My wife and I have moved to Glenside and I haven’t had good tomato pie in forever. Someone brought Corropolese tomato pie from Norristown to a picnic last summer. I had heard their’s was fantastic. It was a fail. Not all that tasty and the crust was tough. I had to really bite down hard on it to break it off. Yesterday(6÷10÷11) at work, someone put out a box of tomato pie from Sam’s. It was from the day before. I tried it. Day old and it brought me right back to those two great experiences with my wife years ago! Thank you Sam’s! The next time we entertain I will nag my wife to no end to serve a Sam’s tomato pie to our guests. After four years of living in Glenside, I have finally found my tomato pie place!

OK Sam’s is like an institution in the Philly suburbs– little old Italian ladies come from miles around to get the good deli meat and fresh rolls. They carry a pretty wide selection of italian dried and canned items, as well as lots of fresh foods like tomato pies and hoagies and cannolis. I also like that I can get good olives, pick individual rolls from the big bins, and buy an obscene amt of sharp provolone cheese. This place is the real deal.

I spent most of my childhood going to the Italian markets in Trenton so when my favorites all closed down I was really disappointed. Then I moved to Horsham and found Sam’s. Wow. This place was such a pleasant surprise. They have a good selection of Italian groceries and a wonderful deli. Their hoagies are the best in the area and they always taste very fresh. I’ve yet to try their baked goods but everything looks amazing, especially the fruit tarts. Sam’s doesn’t look like much from the outside and it may be easy to overlook in the wake of all the other shops and strip malls in the area but don’t pass them by, they’re great!

I absolutely love Sam’s. I wish I lived closer to Willow Grove so that I could visit it more often. Growing up in a very Italian family(my mother was raised in Italy) and having the majority of my family live in the Italian section of the Bronx, I’ve become accustomed to authentic Italian fare — especially bakery/deli specialties. Sam’s is the place I go when I need to quell the desire for Italian meats and cheeses. They really do have everything, and all at reasonable prices. If you find yourself in the area, I highly recommend getting a fresh mozzarella ball or some of the fresh ricotta. I cannot say enough good things about Sam’s.
